Whet to Arnold Clarke Stafford to sell my car and the member of staff there Carl gave us a quick valuation and said if you want to sell it book online appointment and he could sort it that day.. we booked for 12pm and arrived on time and we were told by another member of staff we might have to come back another day…what after booking a appointment…we were then asked to wait in the waiting area and after a hour and a half we left the staff could not be bothered so my advice is stay clear of that store has there own costumer services advised me the Stafford branch has got staff issues.
The best advice I can give to you, is please DO NOT buy from Arnold Clark. Our experience is that they will just lie constantly to get a sale. The after care customer service is none existent. The manager and sales person at Stafford actually ghosted our calls! How unprofessional is that? Plus the car had not been cleaned when we picked it up. We had to clean sick from the door. Worst experience of buying a car ever. Never again.
Paid £99 to reserve a car to be delivered to branch near me , 5 phone calls in the time from day of paying reservation, to get information for buying vehicle, car pre delivery inspection done 18 days to get car moved to branch for pickup, then told 48hrs before we can view vehicle as needs preparation to view ,cancelled order got £99 back quicker than waiting for viewing poor customer service from Arnold Clark , only wished read reviews before paying deposit as not the first to wait for weeks for delivery ,

1. I bought a used car in Jan 2023 and it was't safe it had defective indicators.It took a two hour wait to get a new bul fitted for the car . 2. In July 2023 I took the car to AC Stafford Branch to fit a new tyre. It came back at 1.6 bar. Shoddy service. 3 It is a nightmare to get to talk directly to anyone at the branch. You get timed out or told you would be transferred. Then you get told some one will ring you back, they don't. The Stafford Branch from my experience is to be avoided at all costs.

I'm writing this regarding really unprofessional service from anorld clock under the manager Lee observation I explained my car problems but without fixing the original problem thay fix something else without my permission and charge me nearly £1500 I'm still facing the problem even more often. bad service ever never gonna buy a car from ripped off company or do the auto care service as thay say its free but a real lie. make a big mistake and paid £500 for auto care warranty for 2 years. stay away from this company bad service ever I have no word to describe about Andrew and Lee service....

We were unimpressed by the chap that told us he was the sales manager who ‘invited himself’ into our negotiations but just wanted to talk about himself and big himself up. They fumbled a deal together with so many see through promises just to get the deal as it was the last day of the month, then when we arranged to collect the car they call to tell us that they have no V5 registration document so we couldn’t collect it. We needed the new automatic car urgently as my wife can no longer use her left leg without serious pain in her knee and our old car was a 3 door Fiat which made it difficult getting a 4 year old child in and out of his seat so she was really struggling. Arnold Clark didn’t care, didn’t call back, we left 2 messages in one day requesting a call back but no call came so they can shove their car.
I respect that and everybody has a job to do and the way the world goes around is by people buying things however having dealt with a salesman at Arnold Clark by the name of Aaron I witnessed the most Aggressive/unprofessional form of a salesman trying to get my business getting , A lot of hand gestures made towards me , directing me here and there, a lot of “come on let’s do the deal now” innuendos and quite frankly the worst pressure/ sales experienced I have ever encountered, it was quite nerve-racking to say no to this man because of his persistence accompanied by his arrogance and if I am honest what felt like his own love for himself, quite creepy , it 100% put me off ever buying from Arnold Clarke and if In the future I went to another garage and saw this man working there, I would walk out.
I do not recommend it, they told me that the deposit is refundable, I paid and now the seller is looking for all kinds of excuses for not sending me money back, very disappointed. I already waiting for more than a month and half.

We purchased a VW Passat Hybrid last week, having never driven a hybrid we needed to know the basics and we were promised a video to show the different dials and what the switches meant and how the hybrid battery worked, the video never arrived even after going back and asking, also we found out from a VW garage that this car had 5 recalls on it, we told this to Arnold Clarke and they said they did not anything about the recalls, after we stamped our feet they said they would get it sorted, but one of the recalls were to do with the electric battery which meant it had to go to Soulihull, Arnold Clarke did not tell us this we found this out when we were at the VW Garage which meant it would not gave been done, also we were promised our dash cam back from our previous car, this had not happened, all they want is to meet the end of month figures, once they have your money you never existed.!

