The car I purchased was not as advertised. Get an independent inspection, because any faults are dismissed and the warranty is not worth anything. I urge anyone that has had concerns about a car purchase from Mercia Motors, to contact Consumer Direct / Trading Standards. Too many similar situations and this company and its Sales people/ MD's need taking to task. Please report. Better still find another car to purchase.. If it sounds too good to be true!...it usually is, learn from the experience of others and stay away.

Mercia Motors are very upmarket. The dealership is extremely good. The professionalism shines through and that is why I would certainly recommend the dealership to family and friends. I did not encounter any issues at all, everything ran very smoothly and overall it was great!!

Two weeks ago my husband purchased the car he always wanted, and was assured by Paul, a director at Mercia Motors, that the car would be available to pick up on Saturday. We live in London, so we arose early on Saturday to take the train to Sheffield to get our new car, which we had already paid for. When we arrived, the car was dirty, the left front side light wasn't working, there was an unfilled crack in the windshield, and the salesperson was unable to locate the MOT. We were asked to return in four hours after the MOT was performed. We returned that day to learn that the car had failed the MOT and that we would need to wait an indeterminate amount of time to return to Sheffield and pick up the car. We returned a week later. It had passed the MOT and we completed the sale. However, the car still had not been cleaned, all four tires were at different pressures, and the oil and antifreeze levels were quite low. I found the level of service to be extremely substandard.
