I purchased a Ford Focus from here three weeks ago. The vehicle needed a number of jobs doing, which the sales guy John agreed to do. He also said that the vehicle would be serviced before I received it, and the service book stamped. I was told that the car would be ready for the Monday afternoon, and that John the sales guy would ring me to confirm. On the Monday, come late afternoon, I hadn't heard from John, so I gave People's a called, they said they had no record of the car going out to a customer that day, and I was told that John was off till the next day. The guy that I spoke to got the ball rolling to try and get my car ready for the next day, he also said that John would give me a call when he came in the following day. On Tuesday, John rang me and gave me an apology for my car not being ready, and said he had forgotten that he had booked Monday off. He said that he would have my car ready for Wednesday, and a colleague would deal with it as he was off on Wednesday. On the Wednesday I went to collect my car, l checked to see if the agreed jobs had been done, and was horrified to see that one of the jobs which was the sorting out of the chips on the bonnet, actually looked worst than before they had attempted to correct them, also I was told that giving that the car was on,y serviced by the previous owner 2 months ago, that they did service the car. I explained to the salesman and the sales manager Darren, that I wasn't happy with the car and that I was going to reject it, which they agreed to, but said that they had registered the car in my name and that I couldn't get my deposit back until I return the V5C to them when I received it. After some to-ing and fro-ing, I was offered £100 off if I completed on the car, to which I agreed. Since the purchase of the vehicle 3 weeks ago, the touch up on the bonnet where one of the chips where has washed off due to the weather, revealing the base coat and primer. I will have to pay to have the whole bonnet repainted. Also, when my car was getting valleted the other day, it was pointed out to me by the guy doing the valleting that both the off-side door seals were coming away. One was held on with gaffa tape and double sided tape, the other had been glued in places, how this could be missed by their so called 161 point check is beyond me! I called people's yesterday and they have booked the car in to sort the seals out under their 30 day warranty. I will also have to ring them today to get them to look at the bonnet, which is very hard to close. I would advise anybody buying a car from here to go over the vehicle they are looking to purchase in fine detail, and make a note of any repairs needed, and get them signed by the salesperson, so there can be no misunderstanding at a later date to what was agreed too. I must state, that to date Darren the sales manager as been quite understanding with the issues I've raised. I will update this review given any changes regarding my car. This company has very, very poor after sales. The cars are not inspected properly prior to sales. You have been warned. Go somewhere else.

I agree with the review regarding the cars are not inspected, if my car would have been inspected there is no way they could have missed the door seals, and bonnet being difficult to close.

Other services offered on site include servicing, MOT's, motability and privilege schemes. According to the website this particular branch of the Peoples Cars Group is open 7 days a week.
