I was very disappointed with the customer service I received from the used car department. I made a 7-hour round trip to test drive a car that I was initially interested in buying. I put down a £700 deposit, but changed my mind within three days. I let the Shaun Belt know of my decision, but it has been four months since then and I have not yet received my deposit back. The dealership has tried to take £300 off of my deposit, despite the fact that I did not purchase the car and let them know of my decision within three days. I understand that they may have incurred some administrative costs, but I do not believe that it is fair to keep £300 of my deposit. I have called the dealership many times over the past four months, and have been promised that management would call me and send me a breakdown of the administrative costs. However, I have not received anything from the dealership other than empty promises. I am very disappointed with the customer service I have received from the used car department. The staff have been unhelpful and unresponsive to my concerns. I would not recommend buying a car from this dealership

A nightmare from the start, avoid at all costs. I purchased a DS7 in June 2022 via a distant purchase on the understanding that my car would be delivered by the end of that week. After several calls on the Friday of that week to try and get an estimated time i was informed that it wouldn't be until the Monday, the car actually arrived the following Thursday, a day after i was supposed to be on holiday. Leaving me without a car for a whole week and losing a day of holiday. When the car arrived, it was scratched, there was paint on the rear seats, tracking was off and there was water in the rear lights. None of which were highlighted to me before i brought the car. As i was supposed to be on holiday i took the car on the understanding that they will be rectified by Evans Halshaw DS York and was offered a refund for the delivery charge. After weeks and weeks of calls and emails to chase these things i finally got the £99 delivery charge refund 2 months later. I had to fix the scratches and clean the paint from the car at my expense. The water in the light issue however i needed Evans Halshaw to fix as i refused to pay the cost of that. It is now 6 months later, and after constant chasing to DS York and being passed from pillar to post they still have not been repaired.