I just bought a fait 500 of you now the light for the low tyre presure light keeps comming i have had it back 3 times and it still doing it also i hsd on my dash that the car also needed a service now to me when you bye car frome a garage all this should not happen so someone there is not doing there job right time the big bosess got a grip on there staff

My Experience with Arnold Clark started begining of January after having a bad experience with another dealership I found a nice Volkswagen CC on the Arnold Clark website and called the dealership (East Kilbride Arnold Clark Scotland) I am from Hull but my sales advisor Stuart Lennox said this won’t be an issue and the car will be sent to Doncaster for me to click and collect he was really helpful got me to Doncaster and had my part ex looked over and offered me exactly what I wanted for the car, we did the deal and I was happy with the service at this point infact it was excellent but as soon as I commited to the car the customer service completley dissapeared he said he would let me know when the car was prepped and ready for transport and it should be done within a few days 3-4 days passed and I called he said it was prepped however the mot had £500 in advisories he said he would look into this for me and let me know and never did until I emailed 3 days later asking for answers and he says these where done but the mot would remain with the advisories on (abit dodgey) he told me the car had been sent for transport after a further 2 days of chasing and 9 days of chasing it up and been ignored later I got InTouch with Doncaster because Stuart wasn’t giving me any answers or even getting back to me other than a blunt email here and there and Doncaster was very helpful said they don’t understand why I haven’t had an update typed reg in and said it will arrive today but no admin was in to invoice the car so I’d have to wait until Monday (this was Saturday) I said I’d need to come the following Saturday as I work untill 4:30 and live in Hull so getting there for 6 would be to tight I might not make it the reply I got was this “well you’ve come in on a low finance rate and as of 27/01/21 our rates all change so you will end up going from 4.5% APR to 8.9% APR” so they string me along for over 2 weeks don’t give me a collection day and treat me like they don’t want to do business with me and then threaten me with this? Doncaster also told me all they have to do is type my reg in for tracking my vehicle and that it had been in numerous compounds and numerous drivers taking it home over night. At this point I should of pulled out but I can honestly say if you are reading this do not purchase your new vehicle from this company look else where I had nothing but stress when spending thousands of pounds on a car and feel like I wish I never bothered In the first place I even asked the salesman Stuart Lennox if there was any fees if I just pull out the deal and he said no fees you can do that... Imagine employing a car salesman that doesn’t even try to talk someone out of pulling out of a deal and lies to customers if I was this guy’s manager he would be gone but I’m guessing the management is even more to blame than Stuart himself. What a disaster of a company Arnold Clark would be turning in his grave this place is an absolute joke shop. I’d also like to add THE 60 DAY WARRANTY IS GARBAGE AS YOU ARE COVERED BY TRADING STANDARDS FOR 6 MONTHS SO DONT LET THESE COW BOYS GET YOU WITH THAT ONE EITHER!!! Update the cars mot advisories where never done as stated by my sales advisor Stuart Lennox and this has been confirmed by a reputable garage now I’m having to pay for this! I’ve had to replace the wheels as they where wielded inside with serious damage and unsafe for use! And the swirl marks from the terrible valet and paint work is also been sorted all together I’m having to pay £1,580 because Arnold Clark are useless and won’t help customers! STAY AWAY AND LOOK OUT FOR MY NEWS PAPER ARTICLE ON THEM COMING SOON!!

Everything looks good. Everyone is very friendly. But it’s just illusion. When You buy a car they don’t care anymore about You. They sold me car with few serious defects e.g gear box, wiring problems. I was trying get some help from them but it was awful. When I gave them a call and asked about some help some lady(manager) said she’s very busy and she can’t help me. Another bloke said he doesn’t care about my problem coz guy who sold me the car is not at work today. Still waiting for respond for my mail. Avoid them if You don’t want lose You’re money.

