If like me as a result of disillusionment you haven’t bought from a car dealer for many years, your faith can be restored by trying Gouldings in Lincoln. As many other reviewers have said there really is no pressure and no sense of needing to rush a decision, which we made over a period of several days and two visits. We had several conversations with Adam and John, and a solo test drive for several miles before making the decision. The negotiations were straightforward, and the trade in offer not far off what I expected. After sales service is as good as pre-sale. Some minor problems which arose were dealt with in a timely and satisfactory manner, on a date of my choosing. This would certainly be my first stop next time I contemplate a change of car. I would like to begin this review by thanking Adam at Gouldings Car Sales, Matilda Road for making my new car purchase such a pleasant experience. I purchased a Jaguar XJ Sovereign and never felt under any pressure at all to buy in fact I was encouraged to test the car myself. I went along with my wife and both Adam and John treated her with respct and never talked down to the "little woman" as many car sales persons do. At the age of 69 as you can imagine I have bought many cars over the years but I have to say that this was the most pieasurable experience I have ever had buying a car. Bought a skoda superb 4x4 from Gouldings Car Sales in Lincoln. Unfortunately when the snow fell I found out the 4wd didnt work. Also found out the fully comprehensive parts and labor warranty john had assured me I was getting with the vehicle as a distant buyer was only worth £250. John the proprietor Wouldn’t agree to allow me to get the repair carried out locally and wanted me to bring the car 220 miles back to the dealership. Not a reputable garage, Very dodgy car dealership buyer beware. Refused to issue a refund under the consumer act 2015. The case is ongoing.
