HAD A PROBLEM NOT LONG AFTER PURCHASING MY CAR , THE RESPONDED STRAIT AWAY BY COLLECTING THE CAR FROM MY HOME FIXING THE FAULT AND RETURNING THE CAR BACK TO ME. I WAS VERY IMPRESSED WITH THE SERVICE LEVEL AND WOULD USE PARK LANE MOTOR CO IN ROTHERHAM AGAIN FOR PURCHASING ANOTHER VEHICLE IN THE FUTURE.

No pressure salesmen at Park Lane Motor Co. Browse at your leisure. Cars are prepared to a high standard. I had a lengthy unaccompanied test drive. The car drove beautifully, not at all dissappointed with my purchase. Absolutely no problems since.

We visited Park Lane Motor Co in Rotherham and did a test drive and struck a deal. They gave us 3 months warranty and any years breakdown cover. He got in touch with a towbar fitted really and said that they could custom make one without cutting into the bumper. He said that he would email us the details. Surprise surprise he has not been in touch. They won't answer the phone either. There is no record of the warranty and the company state that they do not deal with that company. The towbar company state they remember the conversation and they told him that they are not allowed to custom make towbars. He was told that they would have to cut into the towbar which we said we didn't want. Overall we would not have bought the car if we had been told the truth. Sad thing is we would have bought something else more expensive. We definitely would never buy from them or recommend them. Deal with Park Lane Motor Co at your peril.

Good morning Steven, I have just received your negative feedback with regard to the sale of the Mercedes and I take being called a liar very seriously. We are Father and son business, you have met us both and am sure you have gathered we are approachable to say the least. Your requirements with regard to a tow bar were clearly discussed and I made a call to our regular tow bar supplier who could not find your vehicle on their system. On Monday the 20th of Feb I contacted an alternative supplier PCT in Sheffield who gave me a quote of £330 plus VAT which was a little higher than we estimated. You failed to mention in your feedback that I offered to pick up the VAT element ie £66.00 as a sign of goodwill. The delay on the tow bar was circa 7 days awaiting the wiring kit from their supplier, this delay would not inhibit you in any way as you stated on several occasions that your timescale was the beginning of the caravan season in line with the equinox - this year approx 20th of March. We requested your email address on the 23rd of Feb awaiting their response one week later. Having heard nothing from PCT by Tuesday the 24th of Feb I contacted PCT to be told they could no longer supply the tow bar even though they had provided an estimate. At this stage we contacted A1 Towing in Sheffield to whom we had recently supplied a vehicle to see if they could be competitive. Unfortunately they did not cover your vehicle. We again contacted our regular tow bar supplier Rotherham Tow Bars and gave them the vehicle towing weight (1500kg) to enable them to supply the correct tow bar for your vehicle. Despite several requests we did not receive a quotation email until Wednesday March the 1st (see enclosed attachment). This quote was again more expensive as they have to outsource the tow bar from Germany, expected delivery 7 - 14 days, your contribution would have remained at £330 with us funding the excess of £140.00. I would still point out that we are still within the original timescale as outlined at point of sale by you. It was our intention to contact you when the tow bar was in their possession and have it fitted within 2-3 days - still within your timescale. Moving on our office hours are 8am until 5pm with me starting normally at 7am, the phones are always manned and furthermore if we do not answer the land line for whatever reason you have my sons mobile number which you can ring or even send a text or email us on the address which is on your invoice and on the website. I have spoken to the RAC who have no record of your conversation as all calls are recorded and logged, I have also spoken to the Area Manager who has forwarded an email from her Boss who authorised the warranty on the same date as our email dated the 20th of Feb at 12.30pm (see attached). RAC criteria denotes the parameter for PLATINUM cover to be: 10 years or 100,000 miles. Any vehicle outside of this scope has to be authorised by senior management at the RAC as I cannot physically load this on our system. If we were to load it at our end your vehicle would only qualify for GOLD cover with only named parts covered and a limit per claim of £750. PLATINUM cover is awarded to us in receipt of volume of business and rarity of claims. As explained at point of delivery PLATINUM covers everything mechanical and electrical with a limit per claim £1000 and 12 months breakdown cover which you should have initiated the day you picked up the vehicle, this was also explained to you. The aggregate claims limit is the price of the vehicle in this case £4000.00. RAC manual input, owing to back log is taking approx 2 weeks hence the delay in the validation certificate being sent. A phone call to us would have pinpointed the delay and we could have sorted it there and then. Note that your cover is in place and has been from the 16th of Feb which was the date of collection. Confirmation from the RAC is also attached to this email. You have decided to go on line calling us liars without any of the facts. I find this not only vindictive buy totally unnecessary and it appears that it is you that will not answer the phone. I am more than willing to discuss this man to man but I doubt you will take up this offer as you prefer to hide behind a computer and bad mouth us to a third party., You have tried to damage my business when it is clear that we have done everything by the book. Any previous good will gesture has now been rescinded owing to your unwarranted and unfounded missive.
They're pretty much your standard car dealership, I was able to test drive the car a reasonable distance, I wasn't left waiting around as I'd called ahead and they the car ready to go. I would have liked the car to be a little cleaner but I won't knock them down too much for that as the car itself is faultless.
Nice as pie when buying as soon as after care and issues kicked in it all changed. The car was delivered late, took days off, nothing offered in compensation just quite a rude in communication. Told to then take garage and sort all work for them and get quote put in to them, this is what they should do. Car not valeted like we was told and was really dirty. Not happy and wouldnt use again
