I bought a high spec car from Dunway Cars. Advert said stunning example and wont find any other in this condition, mileage and price. when I saw it in the flesh the body was covered in scratches and some sill covers missing so thought Ill give it a good wash/polish. When I road tested the car it drove nice and smooth on the motorway. When we returned to negotiate price they wouldn't budge on price at all. Once bought and came off the motorway to head home I could hear a knocking noise from the front and when I tried to put a CD in the CD player it wouldn't load or eject then noticed window wouldn't work at all either. After calling them back they said the workshop wasnt open at weekends and the knocking noise could of been caused by me, yet they gave it full MOT. That day took it to my MOT friend and he was shocked that the car hadn't failed MOT due to suspension being faulty, bulbs out, spring broken, yet on the MOT there wasn't even advisories. Called back after weekend and was told these faults must of been caused by my driving as our technicians are the best. The repair for this was gonna be £350 and they wouldnt even look at the car / refund / repair. After much stressful times of calling them and there awful attitude to customers once a car is bought. Eventually they paid out after threatening with trading standards and court action. Their service is great when looking but once bought they want nothing more to do with you. MY ADVICE IS DONT BUY FROM THEM, THE OWNER AND MOT TECHNICIANS WILL ONE DAY I STRONGLY BELIEVE WILL BE THE CAUSE OF AN ACCIDENT INVOLVING A CAR THEY HAVE SOLD PURELY BASED ON THE CAR THEY SOLD ME.

I bought a car from these guys and within a few days got back to them with a few faults that were covered by the warranty. They took the car in, "fixed" one fault, and said their mechanics couldn't find any other problems. Less than a month later, the car was still playing up so I took it to a reputable garage to get checked out. They couldn't believe that someone would knowingly sell a car with the problems they found, and it cost me over £700 to put them right and make the car safe. Stay away from Dunway Cars is my only advice. Their warranty isn't worth the paper it's written on, and any repairs they do will only be enough to see you through until the warranty runs out.

I purchased a second hand 2 litre vauxhall vectra from Dunway Cars in Cumbernauld, the salesman was nice enough to let us pay a deposit then return for the car a few weeks later when we had all the money. We took the car and within a day there was problems knocks and bangs the exhaust was tied on with a cable tie. He did offer to take the car back but we needed it due to my boyfriends work commitments. We decide to try and arrange another car whilst we could take it down to him a week later i phoned him and he was EXTREMELY rude, very aggressive, swearing and shouting down the phone telling me he didnt care if the car was under warranty he wouldnt take it back. I told him i would go to trading standards but again got a mouthful of abuse. Due to my boyfriends job we had to sell the car straight away and purchase another. To find that the person who then went on to purchase the car phoned and had the same problems and abuse from him. The car needed well over a 100 pounds worth of work done, it was a fake mot and he did not care. Disgusting person and i had seen a bad review before and wish i had listened !!
