I bought a 65 plate Seat Ibiza. Saleswoman couldn't wait to take my money off me - took another week to prep the car for me to collect but it looked nice. 3 weeks in and the car has an overheating problem - luckily its in warranty. Over a week later the issue still isn't resolved and I am having to chase to find out what is happening. When I asked about a courtesy car I got fed the bullshit line 'I have just given my last courtesy car out'. My life is on hold because Evans Halshaw sold me a lemon, can't fix it and are now just fobbing me off! Joke of a company! Avoid at all costs!

My son purchased a 66 plate vehicle from them at the end of January 2020, once he signed on the dotted line it went downhill from there, couldn’t decide when the car was going to be ready etc and then when he finally received the car, within 6 weeks, the gear box and clutch failed. They claimed it was not their problem but after pushing (surely cars are serviced prior to collection?) the agreed they would fix it, so the car went off to show perch as they are a Hyundai dealership to be fixed. He was given a courtesy car and then lockdown happened (I know they can’t be held accountable for this!) so for 3 months his car was stuck in a garage. Once everything was up and running and his car was fixed evans halshaw gave my son a free service by way of an apology and admitted that the young man who sold him the car hadn’t done well in the selling (maybe some of the more mature and established salesmen should’ve stepped in when it became clear this young man didn’t really know what he was doing instead of sitting in huddles drinking coffee and chatting!) my son purchased a service plan also that would cover mot and service costs for 2 years. He had rang to book his mot and is now being told that there is no record of this in his file. We have the documentation to prove this, but the hassle and stress this car is creating from poor sales and aftercare is shocking. It’s been a shambles from start to finish and I certainly would not recommend this showroom to anyone

just now I would give no stars if I could. Not trustworthy at all. Be aware! My daughter brought her car in for diagnostics as the reversing sensors kept on beeping. We came to pick up the car for her and were presented with a list of nearly £2700 worth of apparently urgent repairs. We went straight to another garage to get a second opion and exactly what we thought, most of the urgent repairs were a lie! Apparently all 4 suspensions were broken at the same time. The car had service and MOT end of July. The second garage put the car up the ramp and showed us that nothing was wrong. In the end 3 things of the long list are needing to be fixed which 2 are tyres with a puncture and one is a water leak. Less than £400 now. We paid £89 for their fauls diagnostic. Absolutely disgusted with Evan's Halshaw and will take this further with all the evidence. Avoid at all cost!

My partner and I went in today for me to buy a Aircross C3 Flair. We went in put on our masks, sanitised our hands and stood where it said we had to wait. Well we stood and stood with the chap nearest the door sat at a desk just ignoring us, the chap on the next desk up never lifted his head, then a chap came from the service desk area and tried so hard not to look at us followed by a woman again averting her eyes from us. All four then stood chatting to each other around the first guys desk. I loudly said if no one wants to sell me a car I will go elsewhere, which we did, The last car I bought was a Citroen but again the customer service was so bad that I didn't buy it from here. I should have learned my lesson the first time. I will never go back.

Ritchie and Dave at Evans Halshaw Ford in Darlington were incredibly personable when I contacted them to have a bumper fixed. It was the complete opposite of dealing with aggressive salesmen elsewhere. The final job was excellent

I had to ring Evans halshaw customer service head office who were absolutely disgusted at the way we were treated and told lies to they sorted it within a matter of hours however when we took the car back for a the service we were assured had been done we were treat like piria 's would not set foot in the place again and will not return for servicing after all when you spend over 19000 pounds you expect a better service !!!!! surely or is that asking to much a simple apology would do.

After buying the focus realising the recall had not been done I tried to book the car into Evans Halshaw Ford Darlington but only to be told it could,not be on a weekend and as we work away we were told it was tough luck the sales staff ( Jake) are great but service staff need a good shake up needless to say Jennings Ford will be getting all of our service business for our cars come on halshaw do something pls.
