Dunton Bassett Cars is a no-nonsense used car business. Sold me a great little car at a good price. Gave me good advice on budget and model and as much time as I wanted to look over it (and other cars) and decide. They had plenty of choice and I test-drove the car independently. Just bought another car from Dunton Bassett Cars,Focus diesel estate.Had a couple of very minor faults that were immediately sorted and I feel they genuinely want you to go back and buy from them again....which I will, it tells me customer care is important to them.The first car I bought was for my wife, a cheap 1.6 focus hatch for general running around purpose,again good to deal with and pleased to say I've not had a single problem with it. Needless to say I'm big on Fords and Steve or Nick will tell you that they rate them highly in the secondhand market.Lets face it,doing the rounds looking at supposedly quality used private cars is a minefield and wastes a lot of time. Also a very good website and simple to navigate around. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anybody looking for a decent car at a fair price,no hard sales waffle just jump in and take it a ride and make your mind up,not for once did I feel I was being pressured into buying.Thanks lads. After travelling a long way to look at an Audi A3 with my brother, Steve was very welcoming and gave us a good opportunity to look over the car without pressuring us in any way. We were allowed to test drive the vehicle unaccompanied and without any hassle. The car has been faultless since purchasing it and I can't recommend this garage enough!

A week after I spent £2000 on a car the head gasket went and there seemed to be a hole in the exhaust. Dunton Bassett Cars took the car off me for a week without giving me a courtesy car, once I got it back within a week again the same fault had occurred. Both times they refused to give me any money back for the car when I said I wanted to return it. The car had 54k miles on it though it was probably more like 154k that had been rolled back. They refused to give receipts for anything.

I purchased a seat Alhambra 2009 For £7000 from Dunton Bassett cars on 13th February 2016 after I was reassured from the owner Wayne that I “would have no issues with this car” He then then followed up with the words that “you would never see me again”. These are the costs that I have incurred in making the car fit for purpose. 1. New Replacement Key fob £144 2. AC re-charge as no gas in the system £96 3. The AC needed completely replacing with a new compressor & condenser & reverse flush the system including front & rear evaporators £800 4. Replace suspension spring snapped £123 5. Refit, badly fitted front screen window cover to stop whistling noise £36 6. Tracking out £37 7. Replace oil & filter which wasn’t done, but I was assured would be done. £107 8. Repair chip on windscreen £30 9. Leaking Radiator, new Rad weld £10 Grand total £1383 The car was not as described & misrepresented it to me. I have telephoned, Dunton Bassett cars regarding each individual fault to then be either “fobbed off” or told that it isn’t covered by the warranty. I am currently starting civil court proceedings & going to notify Trading standards. If I could turn back the clock I would have avoided this company like the plague
