Visited the west malling branch this week to take a look at a few different cars. Explained my budget, and what I wanted for my car as part Ex. Went out for a test drive and decided on a car, to then be brought in, the guy took me through a sales pitch on all the different add ons (non of which wanted - overpriced rubbish) then gave me an offer for my car 1/5 of what I wanted for it. He gave me a piece of paper detailing all add ons with a total price of about £4K over my budget. We then discover that the car I wanted has no service history at all (3 year old car) why not highlight this at the start so your customer is aware?? So after wasting my time for 2 hours, I left and was told they would check if there was any service history and let me know. No one has contacted me since. I walked away with a bad taste in my mouth. Young lads in cheap suits with poor sales techniques! I wouldn’t go back, and I definitely wouldn’t trust buying a car from there!! I
Usually buy from our local BMW main dealer but not anymore as I found hundreds of them here. The price of my car was nearly £1800 cheaper than Audi themselves. Be prepared to wait as I had to wait 25 minutes due to how busy they were but I guess it was worth it in the end.

OK so this sort of place wont suit everyone - least of all my wife who hated it but for me it was ideal. Saw the car on the website, booked test drive, went to see it, agreed part ex, bought it and drove home all in a morning. Its a high volume sales operation. Not many frills but efficient and fast. The cars are rock bottom priced and if you can bring yourself to say no to the extras you will not find the same car at a retail dealer cheaper anywhere on the planet and they have loads and loads of cars... Cars look like mostly ex lease, 1 owner, serviced and checked. i bought a 24,000 mile 67 plate Mercedes CLA which had been serviced a month before and still smelled of new car! The £197 charge is a bit of a cheek but i reckon the same car would have been £1,000 -£1,500 more in a Mercedes dealership so still definitely worthwhile. Big Motoring World was rammed so glad i booked in as we jumped the queue at the desk. Whats not to like?

The below review represents my opinions only. My wife recently saw a car she really liked, (surprisingly) low miles, and so placed a holding deposit on it until we could visit the site... despite reading the poor reviews! Mistake. 30 minutes later, the price had increased by £500! 24 hours later, it was up by £1000! When I called to enquire, I was told in no uncertain terms that there was ‘interest’ in the car, and that WILL be the new price, despite my deposit. Yeah right! I am a customer with just shy of £20k to spend... lots to some, peanuts to others, but I will not be treated like this. I get the pricing system... a lot of low price airlines adopt it - when demand is high, prices rise etc. BUT, for £20k, I’m not looking for low price and budget. And I’ve never seen the system employed so openly and brashly on car sales! So, back to the inter web and... surprise! I found a similar car (better colour), same age (within 6 months), same (low) mileage from a MAIN DEALER! And we are talking a premium brand here. Full main dealer service history. Offered with 1 year MAIN DEALER warranty. Next due service completed complimentary. Drive away insurance. Even a full tank of fuel. No £200 laughable “admin charge” for the pleasure of taking my money and washing the car! No driving around Kent after parting with money to try and find a log book and spare keys. So today we went to pick up my wife’s new car. From the main dealer. What a pleasure it was. Treated like true customers. Nothing too much trouble. Full ‘Unveiling’ of the car, in the showroom. Keys presented to her in a box, attached to keys rings (nice touch!) Video of it even! Absolute peace of mind. Oh... did I tell you that with BMWorlds ‘new’ price, her car was £1500 CHEAPER than BMWorld?!?!! Yep! And, I’m sure, if you needed finance for it, they could have arranged it just as easily for you. Save yourself the trouble... the owner is already worth over £50 mil... he doesn’t need any more of your hard earned cash. Go somewhere where it, and you, will be actually valued and treated like a customer. Shame on you BMWorld. I will never consider you again, and will ensure everyone that asks me is made aware of my experience and opinion.

How I loose over £3000 at Big Motoring World! This year I brought a Jaguar XF, paid £2000 upfront and choose all the extra including GAP and 2 years warranty. After 3 months I had an accident and the car was written off. Auto Protect, the Gap company paid me a part of my costs but NOT 100%. They left me to pay £1300 to finish my credit line and when I asked for my £2000 upfront simply they did not reply to my message since before. Bad experience. Do NOT recommend.

