Got a car from one of the "trusted dealers" (Balgonie Motors in Glenrothes) and it was put through a dodgy mot and ended up near killing me only 7 months into ownership, that was after I had to have the clutch replaced of course even though I was told it just had a new one... also was told it had full service history, didn’t come with any though lol. Tried to resolve the issue through motonovo and was pretty much told they weren’t interested and that they wanted the money and that was it!! Avoid both motonovo and Balgonie Motors at all costs, absolutely shocking customer service and very violent. By that I’m referring to the time I threatened to go to Balgonie Motors Garage to speak to the manager and the guy that originally sold me the car called me and threatened me if I ever went round there...

Bought a used Audi. Very easy and friendly transaction, completely hassle free. Would definitely recommend Balgonie Motor Company. Love the car :)

Bought an older Honda Jazz from Balgonie Motor Company that was priced great, the experience of picking out a car with Cooper was brilliant. He gives you plenty of space to check out the cars, is very knowledgeable about his vehicles and was helpful in deciding petrol vs diesel for us. All in all, great dealership, good prices, I couldn't recommend them enough. When I need to get another car I'll be coming back here!

Balconies Motor Company are a Great bunch of guys to deal with, thats 3 cars in total I've purchased from them over the years, with only 1 small problem on the 1st car i bought, but it was fixed and back the very next day. Its 5 stars from me!

Honestly Balgonie Motor Company is the worst company I have ever done Business with. I was first skeptical in purchasing a car from these guys after reading negative reviews but I decided to go ahead. The worst decision I have made in my life and I regret every bit. I bought A Renault Clio from these guys with apparently no MOT advisories. After two days of purchasing the car, while driving the car suddenly broke down and died on me. I had to be towed by the AA and they had fortunately fixed the fault (took 2 hours 15 mins to fix). I then phoned balgonie back and they did not even apologize! (I live in Glasgow so its a damn long drive away!). The workers were apocalyptic-ally rude there and they tell too many lies. I took the car to my friends garage for a free MOT check and he found 7 Advisories!!!. I then took the car back to the garage and Clearly the employees were cheesed off as I had complained about the lack of trust and service to their customers, 3 Hours later I come back and OH! surprise surprise! there is a massive scratch on the side of my car and a small dent on the front bumper with paint worn off. They denied it was any of them and I did not feel welcomed at all!. The car was also valeted when I purchased it but this is complete bull crap, Crisps and pieces of food in the glove box, Mud marks on the back of the seat, the car was very dirty and the wind screen was really bad. I really do not understand how a few people are giving positive reviews to this company (probably fake). They are utter rubbish! Workers are very rude especially one named John. I have reported them with a complaint. I asked them for service history as they claimed they had a history for the car. They told me they would post it to me, 3 months later still nothing! I hope this shows a strict warning to those looking to do business with Balgonie Motor Company.

I would be extremely wary about using Balgonie Motor Company and the nearby garage who they use to MOT their cars. A car I bought for my son was sold with a new MOT and not a single advisory note was mentioned on the MOT certificate. When I got the car MOT tested (1400 miles later) it failed its MOT and required the following work to be done on it to pass: New complete exhaust system, new front brake disks, new front brake pads, 4 x new tyres, new front brake pipe, new CV boot, 2 x new front wipers. The car was also serviced by this garage and when my local garage did out an oil change on the car I was informed that they had fitted the old oil filter upside down. Avoid this garage at all cost or be prepared to pay out a lot of money afterwards. The car went on to have further problems with the gear linkage arm, battery, CV joint, starter motor, ignition coil pack, ABS system, both rear brakes, hand brake, and the cambelt tensioner which kept failing. This ultimately lead to the cambelt continually being thrown and the water pump failing. This caused the engine to overheat and ultimately seize up. The car is now lying in a scrap yard and my son has been left with an empty bank account and without a car. All this was within 6000 miles of buying the car from this dealer. Stay well clear of Balgonie Motor Company....you have been warned!!!

Do NOT buy off this dealer. I bought a Peugeot 207 from him late last year and I've had nothing but trouble with it. I've ended up spending over £500 to date on repairs and it is still coming up with faulty messages! It came with a 3 month guarantee and I had to take it back 3 times. One of the appointments was not even booked in! I was getting a faulty air pollution message, was told it was fixed but all they had done was reset the computer. Very angry. Nearly blew the head gasket.
