We drove from Kent after seeing this car on the website. everything was as description & we were very impressed. David made us feel very welcome & explained all the details of the wheelchair adapted car it was just what we were looking for so we were very happy to go ahead with the purchase? Very friendly people & I would reccomend Avon Valley Garage to others.

Having found this car on the internet, and arranged a test drive at Avon Valley Garage, we were impressed by easy going, no hard sell attitude. Danny was very knowledgeable and helpful, as were all the guys we met. stress free purchase, and would recommend.

I bought my car from Kevin at Avon Valley Garage for around £4000. For about a week all went well. Then the faults started. At first they had the car back for a week or so and he gave me a very battered old courtesy car so I could still get to work, drive my family around etc. Very soon after the faults came back and he hadn’t fixed them at all. When I complained again his tone changed dramatically, I was told that I had bought a cheap car and what did I expect!!!! After lots of argument he said that he would take another look at my car but there would be no courtesy car and he would have the car several weeks. He was very rude to me. We have spent a lot of money trying to get the car fixed else where. And some of the problems are still present as they are electrical. Buying a car from Kevin at Avon Valley Garage has been a terrible experience, Avoid.

Thanks for your thoughts,i can remember this quite clearly,the courtesy car did have a dent in it caused by the previous customer who only brought it back the morning you took it away,as for the fault you complained about,we had it looked at by the main dealer twice who on both occasions gave it a clean bill of health ei no faults found along with our workshops this car was a nice car drove well and did not have any problems whatsoever when brought back to us on both occasions.If we found a fault we would have been only to pleased to have mended it.Very puzzled Kevin?
Visited to see car on Sunday, very impressed with condition inside and out. Test drive Monday with Andy and Tuesday completed transaction with David Wheeler who throughout was very helpful and informative. There was no hard sell chatter, which was refreshing and any queries were answered in a very helpful and professional manner,. So 10 out of 10 for all at Avon Valley and as for the car, I am thrilled with it. I would thoroughly recommend this garage to anyone looking for a car in the future.

I have been looking for a high quality used Honda CRV and came across one online at Avon Valley, I gave it close inspection and found the car exactly as described, after an impressive test drive I had no hesitation in buying it that morning and was delighted to take it home that same day. A high quality car from a no pressure sales man..... a pleasure to do business with and would recommend to anyone.

We received a great friendly service from Avon Valley Garage. We started looking Sunday morning for a 2nd family car and by Tuesday we were driving our new car home. They made the process painless, quick and were very knowledgeable. The car has all its paperwork, full service history and manual and was excellent mileage. I'd definitely recommended them to a friends.

All I wanted was a `reliable` car. But this is what I then got for my £6000 so called `quality car` from Avon Valley Garage. - A Leaking Turbo gasket. - Clutch needed replacing. - Clutch pedal master cylinder faulty - Battery then failed. - Leaking thermostat. - Starting motor also then failed. - Front window motor faulty. Would not close shut. - Air con never did work as ``advertised`` due to the hole it had in air condenser unit. - Both front shock absorbers and top mounts worn.(checked by Fords after hearing knocking sounds and then told by AVG that they would not put this right as with some of the other problems this car had. - Leaking water pump after that had already been renewed 8 weeks before. - Then a rear water hose started leaking. Then it needed a new auxiliary belt. - Green flag were called out 3 times and one recovery. - Car has spent 11 days in the garage (two long weekends without a car) - 7 lost days from work/earnings & having to cancel work and apologise to my clients. According to the owner of Avon Valley Garage I am now a quote `a whinger` for complaining. Or maybe all this above is quite acceptable? They were all very nice on the day they took my money and sold me this car. From that point onwards it went down hill. They never once returned my calls. Making me feel that `I` was now the problem and not the car. The day I rang to make a complaint about this endless list of problems. All I got in return was a very rude and clearly now irritated owner of this Garage who was constantly interrupting me, did not listen to a word I was saying as he was yapping away with personal insults towards me. Maybe they should have done a full check of this car before putting it on the forecourt. That's his failing. Not the customers. The last thing Kevin said to me was ``we're done`` yeah I know I was. But you make your own mind up. Its your money.

What this customer wrote here is pure slander. This customer gives the people reading this the impression he paid for all this work ,the real, and the false made up work,this is not so,we paid for everything! What this customer did was to use the warranty to try and make an old high mileage car into a new one,When i was selling him the car he was telling me lots of stories that he had never ever bought a car from a dealer that was perfect,all the garages were bad,I should have heard alarm bells ringing,and not sold him the car,I was in for a bad review from that moment on.I could have sold it to someone nice.If i had the chance to sell this customer a brand new car with £50,000 profit in it i would sooner nail my foot to the floor! If only he was so fussy over his own trade. Regards Kevin.

Thank you for confirming your arrogance and disrespect to your customers when there is a problem with the cars you sell. If you had read my review properly. You would have noticed I said “some of the other problems this car had” I never said I paid for everything! False made up work? Fords would be more than happy to prove that they worked on this car for me and list all the problems that they then found. I have all the receipts for parts and labour that I had to pay for when you told me that you would not put right some faults right under the warranty. I also offered and paid £140 for a clutch plate as a good will gesture on my part. Bigger fool me.Got my hand bite off there. Best to get facts right before making claims of slander. As for my own trade comment. I'm not sure what that had to do with this matter? I have never had a single complaint in over 24y ears and I would never be so rude to any of my customers. I am well within my rights to write an honest review regarding the dealings I had with this garage following problems with this car and the way I was treated. Alarm bells indeed.
Avon Valley Garage is Saltford is a great friendly car dealer with a vast range of cars at every price ,, no sales pressure whatsoever so you can look to your hearts content. If you cant find your car here I would be surprised. Great staff who even spent time online to tax it for me , my card sadly but even I didn't expect to get it paid for me. I have rarely bought from a dealer but I would from this one.