I spent over £13,000 on a Mercedes from Big Motoring World in West Malling. Between viewing the car and when I went to collect the car someone had driven into the car and scraped the front bumper. Given that their cars are kept on a secure compound and only their staff are able to drive inside their compounds, the conclusion is that one of their staff had driven into my car. Nobody called me to tell me this before I spent half a day driving to collect the car. When I arrived (half an hour late) to the collection site, my car wasn't there. 2 hours later the car arrived (my lift was long gone) and only then did someone finally tell me what had happened. The sales assistant stated they would obviously fix the issue as it was clearly their fault and asked if I would like to the come back and collect the car another day. This clearly wasn't an option as I had no way of getting all the way back home. It was agreed that I would take the car and they would arrange for the damage to be repaired. It was agreed that I would not be expected to drive the car all the way back to Maidstone for the repairs to take place and that I would get a call on the Monday to arrange. 3 weeks later and countless hours worth of emails, phone calls and a formal complaint and they have finally offered £100 for a repair that will cost well over twice that. They are happy for me to spend over a day driving the car back to them, return home whilst they repair it, go back to collect it and drive it back again but they are outright refusing to pay the full cost of a local repair, despite the assurance they made at the time of the collection. Their manner & conduct in dealing with this has been frankly dreadful, and instead of accepting full responsibility for damage they have done to my car, they seem to be of the opinion that I should have to cover the repair costs. I usually buy much cheaper cars and have never had such an awful sales-experience which makes this so much more baffling. Cut-price-cars with more-than-cut-price service. In order to sell you the car they will promise you the best after sales service, an amazing cover-everything warranty, a nationwide repair network....the truth of the matter is appallingly different. For me there is a huge investment of trust from the customer in the dealer when buying a car, and because of this I will never ever buy another car from Big Motoring World. I would much rather pay a bit more next time and deal with people who have a modicum of self-respect, integrity and a sense of responsibility.

I had booked a test drive online for an used Volkswagen Passat. On reaching there the customer representative said they cannot allow a test drive unless we agree on a deal. How am I supposed to agree a deal without test driving? I wasted 3 hours driving to and fro only not to be able to do a test drive when in fact I got an email confirmation to say test drive was booked in!!! Once the finance options were shown I requested a copy for us to think about it, was refused (fair enough) but the rep said he will write down the details for my reference, but no, a small piece of paper with his number was given. A few time we were asked about our jobs, looked up & down, felt as if we were being assessed. Shoddy customer service! Very unhelpful. Went a small local dealership and the difference was like heaven & earth. Avoid Big Motoring World if possible. Make sure you get confirmation verbally before visiting

5* service until you’ve purchased the car! Customer service is absolutely disgusting, we where promised a service within the first year, just called to get it booked and the response I got was “do you have this in writing?” Which we don’t, more fool us but it goes to show the sales reps are allowed to promise everything to you but unless it’s in writing forget it! My dad also bought at car at the same time and had to spend £2k on repairs because they refused to cover labour and parts even though he took out the warranty. The car was already buggered. Massive scam and Big Motoring World West Malling should be shut down for taking advantage of people!
This is William here, i would like to share my misfortune and the injustice from Big Motoring World. 6 years ago, in the middle of my dealing to buy a car from Big Motoring. i met with a very serious accident and was in a coma for 6 years. i am bed ridden for the longest time and i woke up a few months ago as god still want me on earth. i got about 10,500 pounds transferred to Big Motoring World as deposit to purchase a car in June 2013. I got all the banking documents and email conversation as proof and i showed it to them. However, they denied everything. Because of the terrible accident, all my life saving had gone to my medical fee and it took a toll on my family. My wife and kids left me and i am all alone with high medical debt. I would really hope i can seek some kind of justice and have my money back. I have reported this to the police. Thank you all for listening.

Avoid these people. Modern open plan offices. Lulls you into a false sense of security. Sales assistant ok, but manager dodgy Arthur Daly type. Poorly presented cars. No physical docs available to examine. Would not allow an independent assessment say from AA or RAC & seemed genuinely offended when I asked about this The car supermarket set up is a high turnover low margin model. This means no after-sales, and cars of dubious source, plus presentation is not high on agenda Go to main dealer of bit privately, but avoid Big Motoring World.
