Took my car for a service, the whole experience was 1st class they really look after you.

My experience of Inchcape Chester has been very poor to say the least!! I have a year old Polo after having 3 prior Polos and this one has iced up on the INSIDE of the windscreen and has constant condensation problems. After leaving the car with them at 9.30am they rang me at 13.59 to say it was ok. I asked them to keep it overnight so they could see what it's like in the morning but the very abrupt service manager said "No we need our courtesy car back" I dont believe they did a thorough investigation and just wanted their courtesy car back! I have since emailed the service manager but have had no reply, says it all VW Chester!!

My 77 year old mum bought a used Polo from Inchcape Chester, it was all great until we paid for the car and then any support following this has been dreadful. The car was sold to us with all the service requirements complete and with an MOT but when collected this hadn’t been done as they were apparently done 2 months earlier by another Inchcape branch. The Service book didn’t reflect this so it was sent off for an update but 8 weeks later I am still waiting for the book. Also when driving home the tyre warning came on I reported this the next day and was told to keep an eye on it if it happened again, well it did happen again and I left 4 messages with Mark Farrer who never returned my calls, I ended sorting the puncture out myself, I have requested a refund for the repair and still waiting. What a shambles will never deal with Inchcape VW again, during these difficult times my mum can do without all this hassle. . . Shame on you Inchcape!!

Absolutely awful experience with this dealership - to start with our salesman seemed really helpful and pleasant - right up until I drove my car away. I have found several problems with my car which the dealership is refusing to fix simply because 'well it passed the MOT'. This is not good enough - you do not expect that kind of treatment from a Volkswagen place. I was told by them that my local VW authorised garage (who checked my car after purchasing) tried to pick up on problems to get more money … this is extremely unprofessional and proves how inconsistent Volkswagen are. Read other reviews before you decide to visit this particular dealership. I would avoid at all costs. I hope they hire new people who have a basic understanding of customer service and a basic understanding of what is expected from an authorised VW garage. Clearly, this is not understood here... My car needs both rear tyres replacing, the spare key is broken, the brake pads and discs need replacing and the rear window heater is broken. And I purchased this with faith that VW would not sell a car in this state. I was clearly wrong! They expect you to bring an independent mechanic to spend a day checking the car over because they apparently only check for what is legal in their so-called 142 point check. Everything in the car could be broken yet still legal???
