Bought a i30’ within 8 month , paint started peeling on bonnet and surrounding area ,was lead to believe at sale any defects on paintwork would be covered by warranty, not to be apparently it had had a re spray before I had bought it conveniently Barnsley said they knew nothing about it so said it wasn’t covered spent £11000 on car and thought from a reputable garage I thought , so I believe I was miss sold , they think it may be finished but it’s not , don’t buy from there customer care is none existent

Where do I start?Was looking for an ateca on auto trader and seen a deal with cars2 seat in Barnsley and decided to reserve a car so paid the £99 reserve fee so I could discuss it with my partner overnight.After talking it over I decided not to go for the car and phoned then next day to let them know we wouldn't be going for it.I spoke to a guy who said he would pass on the message to get the refund for the deposit returned.Waited a week and decided to phone back only to be told it hadn't been done and to wait 5 days for it to go thorough.5 days later no refund so I contacted them again to be told it was getting sent to accounts that day for a refund and wouldn't be paid the week after.Next week came and still nothing.Contacted them again to be informed it was just getting sent with the the end of day paperwork as we speak.Another week went on and still no refund.Another phone call made and was told the same thing and still nothing.After about the 6th time dealing with rude arrogant sales guys who couldn't care a less I asked to speak to the manager who was conveniently missing and that someone would pass it on to get sorted.Still no refund and another call was made and still the manager was unavailable again.Eventually I had to get my credit card involved and spend hours on the phone making a case to them to retrieve my funds.I also phoned back the garage for the 8th time to ask what was happening and again more fobbing off.Overall I'm pleased I never bought the car from these cowboys and would advise anyone to think about what aftercare you would receive if you did.Surely if i was the manager i would of took this case on and sorted the issue out 2nd time round but no.This dealership don't care,and the rudeness and arrogance of the staff told me everything I needed to know.Its taken me over a month to get my money back and wasted time and effort on the phone.I’ve been more then fair and gave them plenty of time to resolve the issue but for me they are only interested in a quick sale.Pleased to say my credit card company retrieved my money back and I can simply say I dodged a bullet.👎👎👎👎👎
We used Cars2 Ltd in Barnsley and dealt with Owen Pearman. We bought a car on the understanding that a fault would be put right (this was supported in writing). When the car was delivered to us, the fault had not been corrected. Since then, lies, ignored emails and a complete lack of aftersales care. The sort of people who give car salespeople a bad name. AVOID.

Well what can I say ...... Fabulous experience from start to finish. No high pressure salesmen, very polite, knowledgeable and curtious and even better, they have great cars! So good in fact, I bought one and am absolutely delighted. Can't recommend them highly enough, their service is 5*. Thank you John and Howard for looking after me so well but more so for my fabulous new car, I'm over the moon with it.

Polite professional we weren't turned away because Howard Burton the Motability salesman wasn't working today like we have been with some dealers we have visited in the past we got what we were looking for in these difficult times We have used the car2 group in Barnsley before when we had a different make of vehicle…….they have always given us excellent service on comparison to other dealerships

Unusual (or just bad) business practice here. They try to get you to give your personal details before you're barely out of your car! Under GDPR I'm not even sure they should be doing this unless you're buying a car (or possibly test driving one) but there's definitely no reason to collect this information if you've not even looked at a car!! This is either pressure for the sales people to make sure if a sale goes ahead, they get the commission or worse still - they are selling the information on (hopefully not). Wouldn't even open a car on the forecourt for us to look inside without us giving personal details first. Manager very rude and abrupt. Would give less than 1 star if possible. Can't actually rate the cleanliness and value of the vehicle as they wouldn't let us see it!!!

Avoid this garage and regional after sale manager Richard CATFORD after four months of getting a key fob changed under warranty the lies and verbal abuse carried out by him had to go to The Motor Ombudsman who overruled the garage and adjudication against them.Refused to go to this garage ever again and went to JCT600 Seat SHEFFIELD to have new key fob replaced under warranty and Seat Aftercare Leeds took care of arrangements

I can’t believe how bad my recent experience has been. I viewed a car on the internet and called in person at the Hyundai dealer in Barnsley. The sales man took details then disappeared trying to locate the car. At one point he came back and I said can’t you find it. He assured me it will be there. Then went off again. I had a strange conversation with another sales person did I want the car at the advertised price including the my car or did I want a part exchange price for my car. Of course you expect to pay less if you part exchange. Then they couldn’t find the key which took ages to locate. Finally keys located and the grey car on a 18 plate turned out to be a black car on a 67 plate. When I asked about the car I had come to see I was told it was sold. At which point I left. If this is sales how bad is the rest of the service.
