Purchased a new Ford from them in Oct 2016, car has now broken down well within warranty period, I accept that these things happen but Evans Halshaw are quoting a 10 day lead time before they can even look at the car and saying they could only look at it sooner if they had previously repaired the same fault and they have no courtesy car available! Furthermore the staff who answer the service phone line have no technical knowledge and were even unable to answer a simple query about service pricing and didn't call back with an answer as promised. When I called the dealership to complain I was passed on to their customer care line and after 30 minutes of waiting gave up. I filed a complaint on their customer care website to which the site they would respond within 24 hours and guess what, no response at all.
I bought a Citroen from Leicester Evans halshaw and received appalling customer service.it took me 5 hours to purchase it whilst staff sat around.i was told all the staff were new! Wouldn't recommend.
I paid Evans Halshaw Ford in Leicester 200 pounds for a car to be moved nearer to me .13 days later still no car . Asked for my deposit back and was told that I need to contact them again as they are busy , and can’t guarantee that any one will call me back. I wanted to purchase a car from them and they have been obstructive. I am hoping that they will refund my deposit .
If I could award Evans Halshaw Ford Leicester no stars, then I would. The process of buying a car was the worst I have experienced in my life. My son was looking for a Ford Fiesta in a specific colour and with an automatic transmission, and this place was the only dealer that had one within a 70 mile radius of where we live. We booked a test drive online and nobody knew anything about it. On the day of the test drive it took half an hour just to find the car, which was filthy inside and out, so very difficult to determine its overall condition. Despite this my son was smitten with it and we agreed to buy it. We turned up a week later to collect the car and found that nobody had bothered to check that the MOT had expired, and because of this schoolboy error that no dealership should ever make (checklist, anyone?), it meant that the car couldn't be taxed and we couldn't drive it away, even though my son had to pay for it! If it had been me buying the car, I would have walked away there and then. We had a completely wasted journey and my son was deeply disappointed as he wanted to drive the car over the Bank Holiday. Four days later we had the car delivered to our home, although the delivery driver was 6 hours late and the car had not been valeted as the salesman had promised it would be. The delivery mileage was more than double what it should have been, which left me wondering where else it had been during its journey. I would not recommend this dealership to anyone thinking of buying a new or used car, and reading reviews from other customers, it seems that staff just don't care about their customers. Better to look elsewhere.
I dont even feel that Evans Halshaw Ford Leciester deserve one star!! Had nothing but problems throughout the whole process of buying my new car. I drove 5 hours to pick up the new car to then come away without it as they hadn't sorted the paperwork even though they were expecting me. When I finally had the car it was dirty! They held my deposit and told me they had no record of this but luckily I had record. They didn't pay off the finance on my old car which I part exchanged meaning I was paying for 2 cars. It took me 6 weeks, numerous amount of phone calls and being in contact with a solicitor to get the finance paid and my deposit back. Being left short of money caused me alot of stress and no one seemed to show any care at all. Communication and customer service is very poor, no organisation at all. Almost 7 weeks later and I still haven't received a V5C for my new vehicle and still to this day DVLA haven't received anything from them so there is nothing in the system. I've tried emailing complaints who couldn't be any less interested in trying to help me. I will never buy another car from Evans halshaw and want to make others aware of their awful service
We visited the Leicester site and sold our car. The service that we received from Chloe T was outstanding.
Having experienced several large car dealerships including Evans Halshaw in Coventry I was very sceptical about this one but they had online several SUVs which fitted my needs and budget. The salesman Henry Jervis was amazing - firstly I was warmly greeted and he introduced himself properly to me, welcomed me to his desk where he asked me what I was looking for, fully understood my requirements and respected my budget, showed me around a number of cars and explained key differences between each. He clearly knew his stuff and I had every confidence in his advice. I chose a Vauxhall Mokka and he worked hard with his manager Miles Hambelet to get the best trade-in value for my old car. Between placing the order then and collecting my new vehicle, Henry has kept me fully updated and treated me courteously and professionally. I collected the Mokka yesterday and again was warmly welcomed and remembered by both Henry and Miles - the new car is like the outstanding service I have received from Evans Halshaw Leicester - fantastic people and I would unreservedly recommend that this is the best place to buy a car. Thank you very much Henry, Miles and Evans Halshaw.
Terrible customer service system, cannot get through to them and they sold me a car with a faulty engine, luckily ford are covering the engine but they have not provided me a car for over 2 weeks which has cost me extra in childcare and left me stranded, now they are charging me stupid amounts for spark plugs, gear oil change and front wheel alignment none of which should be needed as it was serviced in April when I bought it, do not buy from these dealers I sure as hell wish I had read the reviews before buying here, very dissapointed
I would avoid these cowboys at all cost in the future. Rudeness, false excuses and lying is their usual way of conducting with customers. Despite writing a formal complaint to customer services their deceit continues. Two trips to their service store in coventry (they had my car for 5 days in total), still issues not sorted. Surprising how they are still in business. My advise - go elsewhere, there are plenty of used car dealers and service shops that are way better. If dealing with them keep record of names and written records as you would be shocked as how they lie. Should be ashamed of themselves.
Really appalling customer service at the Leicester branch. After being asked 4(!!!) times whether I wanted to buy various cover policies as extras, I was then patronised and asked if I was sure that I knew what I was doing. The car was sent out with missing paperwork- despite me specifically stating beforehand that this needed to be resolved before delivery. The delivery driver then expected me to sort out his return trip to Leicester either by driving him to the nearest train station (during my working day- a 1-1.5 hour round trip) or finding and booking a taxi on his behalf. When I complained to the branch, I was told that "it was all fine" and that I was "making a big deal out of it". A really unpleasant, patronising, poorly organised experience. I would strongly recommend buying elsewhere.
