I had two objectives: to buy an excellent car through a simple transaction. Both objectives were achieved and all of my customer needs were met by the sales rep. He was honest, knowledgeable and sincere - everything needed to help buy the right car at the right price. During the whole process I felt that the focus was solely on the customer, and it was clear to me that the sales rep was a great listener and 100% committed to getting me through the sales process in the best possible way. If only all dealerships could make the customer experience happen like this! Great transaction, I wouldn’t hesitate to buy again.

I spent £40k buying a Range Rover Sport from JCM base don the lies and misleading information on Autotrader. The issues I have with them are as follows: 1. They had lied about the car mileage advertising 49000 miles, I paid a deposit and they had said the car was fully serviced and had full dealership service history. When i went to collect the car I found out that the car had done 51000 miles (lied by 2000 miles), Then within one week of having the car, the car started the following issues: 1. Service warning came on- i asked them why they had lied about the service, they started giving irrelevant excuses and reasons. 2. I asked them to fix it, they continued to ignore my calls and email. 3. The driver side started having noise when leaving your foot off the pedal. i reported to them, again they kept on ignoring my calls and emails and when they did reply, they were trying everything to find a reason to let go. I contacted their so called warranty company Blackstars Warranties and they too said you need to sort it out via JCM motors. They left me with no choice but to instigate legal action and to recover my money. SO I WOULD AVOID THIS DODGY CAR COMPANY AS THEY LIE ABOUT THEIR CARS AND PROVIDE MISLEADING INFORMATION TO POOR DRIVERS AND CUSTOMERS.

Firstly, we are sorry that you have felt the need to write this review especially as, despite numerous requests by us, you continue to refuse to either let us inspect the vehicle or provide any evidence of any fault. Neither us or the warranty company can simply pay you a sum of money without any shred of evidence of any issue. In regard to the mileage, the vehicle tipped over to 50,123 while in our care and preparation, an increase of around 200 miles, not 2000. Your invoice clearly states the point of sale mileage as 50,123. In regard to the service, the vehicle had been independently serviced in November 2021 at 45,723 miles, it was not due a further service. We have always been willing to help but are not in the business of simply handing over money in response to threats of defamatory reviews. If you would like to discuss the matter with us please contact us directly as we will not be making any further public comment.

I recently bought a Range Rover Sport from JCM Motor Company. Adrian the salesmen did a really good job throughout the whole process. He quickly responded to my queries in a professional manner. Overall a very positive experience from this company.

Would advise people to completely AVOID JCM Motor Company. 3 days after purchasing the car the battery died completely and needed to be replaced costing £110 as the car would only start via jumping and the battery was unable to hold charge. When i queried this with the garage they advised its not their problem as batteries 'don't just die' and that the battery was perfect as they checked it on the MOT - However a quick google search can show you battery's do actually just die & also that the only battery checks on an MOT is that it is secure and not leaking electrolytes so they were both further lies from the dealer. Additionally they said it was my fault and that i would have left the lights on, although this isn't possible as all electronics turn off when the keys are removed. In addition to this, before paying the deposit the dealer agreed the car would have all MOT advisories rectified, to refurbish the 2 front wheels as all the lacquer had peeled off them and also replace the drivers window motor as from the sound it was clear that this was on its way out. However, after paying the deposit and coming to purchase the car a week later neither of the repairs had been done and the front windscreen was damaged which was an MOT advisory and hadn't been repaired - When we queried these we were told "Don't buy the car then" although we'd already paid our deposit. It was clear the dealer had someone else lined up to buy the car and wanted to just keep our deposit and sell it to them due to the attitude change and the fact that the car only had 4 miles left in the tank when we returned so its clear it was out on test drives after we'd paid the deposit (Or the dealer had been using it for personal use) Complete lack of customer service, will just waffle and speak over you without listening. Be very wary dealing with this garage.

