Had a used car transferred from another area. went down to pay for the car, Dealer was ok but i did not trust him. Avoiding all the usual extras BS they throw at you i was still landed with a Vehicle Admin fee of £82 + even had fees to use the credit card to pay for the car, An additional near on £100!. now its booked in for reverse sensors & guess what they want to give it a free health check which you know is going to result in unnecessary work. These people just never give it a rest. I cant wait to get these sensors fitted & walk away from Evans Halshaw & never return.

Went in to purchase a car as mine had broken down. The car was not perfect, and had marks and a few scratches, but it wasn't a new car and they explained how evans halshaw will spend their time and money on getting the car up to their standard mechanically rather than cosmetically, so I can be sure the car is running 100%. Richard asked his manager if we could buy the 2 year warranty rather than the usual 1 year one they offer on the runabouts, and this was fine, we also had the paint work protection which we really thinks helps us keep the car looking clean. I would highly recommend evans halshaw (ask for Richard!)

Dealer didn't return any phone calls. Reception lady was rude and had no knowledge of any vehicle

This Evans Halshaw branch in Walsall dont return calls. Wouldnt give a monkeys about wasting yours (maybe your kids and babysitters) time. Gutted - car was treble filthy :-( another day wasted!

We bought a second hand Mini Cooper S from this Dealership recently, and if we could have got the right spec of car elsewhere, we certainly would have done! On arrival, we firstly had to wait while the car was extracted from the car park, and brought around to the front. It had not been prepared at all, which I would have expected, bearing in mind it had been in stock for a couple of weeks. We took it for a (brief) test drive in a built-up area, and it seemed ok. Having agreed that we would buy the car, we informed the Salesman that we already had finance arranged, but was told that their policy was to only deal with finance arranged by themselves, and payment from any other finance company was unacceptable. Coupled with their 'Admin Fee' added on to the cost of the car, they seem to take every opportunity to grab money, and were trying hard to push extended warranties, paint protection etc. This was eventually sorted out, despite the fact that phone calls were not returned by the Dealer. The car had new tyres fitted by the Dealer, and had allegedly had a full service and check over....... When we arrived home after collecting the car, a distance of around 80 miles, my wife mentioned that the engine seemed to be 'revving a lot, so I took the car out, and found that the clutch was slipping (badly, and getting worse). The Dealer was contacted, and did agree to replacing the clutch, but this entailed their driver having to collect and return the vehicle, which took well over a week. (Quite how a slipping clutch could have got past their eagle-eyed mechanics I'm not entirely sure) A couple of weeks later, we checked tyre pressures, and found them all to be very low. On inspection, we found that when the tyres were rreplaced, the old valves were kept, and were all leaking (no surprises there) So, all in all, the Walsall Branch of Evand Halshaw would appear to be inept, inefficient, and totally devoid of any mechanical knowledge. Apart from that, I haven't got a bad word to say about them!
