2 months purchased a new Dacia from John Banks Cambridge and particularly wanted breakdown cover for peace of mind for when wife driving. Paid the extra when ordering the new car for a spare wheel rather that have just the inflation kit, and expressly questioned the breakdown cover if it included tyre change. We were assured it was covered, found out on Sunday after having a puncture that this is not the case, and it was to cost £109.00 for the Dacia breakdown to come and do it for us. I will admit that among the reams of paperwork we were given at handover I did find out that we are not covered for tyres. This will teach me NOT to take slick salesmen's word for it and to sit and fully read all paperwork relating to a sale next time. A call to John Banks to question this and hoping to talk to the salesman that we dealt with at point of sale, to hear his explanation as to why he assured us we were fully covered has yet to be answered. We were promised a call from him five days ago and are still waiting- so much for after-sales care! Would also suggest some staff training in product knowledge, and I don't just mean the vehicles, the extras like breakdown and insurance that they also offer should be something their staff are fully aware and compliant with.
