Arranged appointment with Martyns Car Sales the day before in good faith. As I turned up, outside of the 'yard'...under the motorway (after 45 min drive), got a text message saying car was sold! Didn't go in, not worth blood pressure increase. If Martyn had texted he had another interested customer he could have had two parties bidding for the same car, missed that opportunity! Anyway, not recommended...you decide!

I have now bought two cars from Martyns Car Sales, a Polo as a first car for my daughter who then progressed to a golf. It was very easy to deal with Martyn and Ian who are very knowledgeable and helpful. What I like is the fact that Martyn is very laid back and does not push the deal at all. He is more than happy for you to think about it with the knowledge that he probably has the best car at the best price and you will return. I am more than happy to return to Martyn the next time I need to change my car. I even sold my X3 to Martin who offered me more than BMW on the part exchange.

Agreed to view the car by appointment having called the day before. Arrived at the site the next day, no car there. Waited 30 minutes. Apparently the car we were interested in was stuck in the mud in a field elsewhere. Effectively wasted 20 quid of fuel and three hours of my life. Car lot was filled with expensive no-hope motors rusting away with just a few cars he was actually trying to sell and a one or two halo cars. I know the technique. Not buying it. Disorganised and incompetent. I would not recommend this dealer. Don't even bother.

Am currently looking at a number of options with regards to a replacement vehicle and having perused the website rang to make an appointment as requested. In total there are 5 cars I wish to look at. I thought that would be an advantage with one dealership having them all in one place (not dissimilar to the car supermarkets). However, it was too much trouble for Martyns Car Sales to pull all 5 cars together and unless I can narrow my search down to 1 or 2 then they are not interested in my business! So much for customer service.
