I contacted Southport Honda as I’d seen a Honda Civic Sport Plus advertised and despite living hundreds of miles away decided to call. I was put through and talked to Jane Lund who very professionally talked me through the vehicle and even took a video to show me all the details of the car. I had it explained to me, by her, that the marks on the wheels I had noticed were noted and would be fully refurbished prior to delivery and told me the history of the car and generally gave all the information I could ask for. Jane very quickly built a rapport with me and she came across as a really pleasant and likeable individual which I felt was important in a distance selling environment. This did not stop her asking if I would be buying the car if she could get me the part exchange price I wanted or offering the extras like vehicle protection for the paintwork and interior or the insurance to get me the purchase price back in the event that the car might be written off ! This was all done without me feeling pressured and although I couldn’t push her to get the full amount I wanted as a part exchange, it was close enough to make me say yes and pay a deposit to secure the car. Jane has obviously been well trained and has absorbed that training and put it to good use and is a credit to both the dealership and Hondas standards of training. If only all sales were this smooth and professional I would be very happy, so thank you Jane and Southport Honda for taking the hassle and trepidation out of buying a car at distance, relying solely on Jane’s character and Southport Hondas reputation to make me trust you enough to do this! I seldom write reviews but felt that on this occasion it was well earned.
