My name is Trevor, I bought a Hyundai i10 from Oxford Road Car Sales, I bought the car but was never told it was an insurance write off, I’ve had my grandchildren in this car and now I’ve found out that the mileage was put back, asked for a refund still waiting, looks to me like court action, I only want my money back, I’ve not had the car for long.

Trevor dealt with the owner of the business and on the first visit was told that the car was a CAT D write off the car was also advertised saying the same. As for the other comments regarding the Mileage of the vehicle the previous MOT can be checked online and we would not or cannot change this. There was a gap in MOT but miles are still recorded and anyone can check this. The car also was MOT at a independent garage and was Passed all ok.
I purchased a Smart Roadster in Nov 17 from Oxford Road car sales paying extra for a useless warranty that isnt worth the paper its written on. Numerous problems from the start....the main issue being unable to lock it. The car wasn't fit for purpose as full of leaks also. Literally like a swimming pool!!! After being very patient with countless excuses from the garage trader I insisted the car was repaired. Eventually 23 Feb 18 they agreed to take it back to fix it and returned it 2 months later. In all had only driven it for 2 days since purchase!! Once car returned, due to excessive water, issues started this time with the ignition barrel and very poor service over all. Diagnostics have confirmed due to the excessive water there will be countless further problems. And to put more stress into the whole situation, when the car was collected in Feb 18 to be repaired, the van used to travel down in was deposited on my drive. It took over 2 months and a police intervention to remove it, as due to parking restrictions outside my home, I was limited to friends and family visiting. It was literally dumped with no MOT and was listed as SORN. Despite numerous calls and texts I am still awaiting a reply for a refund of repair expenses I have requested. The garage is still advertising numerous cars including my part exchange and yet no courtesy to acknowledge their failings in selling me a car which is unfit for purpose. Will be taking it further until I am compensated.Very unhappy customer!!!!!!

This was a customer of ours however her recollection of events is not truthful or correct. She had a warranty on her car through Warrantywise and when Warrantywise stated that the fault she reported was not covered we actually traveled down to Bournemouth from Coventry to collect the vehicle at our expense. We then took the car to Smart tecnic in Birmingham and gave the instruction to resolve any issues without exception. Once the car was repaired it was delivered back to the customer at our expense the exercise to help the customer cost in excess of £1500 . The car was sold to the customer for £3200 of which we allowed £1300 for her part exchange which was certainly not as described as we had to Spend £700 in rework on this vehicle to make it road worthy. This customer placed a negative review against us after the vehicle was returned and agreed to remove it. However as we can see she was not honest with us or the people reading this review.
