Bought a car cash 20th January if only I had paid with a credit card I wouldn't have been left with the useless piece of that was sold to me couldn't even pay someone to take that off my hands or if only I had read reviews from the get go I wouldn't have went near the place and would have got my car from a more local reputable car garage. Car broke down not even 3 weeks of owning it and oh surprise surprise all blame was put on me had to pay £250 to have the head gasket skimmed, new timing chain, new sump cause "apparently" I broke that too and oh they tried to charge me recovery from Ayrshire I think not! Fast forward another few weeks and same again this time I took it to a local garage and got them to give it a thorough check over as all trust was lost with GuildAuto it was discovered that the head gasket hadn't even been touched as the screws that hold it in place were still covered in rust/dirt, the timing chain was changed but they never done it correctly it was 2 links out and the timing gasket wasn't changed which should of been changed at time of changing the timing chain, pipes that should have been changed the first time round hadn't been touched either and were still clogged, other parts that had been removed from the first "repair" hadn't been screwed in correctly or even screwed in at all and I have been told the engine doesn't have long left and could go at anytime but after getting a reputable mechanic to finally fix it correctly this time it's running for now. Give this Sherri his dues atleast he paid for some things so there's 1 star for that; but not it all when he should have and my car certainly wasn't repaired correctly the first time round. I should also not have been blamed first time round for the car breaking down as alarm bells rang after being told coolant can only handle -10° by Sherri yes if it's been over diluted now apparently it was serviced before it left GuildAuto in January but this one wasn't marked in book I wonder why but let me tell you this the last service in the book was Sept last year and would you believe it the coolant was tested to handle temps as low as -24° well there's a surprise. My car as well as others were advertised as coming with an AA warranty however there was no paperwork with my car regarding this and then he tells me no AA is a paid warranty well if your advertising this then why was I not informed of this at the time? His last email reply to me was started with "Listen... I had enough of you" what great customer service that is!!! I would also like to add I am heavily pregnant was sold a car unfit for purpose regardless of age of car or not this is not acceptable. I was also recently sent a "lawyer's" letter for leaving a review well there is such a thing as freedom of speech and I will not be singled out as I am not the only one who has left reviews like this and scaremongering me shame on you like I said I am a heavily pregnant woman your attitude towards me and the stress you have caused me is appalling to say the least I will never be near this place again or be recommending it.

Excellent service received from Guildauto. Garage recommended by friend of mine every step was flowless car was ready on time 4 Month on the sale no problem at all they even phone as a courtesy if I am happy with car.. Thanks Again

In true fashion and to quote, “clowns to the left of me, jokers to the right”. Literally like trying to teach an infancy to change a tyre. You would be better trying to build a car from scratch than buy one from these ‘businessmen’. Bought a BMW which witching 4 months ground to a halt like an old stale relationship. You would have a better experience keeping your money, shitting in your hands da and clapping over and over.

Cars are absolute death traps and watch out for any " MOT" by the garage in the same industrial estate dodgy as they come ! Go To A proper car dealer , Guildauto scrap dealers is a better name for them ! Keep yourself and family safe , dont buy a car from here !

Having now bought two cars from GuildAutos I can only pass onto any prospective car buyer my experiences with this establishment. My first car a Nissan note , nice clean car with a few minor cosmetic Mark's considering it's a used 8yr old car . The price for same age car on other dealers prices were at least £500 more expensive. Had only one minor issue with a faulty heater switch which was repaired promptly with the mechanic picking up the car at my home and returning it to me Full Mark's for customer service. My second car a 60 plate Renault megane. A well presented car for its age I had no issues with the purchasing although I did buy it cash and didn't have a trade in or any finance to deal with. Same age car from other dealers would have cost me around £1000 more. Well happy with this garage and it will be my first port of call when I am looking for my next car. After reading some of the more negative reviews of this garage and its operators I do have a bit of advice for potential car buyers in general. Buying a car is a serious business before you step into a car lot and browse around like you were in a supermarket looking at a tin of beans. DO YOUR HOMEWORK on the car your interested in buying. I did, and I bought two good cars . It's easy to look up and find a cars mot history and it will only cost a few pounds on-line. After all your going to be spending a lot of money then surely it merits putting in the effort. Before I bought those cars what I did was a internet search to find any common faults with the models. YouTube is full of all the information you could ever possibly want to help you make your mind up
