Bought a car from Approved Cars & Finance, agreed the sale on the condition that they supply the spare key that they could not find on the day but assured us there was one. Surprise surprise they cannot find it and are ignoring all forms of contact when we try to chase up. I’m telling anyone that wants to know to avoid this untrustworthy outfit.

Please note this is not a negative review only describing my experience . Car I bought was advertised on the Approved Cars and Finance website and autotrader as with documented history and lower mileage , upon sale dealer could only produce last mot and 2 years old invoice for service and mileage was 2000 miles more than advertised. I was promised that all service book and rest of documentation will be posted to me within 2 weeks. I put money on saturday pm and was collecting later in week. At collection I found out that this car has only one key and seller used trick showing me sticker on his dest "only one key polisy". I paid rest of they money as I was sworn by manager about second key and documentation will be sent to me. On my way home i've noticed heavy smoke and engine rattling , no power . I have called them straight away and came back to the garage next day am. As applogies I was offered 12 months warranty straight away in doors , they even printed out job order from thier own work shop with new clutch , diesel injectors , and service on. I let car for repairs and took my old px car for use. I was called and informed about injector problem (they claimed to fit new on job printout). And after every friday same call about another week in wotk shop sa they sent injectors for cleaning , later to reseting etc... I have checke vehicle history and found out this was finance failure car as half of stock in the garage. After 4 week without repaired car , without promised second key or documentation I have rejeccted car and claimed refund. It took another month to get my money back , and another 2 weeks to send back my old cars service book and documantaion. BEWARE BEFORE BUY CHECK EVERYTHING ASK QUESTIONS , DEMAND PAPERWORK ON THE TABLE AND BOTH KEYS! Good luck!

We viewed a car and put a deposit down to hold the vehicle based on agreed minor work being done. Went to pick it up and more damage was on the car than when we viewed it. We requested a refund of our deposit and their customer service went out of the window. They were rude, arrogant, unhelpful and wouldn’t refund the deposit whilst we were there and would do it within 24 hours. Chased today to see if they have processed the refund and my wife was shouted at by a vile man called Jason who apparently is one of the directors. Whilst we were waiting for our refund yesterday we also could not believe that one of the ladies was reading out an email/complaint from a customer and they were all gathered around laughing about it. If you want a quality used vehicle Do not touch this company. Buy it elsewhere from people who have a tiny amount of customer service.

Bought my car from here and has never missed a beat. Had my car serviced here recently as work in the area. Great service all round
