Went to see Guildautos about finance for BMW X3 was looking on guild auto own website quote was £73,but when got site was told couldn’t get finance at that price and it was going to cost £187 .what a con.STAY CLEAR

The reason GuildAutos cars are cheaper than elsewhere is because they’re awful and you will have problems. Please stay away from this dealer. I bought my car with a service and although the service book had been ticked and stamped by GuildAutos I now know for a fact it had actually never been done, every filter that came off of the car hadn’t been charged for years, the oil filter looked like a lump of coal and the oil was filthy, I wouldn’t have minded so much if they had just been honest but they’re still denying it, complete liars and totally untrustworthy. In the end because of a lack of proper servicing I’ve had to fork out £2000 to get it fixed
Totally messed around by GuildAutos in Bathgate, said they would give my car an mot before I bought it and they didn’t, the temperature gadge keeps going onto red so we took it to our local garage and he called us back saying the car is a total right off, and that we’ve been robbed, I do not recommend them!

I hope you realise that as a licensed auto trader he is responsible for repairs, or to help with costs for the first 6 months after purchase. Check if your motor insurance covers you. I’m insured with the AA the motor legal protection covers court action. Also contact the motor traders association Scotland and inform trading standards, if you haven’t already.
we bought a used Land Rover Freelander from GuildAutos. Was perfectly clean inside. I asked to have a private assessment of the vehicle (clickMechanic....also excellent). the guys at Guild Auto allowed the mechanic to use their lift to allow viewing under the car. On the test drive, I noted that the back brakes were rubbing and the hand brake ineffective. The private mechanic noted that the brake pad and callipers needed replaced, Guild Auto replaced them. Also noted was that the back tyres were almost worn, but still legal. Guild autos replaced the four tyres. We live in Ayr, Guild Autos offered to deliver the car to us (for a small fee). So I am confident that the car is safe as they delivered the car to us. All in all, very good car and excellent service. no issues so far.....5 weeks later.