“Dear Mr Grey. We are disappointed to hear that you feel it is necessary to leave such reviews when we have simply asked for evidence that your battery is defective. We have asked for the opportunity to inspect your vehicle and if the battery is defective we will remedy that for you. There is simply nothing more we can do to help you until we have that opportunity. This vehicle is 9 years old and minor imperfections should be expected. The front wheel had a small stone chip and a small piece of lacquer was missing, it did not warrant a total repaint. We also agreed to look at the drivers side window motor, it was working fine. When we advised we would not repair the minor stone chip and window motor before sale we were always very willing to return your deposit to you if you did not want to proceed with the sale. You chose to continue and purchase the vehicle however. We also deny that we used your vehicle for test drives or any other purpose. We took the vehicle for an MOT and you also took the vehicle out on an extended test drive upon collection. Finally, we had no issues starting your vehicle, nor did the MOT tester so we are satisfied that the battery was not faulty, we feel that these reviews are unfair and only in response to us insisting on inspecting your vehicle. As a business that is very conscious of our customer service we hope that this matter can be resolved and would ask you to contact us to advise when we can inspect your vehicle. Hi Adrian, As discussed on the phone, it wasn't possible for us to drive from Newcastle to the dealership with a faulty battery as you said you could only inspect it if it was in the car. I said i would send the invoice for the battery however you weren't interested. In response to the front wheels, the lacquer was completely peeled from both front wheels and if you didn't think it required a re-paint you shouldn't have agreed to do this when we paid the deposit (Which is also in writing). Additionally you shouldn't have agreed that the car would have no MOT advisories prior to sale when it did. My issues aren't with the problems it's the fact you didn't carry out work you agreed on and didn't seem to care when any problems were brought up - If you didn't agree to carry out the work i wouldn't have had a problem. Finally it's been 7 weeks and i still haven't received my V5C, I contacted the DVLA yesterday and they said they haven't received an application so I'm going to have to do this myself now.

What can i say for this professionally run business. Nothing was too much for them. As a women on my own looking for a car they made me feel welcome and made the whole process very simple. Definitely would recommend JCM Motor Company to all. These guys have very good manners and are highly professional and their their customer service was second to none.

I purchased a Jaguar XF-S from JCM and could not be happier. Firstly, the car just looks beautiful, it was thoroughly cleaned inside and out. Secondly the service could not have been better; there was no pressure when I arrived to look at the car, the keys were handed over and could check everything out at my own pace. When I picked up the car it came with a 12 month MOT, had been serviced and came with a 3 month warranty. Any questions or queries I had were quickly answered - altogether a completely different car buying experience to what I have been through in the past and I would definitely go back there when I change my car again. Thanks guys.

I purchased a porsche cayenne from JCM Motor Company, and I could not be more happy with the service from start to finish. 10 out of 10 I paid £500 deposit over the phone to secure the car, based upon the pictures and description having had the sales person walk around the car, obviously i was nervous but had no option as the round trip was 300 miles. The car was in pristine condition and better than described. Im over the moon with the car and the service of the garage. Knowing nothing about cars they put it through a new MOT, shown me all the workings of the car etc and gave me 6 months RAC warranty. Excellent from start to finish. Thanks JCM Motor Company Sarah

Happy with car and service from JCM Motor Company at the time of purchase. Then fault with 26k car in less than 4 months which was covered under the Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. Not so pleasant to deal with then and didn't care I was 4 months down the line with a car that could not be used. RAC warranty covered small part of repair cost but the shortfall should be covered by garage under my Consumer rights. They tried to baffle and waffle on and tried to put the onus on me. My rights are its the garage to prove otherwise and not me and them that are liable for the cost. I tried to speak but was spoke over. I will take to small claims court under the Consumer act more so for the aftercare I received more than the money of repair. The garage will always try to talk out of their responsibility but a customer should be took serious when the law is in favour of the Buyer who spend their hard earned cash. I would of expected more to be honest and the garage clearly not bothered about repeat buyers.

Staff from JCM Motor Company Ltd in response to fault with 26k car

A disappointing review that needs to be put into some context. The vehicle had over 85,000 miles on it at the point of sale. It had a new MOT plus a 12 month RAC warranty. After three months something unknown caused the suspension to fail. It was fixed by the garage engaged by the reviewer. However, they charged 2.5 hours of labour whereas the time identified by ‘Autodata’ (used by all garages) was that the job would take no longer than one hour!! The reviewer demands that we pay the 1.5 hours extra that his garage has charged him for – and wrongly so in our opinion. We respectfully suggest that the reviewer revert to the garage he chose to do the repair and not to us. Finally, this will be our only public comment on the matter but felt it only appropriate that we provide one response.
