We bought our first Aston Martin away from the dealer at Lawton Brook this April and it ended up a BIG mistake! The reviews looked good and the car spec was exactly what we were looking for, delt with Chris who told us the car was perfect as that's what Lawton Brook only deal in sounded great so we done a deal and went down to get it On inspection paint work was damaged and price had to be re negotiated, thank goodness we didn't accept there FREE delivery...on road test stop start light wouldn't go off Chris advised it was due to sitting around and would be fine! More rubbish ended up needing a new battery. Service book and hand book was missing and we were walking away but Chris promised he would order one from AM Leeds and send it on to us and confirmed it by email, after numerous phone calls and emails Chris eventually told us it's here and will send it out recorded delivery...did we ever get it...did we heck...just told total lies...certainly wouldn't recommend and for all the difference on price I will never make the mistake of using back street garage again...dealer only for us.
Purchased a Range Rover Evoque from Lawton Brook and after driving less than 15 minutes back home the car began showing a lot of issues such as ‘restricted performance’ and also then Engine Management Light coming on. I contacted Lawton Brook who first wouldn’t reply then after multiple messages I got a response saying the vehicle was ‘sold as seen’ even though I have a sales receipt which states different. Avoid them.

Buyer beware, we were sold a faulty car which needed over 20k in engine repair work and the dealer didn't want to know. The warranty is not worth the paper it is written on and when things go wrong the dealer doesn't care. Terrible attitude from the dealer which has cost me a fortune. Avoid at all costs!!

We bought a car from these crooks last year which has subsequently suffered terminal engine failure after 6 months of ownership and left us with a huge bill to pay as the warranty we were sold wouldn’t pay out. We asked Lawton Brook for a contribution towards the cost but all we got is a don’t care attitude and arrogant staff (especially Steve). Please ignore their sales chat and flash cars as they are simply a take your money and run dealer who don’t care when things go wrong.

I bought a 4yr old BMW X3 with a 12-month warranty for £37,000 from Lawton Brook in July 2023. In January 2024 the engine failed due to a faulty oil filter that collapsed and was sucked into the engine causing £23,000 in damage. The ‘warranty’ that came with the vehicle refused my claim stating the part which failed is a serviceable item and is not covered. Lawton Brook blamed BMW stating the part which failed should be covered by a BMW parts warranty as it has a full BMW service history. This is not true as a BMW parts warranty does not transfer to the new owner and is just lies and deceit from Lawton Brook. Due to my past buying history with BMW I was made a goodwill offer to replace the engine, but I must pay near £7k in labour costs. I have asked Lawton Brook for a contribution towards the labour costs as I paid full price for the car with a warranty, but they will not pay anything stating sales of goods act etc etc they are not liable which is not the sort of response you should get from a dealer when spending your hard-earned money on a vehicle. The two people I spoke with Steve and Alex were too concerned about blaming other people but took no responsibility for themselves. The sales staff can’t do enough for you when they want your money but once they have it, they simply do not care if you have problems. Please do not make the same mistake as I did, DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY, if you have any problems they do not care, and their ‘warranty’ is not worth the paper it is written on. I will be reporting them to trading standards about their conduct, they do not deserve to be in business operating this way. Reading some of their past reviews, it looks like they have a history of this behaviour. Considering they are selling some high-end cars worth over six figures, I wouldn’t spend a penny with this company, and if you are reading this review, I urge you don’t either.

Bought an X5 M50d from Lawton Brooke . I have not bought a car for some years now tried the maindealers had poor experience. Alex was fantastic helped me understand today’s market was patient and a real people person he understood my anxieties it was a real pleasure parting with my cash not normally must be part Yorkshire. Thanks again Alex the car is mint.
