Hi Darren I am so sorry that you have been scammed and lost money to this human, he is a vile person who does not care about anything or anyone else he is only bothered about himself. I was unfortunate enough to buy a car from Bowden Car Sales in February 2022. When I went to view the car at the garage Nigel Bowden told me that I was unable to test drive the car due to Covid restrictions. I found this odd but didn’t argue with him and at the time didn’t think too much into this. However at that time we were out of lockdown and people were no longer required to wear masks and he had no mask on when I went to look at the car, but as I said I didn’t challenge this. I liked the look of the car after sitting in it and looking at the bodywork and state of the car. I paid a deposit of £250 and left the garage over the moon with the thought of collecting the car within a week. I collected the car on 14/2/2022 and noticed virtually the day I collected it that it didn’t feel right so I contacted Nigel Bowden and he asked me to take the car back which I did the day after. He looked at it and said that he would order a part for the repair of the car and he would let me know when the part was in. After 2 weeks still no call from Nigel Bowden so I contacted him and he said it was on the way. I gave this some thought and after some consideration and speaking to my family I rang again and asked for my money back and he point blank refused to give me a refund even though I was still in my rights to have a refund as I was still within the 30 days which is stated in The Consumer Rights Act 2015. In the mean time I took the car to an independent garage to get a full report on what was wrong with the car as the engine management light had come on more than once and a warning message also came on telling me to take the car to a garage and get it repaired immediately this just worried me even more. The garage told me that the car had numerous leaks both oil and water leaks, the sump was leaking and I was told that the car really needed a new engine. I am of the impression at this point that the car had not had an MOT by a legit garage and felt even more that I was not going to keep the car. This again made me very anxious and by this time I was more than angry. I had sent letters and e mails asking for a refund, Nigel Bowden received the letters and e mails and told me that I wasn’t getting a refund. My daughters partner rang and he was told to f**k off by Nigel Bowden. This whole experience left me extremely anxious i had sleepless nights. I didn’t eat and my mental health was beginning to suffer so I decided on a different approach. I contacted my bank and I opened a debit card dispute and eventually I got most of my money back 🙏🏻 I am recently widowed and buying a car on my own without my husband to support me was a daunting experience to say the least, Nigel Bowden was fully aware of my situation as I explained the situation to him when I went to look at the car, and still he treated me this way without an ounce of compassion. After getting most of my money back I now had to put my trust in someone else and buy another car. I eventually found a lovely little car at a garage in Manchester. The gentleman at the garage which is called Phoenix Cars, they are based on Hyde Road in Manchester, the owner of the garage dealt with me and he is called Ben he was so helpful and treated me very well. I would definitely recommend this car sales place 110%. I have since drove past Bowden Cars and noticed they have now changed their name to Senna Autos. However I found out today that there are no cars on the site at all and the forecourt is completely empty. I would like to think that they have been closed down and are no longer trading and no more people will be treated so badly again. It just seems wrong that we are now in 2022 and he has been able to trade and treat people so bad for so long and he continued to take peoples hard earned money without a care in the world. Extremely rude customer service and the owner , when I tried to ask about the deposit in case if the car looks different than the pictures, he stared to scream and shout at me telling to not to waste his time . I was only asking . In the end he took the deposit and haven’t even brought the car to my house ! Disappointed, lost money and car was not delivered . Also another car that has arrived had many issues after The diagnostic of the car few days later , as the warranty doesn’t cover most of the things . This means my partner will have to pay over 1k for the repairs that need to be done although the car supposed to be in perfect condition. Some issues with the leaking engine injectors , breaking pads , front wishbone axel and much more . Do not buy from them ! I read few reviews before but didn’t think it was true but now I know what people meant by writing the reviews. It is impossible to leave the review on the google as well so they only keep some positive feedbacks ( not sure if real ) on their website. STRONGLY ADVISE TO NOT TO BUY FROM THEM AS THEY SELL BROKEN CARS WITH PROBABLY FAKE MOT AND THE CAR WILL BREAK FEW DAYS AFTER THE PURCHASE AND YOU CANNOT DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT AS YOU’D ALREADY PAID FOR IT. If you buy from there make sure you will have extra money for check of the car and repair if you want to drive safe.

Bought the banger Corsa December,told them front seat was faulty yeah yeah we’ll fix it,they delivered it with MOT not repaired, Scraped the Alloys putting on the transport trailer when delivering.New battery needed,Spare wheel no tools,Log book brand new but totally blank and finally the Cherry on the cake ,Timing Chain needs replaced . My Daughter is a student and is a learner Driver she’s distraught, People Be Warned!

Sold me a total banger, was found to have been flooded, Electrics are goosed needs over £4000 spent not including time to pass an MOT! STAY WELL AWAY FOLKS!!

Bought a car on the Friday,picked it up the following Saturday,went to work @ 4am Monday morning only got 4 miles from my house and the car went into limp mode,took it back at 9am so it took Hyde motor company 2 weeks to look at it ?? and when I got the car back they said the was running perfect.? as Nigal was walking round with the had you over smirk on his face, Don’t even want to give them a one star rating!

Avoid completely, 2months after buying a car and reporting issues within a week to then have to wait 2months for them to even look at. The car isn’t fixed, the not was be pfft the car wasn’t serviced and they are rude and arrogant and have no care. For big tire as I’ve seen loads of people have had the same issues after they have fixed it. They are given one chance to repair the vehicle, and you are entitled to your money back this is any mechanical or electrical fault within 6month of you have a warranty or not. If after 6month that fault happens again you can apply for a refund which will mean legal action with these cowboys. Don’t let them intimidate you and even if they are pretending to fix your car get legal advice!

My bought a Land Rover Freelander from this car dealer. Three and a half months later the exhaust fell off. We took the car to our garage to be repaired. Upon inspection it was revealed the the bit of the chassis that the exhaust bolts to, was rotten. Also there were exhaust fumes coming into the cab. We had a couple of quotes to get it repaired and the cheapest was nearly £2000 pounds (she paid £3500 for the car). We contacted Nigel Bowden who told us to bring the car to one of his smaller, rougher looking car sales plots. He didn't show up but sent one of his staff to inspect it. His man had a look underneath and then informed us that we had a problem. He informed us that as the vehicle had been owned by wife for over 3 months that Nigel Bowden wasn't going to do anything to sort the problem out. When the man Nigel sent to inspect the Freelander was leaving, he leaned out of his car window and reminded my wife that this was the chance she took, in buying a used car. He was smirking as he drove off. Due to the fumes coming into the cab she couldn't use the car. She was reduced to selling the car for £1200. We have reported him to the DVLA and the Police. There was very little they could do except keep their eye on him. It's been very difficult to find a way of leaving a review on him. I was unable to leave a review on Google, ebay and auto trader. There are some really good second hand car dealers out there. This guy is not one of them do not trust him. If you do have to buy a car off him please take an experienced mechanic or get the AA/RAC to insect the vehicle. My wife was so upset. Note; date of purchase is approximate. The vehicle was purchased in the middle of 2019

Bought a Ka from Hyde Motor Company last year .Took for MOT today and the rust underneath was unbelievable apparently .Must have had a dodgy MOT because not roadworthy .Do not buy from this garage .Amazed still alive given the state of the corrosion under car .Fuming .
