Long story short i bought a Focus from them and car turned up nothing like it was advertised, no mats and parcel shelve was broke along with the alloys paint they tried chucking on to cover it up....claimed my car had full service history yet was serviced only one in 5 years, promised the car would be checked over and serviced up to their level yet car turned up with below minimum for everything...luckily i checked or else i would of took their word and drove around with no oil or coolant! took 3 months to get my warranty pack and almost 4 months to get my V5.....the cars gearbox also packed up 19 days into ownership that took them 23 days to fix, they had me book my car in at a local Ford garage just for it to sit there for 4 days in a car park as Evans decided to scrap the garage and do the repair themselves and sent a delivery guy to drive my car 130 miles back to them.....yet thats right they sent someone to drive a car back 130 miles with a gearbox that skips gears and stalls at low speed (automatic) After 5 months the car is fixed and i like the car or else it would be parked back on their forecourt, i would avoid using them or if you do check the car bit by bit as they skip corners! warranty pack is also another way they try to skip out on like they "fixed" my gearbox turns out they just chucked another gearbox part on my car that was from Ebay or a breakers yard.

Another car dealer that once they have your money the customer service goes out the window. Service book not with the car when I purchased it, spoke to sales man who said he would arrange it to be ready for when I went in, not ready. Emailed him a few weeks later with a query on another car, email ignored. Emailed again to say thanks for lack of response and to send service book by post, called to say he would help regarding the other car but too late by this point as purchased from other dealership, no service book sent. Emailed again and emailed ignore. Purchased car start of March and still no service book in May. Emailed dealer principal and got a response to say he will look into it and get back to me within a few days to let me know what's happening, no apology in the email. later that day I recieved a phone call buy no message left so no idea who it was that called. received the service book the next day, no apology letter or note just the service book. Tuesday came and went and on Friday morning I sent the DP another email to express my dissatisfaction at no apology from him or the sales rep. Recived a call in the morning and a message from the DP saying he will try and call me by COB. 4 days later and I haven't received another call. This is the second issue I've had with this dealership, first issue I had was a sales rep refusing to allow me to have a 48hr test drive and trying to get me in to sell me a car saying there isnt any cars available for the 48hr test drive but if you come in I can take you out for a quick test drive. Service from this Arnold Clark Fordstore branch in Motherwell is shocking and wont use again.
I put a deposit down on a car at Evans Halshaw Fordstore in Motherwell to reserve it. When I arrived the car was not ready, the salesman was very pushy but did not seem to have much authority to make a deal, always having to check with his boss. So I decided to leave the car and look elsewhere. However, despite numerous phone calls, on each of which I was assured the refund would be processed in the week, I still don’t have a refund 2 months later. I wouldn’t go near this garage again or recommend it to anyone.
stay clear of evan halshaw fordstore in motherwell.
Please avoid dealing with Evans Halshaw FordStore Motherwell if you possibly can. They are atypical wide boys and reflect all the bad facets of the second car industry. I took the car that I was planning to purchase, out for a test drive and pointed out that there was a rattle coming from the rear near-side .The salesman assured me that this was the trade plates knocking against the boot. On collecting the vehicle and driving away the noise was still there. I immediately took it to a local garage that my company uses who identified a severely worn shock absorber bracket which they recommended be repaired prior to driving. I inspected this on the ramp and confirmed the issue. Taking this up with Evans Halshaw it was the usual 'sorry mate can't help you'. There were several other issues along with this major point that were handled very unprofessionally. Be on your guard if you deal with these 'people'.

Used car sales Manager Jamie and service dept staff have a excellent mannar and nothing is a problem for them excellent serve again at evans halshaw fordstore in motherwell. Steve hynds.
I recently bought a one year old Ford Mondeo from Evans Halshaw in Motherwell and brought it back to Ireland. Within a week or two I discovered the following list of faults: 1. According to the Ford data system there is no P.D.I or service record for this vehicle. 2. Every time I switched on the engine I was instructed to “change the oil ASAP”. 3. The oil was burned pitch black. 4. The brake-fluid was well below minimum. 5. The blower/fan only works on the passenger side. 6. A software update was due before the car was sold but was not done. 7. The trip counter is inaccurate by about 30% so I assume mileage, fuel consumption etc is also. 8. The windscreen washer bottle was empty and left open. 9. The tyre pressure was well below safe driving level. 10. The front drivers side tyre was chipped and quite dangerous and should not have been allowed on the road. These are the faults that I can see, there may be lots more. I had most of them fixed except the fan/blower and the trip counter, which I don’t want anybody to mess with. So far it has cost me €336. I contacted Evans Halshaw several times. They eventually put me in touch with a Mr Adaire. I emailed him a few times, no reply. I eventually informed him that if he didn’t reply I would assume he wasn’t interested, still no reply so I assume he is not interested. If this had not happened to me I would never have believed that such people are involved in the Motor Trade. Needless to say I wish I had never dealt with them.