I live in Manchester and saw a vehicle on their website, Stafford branch. £99 reserve fee payed. The following days I was promised a video that never arrived. Sales manager Matt, put the phone down when a request was made for the video a second time. Salesperson Ben promised vehicle would be ready in two days time and after travelling from Manchester to Stafford, the vehicle was offsite and would not be ready that day. Full tank of fuel offered as compensation. Complaint to Chris Hargreaves, Manager. He promised to oversee the preparation of vehicle for Friday collection and would call back with an update. Never bothered to contact. Following day, Ben stated that vehicle had a dent in door and a new door was on order and would take a week at least to arrive and fit. The above is a short version. I dealt with multiple salespersons and managers. Promises never kept, poor information and no regard to customer service. I cancelled the order. DO NOT USE ARNOLD CLARKE.

I paid a deposit for a car at Arnold Clark Stafford. I decided not to go ahead and asked for my deposit to be refunded and was told that it will take between 3 - 5 working days That was a week ago. I phoned the branch again yesterday as I did not receive the refund and was reassured by Luke that the refund is being processed and that I should get my refund within 1 - 2 days. As I did not receive my refund today I phoned the branch again. I spoke to Scott who checked with the accounts department and was told that the forms for the refund was only sent in yesterday and that I will have to wait 3-5 working days for it to go back into my bank account!!!!! This is the worst customer service that I have had from a garage. Never again will I deal with Arnold Clark! v

HAD TO CONSTANTLY CHASE UP PASSED FROM AARON THE SALESMAN TO PAUL THEN TO CHRIS THEY ARRANGED FOR CAR TO BE REPAIRED UP IN SCOTLAND THEY HAD FOR TWO WEEKS TO TELL ME AT THE END ITS 20 INCH WHEELS THAT SHOULD BE ON CAR AND NOT 18 INCH, THE BRANCH OFFERED TO BUY CAR BACK OF ME BUT WOULD NOT CONFIRM THIS IN WRITING, THEY SENT ME A CHEQUE TO HAVE WHEELS REFURBISHED, THERE HEAD OFFICE JUST PASSED ME BACK TO STAFFORD, WILL NEVER BUY FROM ARNOLD CLARK AGAIN .MAYBE IF THEY NEVER HAD SO MANY MEETINGS AND DEALT WITH CUSTOMERS THEY MIGHT GET SOMEWHERE AS EVERY TIME I CALLED THERE WAS NO ONE AVAILABLE AS ALL IN THE MEETING !!

Well. Please avoid Arnold Clark Stafford Motorstore. Story goes like this. Bought a car on finance in 2018 and was offered a service plan as they were 10 minutes from me. Dumb me , bought 2 years of service plan for approx £250. Upon asking about if I could use any approved garages for servicing as I would have to move (work reasons), I was assured that there are many branches within the UK, wherever I move. Now, I am in Aldershot and the closest one to me is Oldrey (101 miles away). Tried booking waiting in servicing which is 30 days after only. AS I DON'T WANT TO DRIVE 2 CARS AND COME BACK AND THEN DRIVE THE NEXT DAY TO COLLECT IT. THIS IS 400 MILES ON ONE CAR AND 200 ON OTHER. As I have not been given any other options or garages near me. This being totally unacceptable, tried getting in touch with Arnold Clark original car purchase branch requesting if I could get a refund for a service that I cannot make, well!!! have been told that this cannot happen by the sales person and the Manager. I would suggest anyone to avoid Arnold Clarks Servicing package as this is not ideal in cases when you might have to move. I would suggest Arnold Clark have a look into matter like this as I am now forced to use the servicing which I have not already used and it would make a good costumer rapport if things like this could be considered from a customer's behalf. I have recommended approx 6 of my friends about Arnold Clark but will not do it anymore because after purchase support in cases like this is not very supporting. Regards

