Bought a Kia Picanto last week from Clarks Kidderminster. Gino guided me through the process without pressure. Finance arrangements good and the whole experience was positive.
Really impressed with the initial customer service I received from Clarks Kidderminster, firstly a lovely welcome by Nick last Sunday who in turn passed me to Tim Adams. Tim talked me through every concern I had and I get instantly at ease that I was making the best decision. I took possession of my red Picanto on Saturday and Tim talked me through the controls and answered all my questions. He subsequently rang me this morning asking how I had got on with the car and that I could contact him if ever I have any concerns. Excellent service, I will certainly recommend to my friends. Thank you Tim.
I feel the need to write to you regarding a visit on Saturday 17/02/2018, upon receiving a VIP event invitation and having an appointment booked for 15.15. Upon arrival at 15.00 we saw the gentleman who we were scheduled to see and he informed us he was running late but wouldn't be long 45 Minutes later we told them him we had had enough and started to leave. He very quickly arranged someone else to deal with us (Why couldn't he do this in the first instance) We informed the gentleman who was dealing with us we had two other dealers to go around in order for us to make a decision on the best option. We had a test drive in a Stonic and upon our return we discussed financial options. Whilst dealing with this matter the smell of the rotting banana in the bin was quite of putting. I still have finance on my vehicle which is a First edition Kia proceed in excellent condition with only 22,250 miles recorded etc. etc.. I found out the settlement figure and told the salesman and when he came back with his figures he said that the price he could take for the car gave me a shortfall of £400 ish pounds. My partner and I found this surprising but listened to the best offer he could make us a month. We left for our other appointments and went to Vauxhall but wasent keen on the vehicle. We then proceeded to Listers Seat in Worcester and my what a difference the welcome we received was fantastic very clean and professional looking. Upon taking a test drive in the Arona we went through the finances and to be told my existing car was worth £1000.00 more book price alone and they gave me a further £1700.00 on the purchase of the new Arona. We were stunned. Your sales man asked me to put more deposit down to get the monthly figure near to what I was prepared to pay and to take other items off the car. Listers seat on the other hand asked for less deposit and the monthly repayment was to my satisfaction on the first attempt how can this be?? I thought being an existing Kia owner for the last five years I would have been treated as I have been at Listers Seat. To conclude I have bought two vehicles from you in the past they will be my last. The show room experience was a disgrace and we have never felt so unwanted and let down when purchasing a vehicle. I have over many years recommended your establishment to many friends and work colleagues this has stopped from today. I feel we could put many more comments re the recent visit and past experiences but as I will never use you again I feel it is pointless. Yours a very disgruntled customer
I brought a car from Clark’s Direct Kidderminster on the 14th of July this year. Clark’s direct sold me this car KNOWING it had an oil leak and various other issues, which they did nothing about. From the get go I had nothing but trouble with the car and with Clark’s themselves. The cars wing mirrors didn’t work, the steering wheel shook at 45mph and the car had a leak in the boot which made the car STINK. This lead to an investigation into the service that we were told the car had before collection which we later discovered the car hadn’t had. That was the first lie. The car then went in to be serviced and a list of issues came out. Buckled wheel, worn break disks and pads, frayed aux belt, oil leak, tyres worn down to the legal limit. The list went on and on. The car then went in to have all of the issues including the ones mentioned previous repaired. It was in for a whole week and on collection I was told that ONLY the leak in the boot was repaired. Back into the garage the car went to have all of the other issues repaired, most importantly the oil leak. Once I collected the car the oil leak was WORSE than when it went in. I took the vehicle to a private garage to have a health check done and the outcome was horrendous. The oil had started to leak onto the breaks (disaster waiting to happen) the right-hand side breaks were engaging 50% less than the left, the gearbox had an unhealthy whining the wheels were never re-balanced after moving the buckles wheel to the back, again the list went on and on. The most alarming was that the oil leak was so extreme I was advised not to drive the car. I asked Clarks for a refund and I explained what liars EVERY SINGLE one of their members of staff were to the ‘manager’. Nick said no I wasn’t allowed a refund even when I said the car is un-driveable! They brought the car back from me on the back of a Tesco Express carpark!! How hilarious. They didn’t even ask us to go down to their offices to sign the car over. !!I am warning anyone to NEVER EVER purchase a car from Clark’s direct Kidderminster!! Their cars may come with 3 months warranty but their partner garage (who make any repairs) are just as much ‘in it’ as they are. They will fob you off and lie to you to make to think everything is ok, when it is not. The lies ranged from the number of owners (they told me it was 2 when it was 4), to telling me a door seal had been glued when in fact they DOUBLE SIDED STICKY TAPED it back to the door to the worst one telling me there was no oil leak and it been repaired when in fact it was worse than it was before!! SAVE YOURSELF THE HASSLE AND DO NOT BUY FROM THEM!! I received a FULL refund for the car which is Clark’s taking responsibility and admitting they were at fault with the car. They obviously realised the severity of selling a car as ‘FIT FOR PURPOSE’ and of a ‘SATISFACTUORY Quality’ knowing it had multiple issues (some being very dangerous). Completely unacceptable if you ask me.
