Purchased Nissan xtrail July 2021 ,air con defective,repaired took two weeks ,noise front o/s drives repaired but noise returned ,rear wiper / wiring broken eventually repaired. Handbrake again eventually repaired .osfront drive noise still evident after 3 attempted repairs .By this time out of warranty. No contact available with LDVS .Took to local garage who has repaired it . New drive shaft .I wouldn't recommend this garage to anyone beware !

After a number of contacts with Grant I travelled the 3.5hr journey to look at a golf (sd61 ylh). The car was at the top end of the valuation scale for its age and mileage but was advertised as 'great' inside and out. There was plenty of opportunity in our communications prior to me visiting for discussing any faults with the car. On arriving and seeing/driving the car there were a number if issues (damage to side of car, alloy wheels in very bad state, crack in windscreen bigger than 10mm, wear evident depressing/releasing clutch, worn interior, no spare wheel). Not only was there a complete refusal to commit to fixing the noisy clutch but strangely Grant would not negotiate on the price whatsoever. Very disappointing as I wasted a lot of time and money viewing and had I not noticed these issues (which the seller denied noticing) I'd have bought a car which is definitely not 'great'.

Hi Lia thanks for your review although a little unfair and untrue. There was a small Scratch on the drivers door which I had admitted that I had missed I offered to not only look at seeing what the fault was with the clutch but give you £200 off the car and even offered you fuel for your journey which you declined. I think when looking at a 7 year old car at £2995 you need to think that it is not new and is used so will have some element of wear. We later sold the car for the asking price and it was simply a clip that needed replacing for the clutch. Thanks once again for your review. We hope you found a car that managed your expectations. 5 stars is just not enough for the fantastic service you get at Lake District Vehicle Sales. Grant could not have been more helpful, he let us take the car for a test drive and then allowed us to take our time to make a decision. This was such a refreshing change from the high pressure sales technique used by some garages we had visited. Grant took care of all the paperwork for us and made the whole process stress free. All we had to do was drive away in our new Mini and I LOVE it. This was the easiest car purchase I have ever made...HIGHLY recommend this dealer.