Having found the car on the web I emailed Arnold Clark Stafford Motorstore to express an interest in the vehicle. From that moment the sales staff particularly Stuart Hemming provided me with sufficient assistance and encouragement to fly over from Northern Ireland to examine the vehicle in person and complete the sale. Nice touches like meeting me at Stafford rail station on time instilled confidence in the sales department. The vehicle was well presented and the deal went through. I have now enjoyed 3months of ownership but have experienced some problems with the back up support from the service department. On one occasion while in Glasgow I was directed by Arnold Clark Clarkston to take the vehicle to Mercedes as it was still under warranty even when Arnold Clark had put their warranty on the vehicle. A further problem arose when I attempted to book it in for a service with an Arnold Clark Mercedes dealership in Grangemouth they informed me they did not honour the service plan. During these hiccups I have been fully supported by the sales department but they have not been helped by the after sales department. I have now got the few problems sorted out and am enjoying my motoring once again. I would not let the issues I have encountered deter me from dealing with Stuart Hemming when I come to change

Recently purchased my car from Arnold Clark motorstore Stafford, I had it transported from a branch in Scotland using there click and collect service, on arrival there were a couple of faults with the car noted by Sean and Steve, so collection was delayed. Steve went out of his way to get things sorted, I have since been back with another problem which Sean and Steve have again helped to get this resolved. Whilst I am not too happy with the branch in Scotland that delivered the car I cannot fault the Stafford branch. Many thanks to Sean and Steve.

Wouldn’t buy again from Arnold Clark Stafford Motorstore. If your desperate and need finance give it a go I’ll never go there again , their very good at the selling but as soon as you have a problem they don’t wanna know , when you try an get hold of them nothing , when you go to see them all you get is shrug of shoulders. Look else where first you’ll get far better treatment. I paid cash for mine , it’s starts off all good . Cup of coffee etc , just got to get the sale end ... don’t bother unless your desperate, I’m not so will not return again.. good luck don’t get took in by all the chatter.

My daughter bought her first car from Arnold Clark Stafford Motorstore, what should have been a happy time quickly became a nightmare for her, the car went into limp-mode on the way home, brought into service department where they allegedly fixed the problem, only for it to happen again a week later when she was at high speed and she almost crashed. By this time the exhaust was also blowing and a multitude of other faults. She is being messed about by them and fobbed off at every turn including lies about the condition in which the vehicle was returned. When I got fed up and decided to threaten them with Trading Standards I was spoken to rudely by a manager. Really don’t know how they can say they do all these safety checks they bleet on about. Disgusting company!

As an expectant first time mum I had been looking at replacing my 3 door Corsa with a newer and more practical 5 door car for quite some time. My original plan was to replace my car with a newer Corsa from a Vauxhall dealer. All this changed quickly however as soon as I set foot in the Arnold Clark Branch in Stafford. About a week ago, I spotted a lovely 67 reg Peugeot 208 with just 1mile on the clock online, so I decided to visit Arnold Clark and have a look at it in person. Upon my arrival my husband and I were greeted by the pleasant and extremely knowledgeable Robbie Dodd. I explained which car I was looking for and he immediately took us to it, he gave us plenty of time to check out the car without hassling us while at the same time staying nearby to answer all our questions. I loved the car straight away but wasn’t sure as I had never driven a 208 before, Robbie suggested a test drive. I took advantage of this opportunity as this really helped make up my mind about how comfortable the car was. Robbie explained to me that normally a car genius comes along on any test drives rather than the sales person, as there we no geniuses available at the time however Robbie offered to jump in himself and allowed me to drive the drive wherever I wanted however long for. Afterwards my husband and I left the store to allow ourselves some time to think and look at possible alternatives. But after test driving the 208 and the experience at Arnold Clark it soon became obvious to me this was the car I wanted. Even more so after opening an attachment sent to me by Robbie. He had sent me a personalised and detailed video review of the car we had looked at. So we decided to return later that day and managed to get a good deal of Robbie. At first the car was just above my budget, after some negotiating however we managed to reach a very acceptable agreement. The car was given a complimentary full service the next morning and just a day after I had test driven it I was driving home my shiny new 208. Before leaving the car park at Arnold Clark Robbie gave me plenty of time to inspect the car and helped me set up the Bluetooth connection to my phone. He also explained they were unable to get the film of the chrome underneath the windows, so he had had all the chrome replaced free of charge as he said he wouldn’t have felt comfortable selling us the car otherwise. The car looked absolutely stunning! Once I got home my husband noticed the ariel was missing however, so I phoned Robbie, he told me to come back up and within a few minutes I was on my way back again with the ariel fixed. I couldn’t have asked for a better car buying experience! Thank you to Robbie Dodd and all the people who looked after my new car at Arnold Clark Stafford. I am one very happy customer.

