Brought a car in aug 2018 and within 4 months I had to have the flywheel and clutch changed. After purchasing warranty they refused to pay for this however under the consumer rights act they had to pay for it. They only reimburse me for the clutch as they said the flywheel didn’t need changing. Then went on to ask to see the old flywheel 4 weeks after it was disposed off after me asking if they needed any evidence. I’ve recently found out they have missold me warranty after the Kia I brought already had warranty on the car. They took the stickers off the car stating it had warranty. I’m now in the process of finding my paper work to get. Refund on the warranty that one I have never used or have had any use for and 2 the fact the car already had warranty. The company is so bad. The dealers are very peer pressuring and there cars are awful. I know someone else in my local area this has happened too do and we live 60 odd miles away from Maidstone.
Jason Golder from Marshams in response to Awful cars
Hi Shannon, As detailed in 2018 the warranty was unable to support your claim. This is situation was created because your garage failed to follow the claims process. When we became aware of your initial complaint, we requested a copy of the communication between yourself and your repairing dealer, from the warranty company. The transcript of the conversation documented clearly, that the repairing dealer strip and inspect before proceeding further, however they did not do this. The warranty company then agreed to assist with the claim if the repairing garage could produce the faulty components for inspection, which they also refused to produce. It was the warranty companies belief that components had been replaced which did not require replacement and they refused to support the claim. However Marshams did pay a goodwill payment to assist you in this matter. I am sorry that you were not fully satisfied. We would always try and help however on this occasion we were unable to assist fully due to the evidence and situation that had developed prior to our involvement.
Fantastic service and great car at a low price. I would recommend.
Attended the garage to view a car just under £16,000. The car was not in the dealership forecourt but in a yard around the corner. I politely followed the salesman to the yard. The cars were parked so close together that even after he'd opened the car I couldn't squeeze in to look. At this point the Salesman was already asking if I'd like to buy the car and talking to me about finance. I politely explained that I wouldn't require finance and asked if he could move the car so that I could look at it properly. This resulted in him pulling it forward 3 feet and I still couldn't get into the car. I requested to test drive the car only to be asked "are you going to buy it, we need to discuss how you're going to finance the car". I told the salesman that I didn't know if I was going to buy the car until I'd test driven it. He then explained that I could test drive it after we'd filled in some paperwork. I asked how long it would take, to be told 30-40 minutes. Again the salesmen suggested we could discuss finances whilst the yardmen got the car out for testing. At this point having made it quite clear that I didn't want it indeed need finance to purchase the vehicle I decided to leave. Perhaps if the staff spent a little more time concentrating on customer experience instead of continuously pushing pricey finance I'd have driven away what was a nice car.

They had a car I was interested in at a good price so I got in touch and checked on the possibility to use my 14 years old car as part exchange. After reviewing my car, they said they would be happy to take it so we discussed the price for it. After a usual back and forth, we agreed on a number that was half way between what each side asked for, and that the transaction would happen a couple of weeks later. The day of the collection, I brought my car in the same conditions than when they saw it the first time, and they strangely found an issue with the clutch that apparently was dropping its value by 75%, hence they would only give me 25% of the agreed price. Obviously, this was planned as I live 2 hours away from the seller’s place, and having all the insurance and paperwork arranged for both vehicles, I had not much more choice than accepting this ridiculous offer. It very much sounded that if it was not the clutch, they would have found something else not to pay the price they committed to. In addition to that, When I pick up the new car, supposedly recently fully service, I noticed that one tyre was looking flat, I asked them to check and it had half of the pressure than needed. So they sent someone to resolve this, with a rusty foot pump. The lad started pumping up, but without removing the lock, so I stopped him and removed it for him so he could actually pump up the tyre. Not sure what kind of service they did to the car, and what kind of training they provide to their team. Finally, I took the road, looking for the first petrol station which was actually less than one mile away. Turns out that they had left so little fuel in the tank that I did not manage to get to the station. The car stopped! Fortunately, I could leave it on the side of the road. I had to walk to the station to get a jar of fuel, then get back to the car to finally refill the tank! This is my story with Marshams, which I strongly recommend everyone to stay away from. I take the time to write this review hoping that my story will not happen to other customers in the future. I still give a star as there is no option to give none

Found the jeep renegade on cargurus it looked very clean from pics the price also seemed good so I decided to book a test drive with the sales guy {Darren) so the following day I drive with my partner to Maidstone 100 miles to find the 2016 plate jeep renegade waiting outside for me, I had a quick look at the car before going in the dealers, I found quite a few scratches dents and birds poop marks on the bodywork also scuffed front and rear bumpers, anyway... went in got the keys from Darren, opened the car, it smelt mouldy the passenger window had moss growing on it! started the car up 3 of the 4 tyres were low pressure so the car was pulling to the left , there was a warning light on the dash (not sure what for). I couldn't open the bonnet to look in the engine bay area to check for leaks etc etc... Now this car has apparently been on cargurus for 40 days surely these faults should have been sorted out, Darren said if I was interesting in buying the car he'd sort the faults out and they had been way too busy to look at the jeep... Really??,I find they hard to believe. So I offered Marshams a lower price to which he immediately took offense to saying that the car was not for me etc etc .. Seriously?? Sorry Darren this is not good enough, that car should've been spick and span and ready for sale, and at very least pump the bloody tyres up! Lastly I'm sorry if I was a bit rude to you, but your service is poor.
Jason from Marshams in response to Jeep Renegade
Hi Carlos, Firstly, I would like to apologise that the Jeep Renegade that you wanted to view was not prepared to our usual standard. I have spoken to Daren so that I am able to understand how the car was not valeted prior to your arrival. Unfortunately, this was an operational issue which we will look to rectify in the future. The warning lights on the dash board related to the tyre pressure being low and this has now been reset and the vehicle has now been cleaned so that the window seals are now clean. I fully understand your frustration of travelling 100 miles however we could have arranged very quickly to have the items you detailed rectified, and as such very significant discount you requested we were unable to accept. We always value feedback and we use this to improve our customer experience in the future.
I made an appointment to meet a sales man at Marshams at 1.30pm to see a vehicle. We live in Ireland and we planned to bring the car over on the ferry that evening. The photos on the internet showed a very clean car and the salsa man assured us on the hike that it was just as clean as the photos suggested. After waiting 20 mins to eventually see the sales man, When I saw the car it was an absolute disgrace. There was dirt everywhere, dog hairs, a hole in the carpet the size of a fist, the plastic was all scratched from dogs being in the car and it was absolutely filthy. The panel at boot of the car was missing paint and was in ruins, yet the salesman assured us over the phone that it was a very clean car. He then argued that we said on the phone that we said we planning not to take it away that day, yet we explained in the phone that we had the ferry booked. Stay well away from this place!
Matthew Illott from Marshams in response to Disgraceful service
Dear Sir, I have investigated this matter and unfortunately, the salesman did not follow our process and check the vehicle as you had requested. I am sorry that on this occasion we have not met your or our expectations. Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. As a business we take all complaints seriously so that we are able to offer a better service in the future
Marshams are great. James really helped me a lot to get the car I wanted. When you spend a lot of money on a car you want to feel that you trust the company. I definitely felt that here. Plus having a 3 year warranty is great piece of mind

Collected car from Marshams and found them very helpful and professional. The car was as discribed and the warranty package was excellent. I would recommend
