I recently bought a car from Doncaster Car Shop and was served by Les. He was extremely helpful and very friendly to speak to. He dealt with my queries and responded to my questions with no fuss and able to complete my part exchange very promptly.
Went to car shop yesterday afternoon 23/5/21 and was seen by Samson, he was very polite and friendly listened to everything we said and found the perfect car for me We were kept informed every step of the way and the car was spotless Samson went above and beyond to help us nothing was too much trouble for him thank you Samson and I would definitely recommend carshop to anyone looking for another car

Having reserved a car pre lockdown and the Car Shop not fulfilling their agreement to have this available to me before the new year, I purchased the car under the 14 day click and collect process. I was explicitly told that should I not wish to purchase the new car, having only seen it online at this point, that I would receive a full refund, my car that I was part exchanging would be returned to me and the new finance agreement would be reserved. I was promised 14 days grace, and re-assured that I had this time to make my decision. In the current climate, I felt this was a reasonable option. I had the car for 8 days in total, having to take it back and forth to the Repair Centre then the manufacturer due to a fault that that Car Shop told me they could not locate. I had 3 days without a car whilst the manufacturer found and fixed the fault. The Car Shop paid for this however implied that I should be grateful for my “free of charge” repair which I thought was wholly unreasonable. The whole experience during lockdown whilst trying to have minimal contact with others and still working full time, was highly inconvenient and stressful. I decided I was not happy with the car or the customer service I had received. On asking to return the car, I was shocked to be told that my car will not be returned to me, instead I was told I owed them the outstanding finance on my car and would effectively have to buy it back from them. The absolute opposite of what I had been told when collecting the car. Not having the money to do this, I then had to wait for a full refund and look to buy another car as quickly as possible. Ultimately this experience resulted in me having no car during lockdown whilst 6 months pregnant, being inconvenienced at every juncture, caused unnecessary stress and still out of pocket as I am yet to have all my money returned. I am yet to receive a response from them in relation to my last email which I sent over a week ago. Please use this service and company with caution as they have mis-sold a service and given incorrect information throughout.

YC64HFM was purchased from your Doncaster branch then delivered 14th December 2020 – unfortunately the car broke down yesterday resulting in a 5 hour wait for assistance later finding the battery had failed. The car was bumped off and is currently sat at the address above out of use. Heather is a nurse at DRI and relies on this car for her work commitments, and as this is the only car she has access to, it’s now causing disruption with work. I can organise a battery replacement to get Heather back on the road which I will no doubt be forced to do at my cost £125.71 plus fitting which is the cheapest available. When I called your branch today I was handled by a lady who stated that the battery would only be covered within the first 30 days…. Which I get given my current profession. However I do feel the lack of empathy to the situation and almost rude one line response a little frustrating knowing how I would handle this for one of my clients. I appreciate that a line must be drawn after purchase… But within 2 months of ownership and the first real cold snap I would be surprised if the battery condition wasn’t compromised prior to purchase?? This a complaint of principle as well as financial loss. I would appreciate your thoughts on this situation, and maybe even a solution..

If I could give any advice to anyone it would be to avoid the car shop (Doncaster). There customer service is appalling and the cars are not even fully checked before they are bought!!!
Absolutely thrilled with the overall experience aswell as my new car! Laslo was fab from start to finish, he was very friendly, patient with all my questions and answered them all and beyond, made me feel very comfortable and not at all pressured into buying anything but wanted to make sure that my happiness was paramount! An absolutely amazing guy, if I ever need another new car in the future he's definitely the first guy am gonna call! The business manager Kat was also lovely she helped to complete the process and again was equally as helpful and friendly. Laslo even rang after I got home to make sure everything was ok and I was happy and told me even though I've got the car now and the sale is over, if I have any questions or problems or anything at all I've got his number and I need only ring him anytime, he really has gone above and beyond I love this guy he's great at his job and a really nice guy!! :)

We were kept informed all the time about the car we bought, things were made easy for us in these difficult times very friendly and helpful staff the car its self is spotless and very assured about cleaning and sanitizing. Definitely would recommend anyone to buy from carshop thank you everyone
