Unsafe vehicle fault ignored and no response from VW Solihull management. I bought a Volkswagen from Johnsons Volkswagen Solihull that developed a serious automatic tailgate fault only a few months after purchase. The car has been back for repair three times, yet the fault remains unresolved. The issue has been witnessed on two separate occasions by Volkswagen staff, and I have also sustained an injury caused by the tailgate unexpectedly closing. Despite this, the dealership has not resolved the problem. I formally rejected the vehicle under the Consumer Rights Act several months ago. Volkswagen UK’s Executive Office has since stepped in, but the senior management at Johnsons Volkswagen Solihull continue to ignore both their requests and mine, leaving the case unresolved. The car remains unsafe and unfit for normal use. Extremely disappointing experience and not what you’d expect from a main Volkswagen dealership.

booked in over the phone sit and wait was told an hour for an oil change over the phone they made me sit and wait for 3 hours for the oil change most of the staff running around like headless chickens place is a shambles

I have bought a used car costing £31k and I drove it home had a puncture paint work chipped only realised in the morning as we bought the car in the evening the sales assistant was 10/10 but I will it’s management that needs to over look these issue I had to take time of work it wasn’t their problem it took them three hours to change 2 tyres I watched how the workers did nothing but waste time Then being told it was my fault and we’ve done nothing but complain I think anyone paying that much money would want a perfect car Money doesn’t drop on trees we work hard
From the initial enquiry to the collection of my new car I experienced a seamless transaction. Bal Singh is not only a very good salesman but an excellent communicator. I would definitely use Johnson Solihull for any future VW purchase.
Avoid this garage at all costs, 4/5 months ago, I was sold an approved used car at full market value, with VW's "142 approved used checks". I have just had to pay an additional £2000 to replace the headlight and other electronic components in the car, which a technician at another VW garage pointed out was subsequently caused by the car being in a bump..!? This was patched up by Johnsons Solihull and I was not informed in the slightest that the car had any damage. This repair was also not covered by the warranty. The V5C is still outstanding, so I am having hassle with my registration plates 4/5 months down the line. I'm likely going to have to pay DVLA an additional £25 to get a replacement logbook, even though Johnsons Solihull said they'd sort this out for me. They also caused problems with the vehicle I traded-in, I had to wait over a month to receive payment, this affected my credit score. On the whole, as well as the car cost I'm now another £2080 out of pocket. I will not be recommending this garage to anyone! UPDATE: I contacted Johnsons Solihull as per the reply on Google Reviews. After numerous phone calls and hassle which also involved a phone call from Bob Sandhal (the branch sales manager) speaking to me rudely down the phone and also going out of my own way to get quotes to repair additional damage. They have refused to help me at all financially, I am left in a position at which I am out of pocket. I was also lied to about my V5C on numerous occasions by the manager and sales staff! Only after writing this review did they action the application of my V5C to the DVLA which I received 5 working days after. Yet I was told they did this 5 months ago, on several occasions by both the manager and multiple sales staff. Advice: Stay away from VW Johnsons Solihull. If you'd like to buy a new car look elsewhere.

Rude service department. Brought my car in for a service and 36 hours later they tell me they still haven’t looked at it. Go to pick up the keys and nobody knows who’s got them. After being given the run around, I end up at the service department who claim they’ve not got them. At this point I’m getting irritated and after a worker speaks to another worker it turns out they do have them. After about 10 minutes another worker turns up with the keys, I ask for them to be handed over. She refuses to do this claiming a diagnostic test has been run and that this isn’t covered by the warranty. I advise that’s not my understanding and has not been agreed to in any communications. I ask again for the keys to be handed over which she refuses to do unless I pay. I ask to see the manager and instead of getting the manager they bring out a sales assistant. The manager does finally turn up but we’re getting nowhere. I have to pay them for no reason to hand my keys back. I will be lodging a formal complaint to Johnson’s Cars.
Dissapointed with service. Diagnostics quoted as £70, phoned later to charge extra £300 to diagnose the problem. The once fuel injector 'replaced' got halfway home only to find massive fuel leak overheating under the bonnet. RAC stated was an amateur job, and lucky wasnt a petrol car or would've caused a fire. Unsafe mechanics, avoid.
