I had an interesting experience .I… I had an interesting experience .I called FOW on Monday to reserve a car I ve seen on internet . After I called them 3 times that day , someone called back to collect 100£ To reserve the car . I told them I would like to book an appointment to take a drive test , they said I can t do that because of the pandemic. But I can come and see the car . I told them I can t drive one hour and half to see the car for 10 minutes and come back home again. I will take it like that and if It s got any problems I will return the car in 14 days . The person from sales told me that the car was brought back after 3 days by someone who wasn t happy about the fact that the car don t have sat nav . I started to get suspicious , but I said maybe he didn t realize the car wasn t equiped with sat nav . The person from sales , told me will send me an invoice by email for the 100£ . I waited , nothing happend .. after 2 days My finance company told me that the next day the money will be payed in the fow s account and I can call them to arrange the collection of the car . I called Fow and told them that they will have the money next morning in their account , if I can come and collect the car . The person from customer service told me that I can collect the car after 17-18 days , because the car needs to have safety checks and to pe prepped for taking over . The person from customer service also told me that someone from sales supposed to inform me about the fact that the car is gonna be ready in 2-3 weeks after I will pay for it . I got nervous and told her that nobody inform me about this , and the next day fow will have the money for the car , and I can t collect the car . After 30 min I was called by someone from sales dep and explained me that these are their procedures , the cars needs to be prepped before taking over by the buyer . I told the person from sales that nobody informed me about this issue , because if they would have told me before I would just go to a different place and buy a car . I asked the person from sales to cancel the payment from my finance company , and to send the money back . Not even at this point I didn t receive an e mail with the invoice for the 100£ reservation fee . I called the finance company and they managed to cancel the payment so everything ended ok . I m writing this review , so the people who wants to buy a car from Fow to know what to expect from that company. I also called 5 different friends and finace company to ask them if they ever had a situation like this when you pay for a car , but you collect the car after 2-3 weeks because it needs to be prepped , and they all said that they never heard about a practice like that ...

Took a week to get the car all together. I was pressured into buying GAP insurance. I wasn't kept updated on coming to collect the car. When I finally was allowed to get it, the car had no fuel in and I also had to sit in the car and tax it (I was not told this) then to find driving home the brakes squealing very loudly. overall experience tiring, stressful and disappointing.

Bad communication - calls not returned when promised. Rude staff - sales representatives with poor interpersonal skills. Pushy sales techniques - multiple attempts to push finance and warranties. Poor attention to detail - incorrect spelling of name on the registration document. Parting shot - "There's plenty of fuel in the tank", there wasn't! Never again will I deal with Fords of Winsford.
I cannot praise Fords of Winsford dealership enough. I visited the garage on the 1st May. Best sales people that I have ever come across, EVER. Prompt responses to my emails re: questions. They passed on my questions to relevant people, very knowledgeable, attentive, polite and mindful of needs. The car was in immaculate condition.. No quibbling re: part ex. I was offered a great deal. I felt like I was dealing with my very honest family and friends.
Never bought from a car supermarket before, so a bit wary but travelled some way to buy something that wasn't their usual fare. Car very well presented, full service history and had evidently had everything serviced by them in accordance with mileage including the cambelt (how many dealers bother to do that when selling on?) Car was spotlessly clean. Low pressure sales to the extent of seriously laid back! Knowledge of our particular car was a bit sketchy but forgave them on the basis that they didn't sell many of that model - and it was more than compensated for by the friendliness and willingness from everyone we encountered (dour southerners and miserable Londoners in my neck of the woods take note). Where I think they set themselves apart given my experiences with main dealers over many years, and always the acid test in my book, was their approach went things unfortunately and unexpectedly later went wrong on a low mileage car. Without quibble they paid for a main dealer hundreds of miles away to rectify the issues and undoubtedly picked up a large tab for doing so. Very impressed - they stuck to their word and sorted things out which is so rare these days. Car now zipping around happily; would unreservedly recommend buying a second-hand car from Fords of Winsford given our experience.

FOW is a pretty good dealership! I bought my car from them a few months back. I have had a few issues with the car and there was some serious lack of communication between the dealers about issues with the car but the overall service was good and the car is good value for money. I would recommend.

When we came to sell our Vauxhall zafira we were very impressed with the reception and service we received at Fords of Winsford and the valuation was higher than any other dealership. We highly recommend them for buying and selling a vehicle. After the poor service we had experienced Evans Halshaw at Altrincham who were very poor leaving customers hanging about waiting, we were there for over an hour and a half before the valuer came to us.
I honestly can't fault Fords of Winsford at all, the salesman was a credit to the industry and I would buy another car from them without a single doubt in my mind, top marks.
