Saw a car on their website so called in to view, car was just what I was looking for so was ready to buy it there and then. But the salesman was dreadful, typical old school, unprofessional, uninterested, blase, I felt really uncomfortable in the office as only one salesman wearing a mask, the others had them around their chins and the salesman I dealt with wore his under his nose. So no cash sale form me as I couldn;t wait to get out of there.

Having recently purchased a car from Evans Halshaw, we were offered £300 for our old car (web page quoted a lot more) we reluctantly agreed. Unfortunately when we went to pick up new car my husband didn’t have all the correct paperwork. He returned 10 days (due to them being short staffed etc) to be told that our car was now only worth £200. We have no problem with the salesman who was fine. Can’t help feeling this is a regular occurrence with this company. My husband made sure he wore a mask, no one in the dealership appeared to be wearing masks!
Booked to see a car travelled all the way to cardiff for them to tell me battery was flat abd they had moved it didn’t rven bother to contact me all day to let me know complete waste of time!!!!!

If I could give minus stars I would. Don't get me wrong, Richard Holyfield the Motability specialist is fantastic. However the after sales and servicing department are absolutely atrocious. It's like once you've bought the car they just don't care. It is very hard to get through and once you do the person you need to speak to is ALWAYS on the other line. You're promised a callback but they NEVER materialise. You call back (2 hours later) and guess what? THEY'RE BUSY AGAIN AND WILL CALL BACK.
Engine failure on ford ecoboost due to a known fault with these cars has left me without a car for two months. No courtesy car. No customer service. Never get a call back to speak to a manager at Evans Halshaw Ford in Cardiff. Overall terrible car and terrible company. Will never buy a ford again.
We have now had to involve the financial obunsman, we sent a complaint to Evans Halshaw Ford in Cardiff on the 04/10/19 and still no reply, they made an offer on our vehicle signed the documents and paid the difference, then they called 3 weeks for more money after they had our vehicle. Dont exchange car with them, I cant wait until this goes to court, we even had to prove we paid vat on the vehicle, they are cowboys and cant wait as got everything in black and white. I bet they call now as reviews are being put up and didn't have to come to this if they called and gave us our 800.00
I believe Evans Halshaw Ford in Cardiff committed crime in a car they took in on part ex didn't do relevant paperwork and deny all knowledge. Do not deal with evens halshaw
Took my car here for a recall as requested by Vauxhall. Where to start...... well they snapped the clips on my new stereo fascia which they denied at first then apologised and offered to replace. Then after they had rewired my car, the stereo no longer worked hands free, they cut the rear speaker wires, why i don’t know. And I started smelling plastic burning in my car, checks the engine, only to find they left the fusebox cover off and in the front of the engine and its melted to it. They have denied accessing the engine during the recall, however they would have had to disconnect the battery for any electrical work. I am taking it further with Evans Halshaw Ford in Cardiff.

Can I ask why would a ford dealer be doing a recall on a Vauxhall. You would need to go to Vauxhall to have this carried out as they would then need to claim to the warranty company that the recall had be carried out!
Evans Halshaw Ford Cardiff is an absolutely shocking company they will sell you a category s car after giving you a hpi check to prove that it's not then spend 2 months trying to sort out issue for them to try and sell me back the car without telling me that repair work needed to be done to it first after which I opted for a refund to not receive said refund leaving me with no car and no money to pay for new car no courtesy car and having to walk 1.5 hours to work all the good reviews on here seem to be reviews of the salesmen and showroom which wasn't a bad experience the problems with the company become glaringly obvious the moment you have a problem and have to deal with the customer services to sum up I am an engineer who can follow detailed work plans to install systems into multi million pound organisations but apparently cant follow a simple refund procedure and I'm completely to blame!
Took a car into evans halshaw ford in carfiff 4 an mot which i had 4 sale they motd it. Without checking brakes steering. Etc shocking should be reported to vosa