Short review: Terrible, have a look at the reviews for car dealerships in Motherwell. There's a good reason why Evans Halshaw FordStore Motherwell are among the lowest rated. Long review: My first visit went well enough, I phoned ahead and the they had the car ready to go for a test drive when I arrived. I ended up not purchasing the car at the time but when I was phoned and offered money off the car the following day I decided to go ahead. The agreed upon, on the road, price included 1 year of road tax. The dealer also agreed to touch up a scratch mark on the rear of the car. When I arrived the car was sitting out front and freshly washed, great. I then checked the rear of the car to find that the scratch mark hadn't been touched up. The salesman apologised and said they would get it sorted which is fair enough. On the way to picking up the car I checked the DVLA website for the tax and MOT status. It has been taxed for 6 months rather than a year and it is less than 6 months until the next MOT (Evans Halshaw advertise a minimum of 6 months on all used cars). When I speak to the salesman regarding the MOT he says it may take a few days to update on the DVLA website (2 weeks later and it still hasn't). I then ask about the tax, to then be told the salesman I originally dealt with on my first visit has left the company and left no record of our agreement for 12 months tax. The salesman gets his manager who refuses to honour my original agreement and so I ask for my deposit back. After asking for my deposit multiple times the manager eventually goes back to his office and sends out another manager to issue the refund. This managers attitude was nothing short of appalling and I've never before dealt with someone so unprofessional. There were only 3 things needing done to facilitate this sale; 1 year of tax, fix a minor scratch on the rear and ensure it has at least 6 months until the next MOT. They didn't manage to get a single one of these correct. Evans Halshaw/the owner, need to take a good look at who they are employing here. To sum up; completely incompetent and completely unprofessional. Avoid at all cost.

if im totally honest Evans Halshaw Ford in Motherwell seems like an utter shambles, Bought a vauxhall astra from this branch almost a month ago, they have had it longer than me due to how many times they have tried to fix it, although every time they fix a problem, another one pops up. to start with, when i bought the car, they phoned me on the day I was supposed to pick it up and told me that they couldn't fix the car pulling to the left, so they would need to keep it longer. i needed the car to get to work so i took it and decided to take it back to the branch at a later date to get the problem fixed. The first issue (which i found to be totally stupid) arose when i noticed they gave me a car with broken window wipers, which tells me that the hasn't even been looked at before they've even gave me it, so I drove around for a week only being able to clear half of my window! I took the car back in after waiting a week to get a courtesy car. I got the car back almost a week later, it was still pulling to the left, however not as bad as before. Bare in mind that this was the second time they tried to repair the car. I noticed another problem when I got the car back on the front bumper, looks as if whilst they've been polishing the car, they've touched the plastic with the machine polisher and scraped it. I would also question there polishing skills, as the car is still covered in swirel marks! the car went in for the third time to fix the tracking issue and the front bumper. I went to pick the car up on Friday the 31st of august and the bumper hadn't been fixed. So on the FOURTH attempt, the tracking was a fault with the actual model itself, as they naturally pull to the left, and they STILL haven't fixed my front bumper, it looks the same as before, totally unacceptable! I honestly thought at the very start that this branch seemed to be pretty good, I have had problems with evans halshaw before at the ford edinburgh branch, however I gave them the benefit of the doubt this time. the way this whole situation has been handled is so unprofessional. everything looks like a patch up job, a quick fix, clearly there are no checks done before you get the vehicle, otherwise the problem with the window wiper would have been spotted before. Not everything was bad. Jamie, the salesman who dealt with my transaction was great, but everything else around has just been a complete shambles. Now I am left with a car that pulls to the left, and a front bumper which will definitely go against me when I try to sell the car back as a part exchange. 2 stars, and thats only because Jamie was decent to deal with