Myself and my partner have never ever experienced customer service like Arnold Clarke Stafford , we were dealing with a man jo who has still not returned our phone call every time we call "he is busy” which seems like he is avoiding our phone call due to being given a faulty car within half an hour of leaving it came up coolient level , then the car would not start and now we are being told by the aa it has a break fault which is highly dangerous and we cannot drive this car - we are now being told we can not have a courtesy car in the mean time this is the worst car dealership , they don’t check the cars properly and do not help in the process !!

We made a deal on a car, We trusted the dealer to give a honest opinion of the car and point out any marks or issues related to the care. We put trust into the dealer with the vehicle being from Stafford and being collected from Newcastle Arnold Clark. Upon collection of the vehicle, we noticed a few stone chips on the vehicle which should have been pointed out. Fare enough stone chips can happen at any time, but should be nice to be let known of the true vehicle condition. If this was mentioned before this may of not been a issue. The dealer was seem to move at all to offer any discount for this inconvenience. Rather cheeky the sales man tried to offer touch point to correct the marks. The salesman tried to say we checked the car through and through before it was sent and the stone chips occurred during transit. Again if this was true, this should of been pointed out. The salesman wasn't prepared to meet us in the middle of any negotiation. He wasn't to fussed to help or suggest ideas for a customer. I thought this was poor professional service. If honesty was provided from the start, there be no issue today.

I have the same problem. I spent a lot of money with them. Then on closer inspection there are lots of little chips all over the bonnet. Hardly noticeable if you stand away from the car. Not sure what to do as the salesman named Chris says it’s a few chips and not willing to do anything. I can have it sprayed at my cost for £250. How did you get on?
Salesman bragged that he would be available anytime, "I even closed a deal at I o'clock in the morning," Yet when we wanted to collect a car on Thursday evening, it was not convenient as "cars are taxed on Wednesdays". Upon completion of the sale he produced gift vouchers from his desk, and bragged that they were to be presented to customers who were waivering, the moral being to pretend to waiver to receive his "persuasions"!!!!
Mt experience with this dealership has been a nightmare. The car is having a number of issues and I am having to take the car back for a lot of repairs. I am not happy with the service at all and I would not recommend.

I've had the same problem with my car. Since taking it to another garage to get checked over I've discovered the car has been in a major crash and is a mess. Don't trust Arnold clark
I bought a Kia Sportage from Arnold Clarke Stafford Motorstore back in April. They were really friendly, accessible and the whole process was really easy. I would highly recommend this dealership. The car was really clean and in very good condition and I have not had any issues with it at all.

In summary great service and aftercare support from Arnold Clark Motorstore in Stafford, thanks for all of your help. Me and my husband put the wrong fuel in and they sorted it out for us even though it was our own fault. We thought this was absolutely brilliant. They did cheaper than AA would have done and at first we wasnt even sure we did this when we took the car in to see what was wrong
