Purchased a 6 month old car from Peter Vardy car store Hillington. Saw the car online and enquired about a test drive. Had a few chats back and forth before going over and got the impression that no one knows what the other is doing, lots of miscommunication. I stupidly put that down to Covid and gave them the benefit of the doubt. Went over and test drove car was happy but there was a scuff on mirror but salesman said he would get that seen to, i reminded him on a few more occasions after I decided to purchase the car and he assured me they would deal with it. Wanted car delivered as it says on website free delivery under 30 miles, they told me it was 10 miles and since I was 12 miles away would have to pay for delivery. I came home and transferred the cash for the 6 month old car and then checked the website, it says free delivery under 30 miles so I said I was not paying for delivery... After paying for the car 4 days before delivery a received more than 1 call asking me to pay for the car.... when it was delivered the wing mirror hadn’t been touched and the inside wasn’t cleaned very well and to my disappointment there was no Ford portfolio in the car, which would include service document, warranty certificate, breakdown cover for first year and the manual telling you how everything works.... I called the salesman who sold us it who said would look into it and call back, he never. The next day I called 3 separate times to inquire the whereabouts of these documents and not one person called me back. I was fuming to say the least, having just spent a lot of cash with them no one has the decency to return my call. I eventually got someone at the end of day who just said it must have come in without them. It’s a 6 month old car.... the first thing you are asked when trading in a car is if you have these documents so why wasn’t this done. Also stated beside the online advert for my car 1 years free servicing when I enquired about this was told it’s only if you take finance.... no place near this advert did it say this so makes it look like you get free servicing for a year.... The lack of customer service and lack of Ford portfolio on a nearly new car was unacceptable and I have had to at my own expense order new copies. Their website is full of misinformation and spelling mistakes which just shows what a shoddy outfit they are. Never dealing with them again, have had better customer service buying a £30 jumper..... Shame on you.....

I bought a Renault Clio from Peter Vardy Hillington & I have never been so disappointed. Firstly I picked the car up and it had not been cleaned at all despite being told they have given it a full valet. It was dirty inside and there were old receipts from the previous owner from 2018. There were also documents from the previous owner confirming their full name, home address, contact number & email address which is a breach of GDPR. I emailed the branch manager advising of these documents however it was overlooked and there was no acknowledgement. As soon as I drove the car home I noticed a couple of issues with the car so I emailed my sales advisor to make them aware of this. I was advised to bring the car in so they could have a look then to be told I need to book an appointment for it to be seen by the technicians as they agreed there was a fault. Brought the car in December and the next available appointment was mid January, no curtesy car was provided as they had non available until the end of Feb? When the car was with the technician I got a call from the after sales team who advised there were no issues with the car and I can collect it... I advised there is a couple of issues and they were adamant they done all the checks required so advised I need them to look at this again or I will need to seek legal advice as I have been sold a faulty car, surprisingly 2 hours later they had managed to identify the issues and I was advised there was a loose part underneath the car which the technician had said it was all fine the first time they called me. They have now booked me in with Renault themselves to rectify the issue I’m having with my media system. All these issues should have been sorted before giving the car back to me. Peter Vardy do not seem to take any responsibility at all for anything so I would avoid at any cost!!! 100% will be taking this further as the staff I have dealt with so far are just rude & don’t seem to care.

Bought a car from them (car store glasgow) 7 years ago and after a month or two i find out that the car was after serious CRASH, went to them and they didnt offer any solution what so ever. Avoid if u can. If you really want to buy the car from them then do not believe in any checks they have. Make sure the car is whole 100% yourself. Beware

Had to call out RAC for flat battery after a few weeks of purchasing car. Was booked in to get checked over but due to COVID had to cancel and a few days later it happened again. As this was Xmas eve I couldn't get through but logged a text chat where I was told someone from customer services would call me back. Called out Dad yesterday and had to buy a new battery at a cost of £215. Car starts as sharp as anything now whereas before it was sluggish. Called Peter hardy today to tell them and to ask for refund as it was within the 3 month warranty period to be good not covered for bettery. Absolute joke especially as it had happened previously after only a few weeks of having car. Clearly not checking battery before selling cars. Avoid at all costs as knowing but from them again and neither will anyone in my family. Aftercare and customer service is everything when buying a car and to get sold one with a dodgy battery is not on!

On the actual day of buying the car you are met at the door by salesmen, very polite and very helpfully at all pushy, the salesman I seen was Chris Mitchell, who immediately knee exactly what car I was talking about that I had seen on line, he got the keys and was extremely knowledgeable about the car and the make of car. Sorted out a deal fast with his sales manager also very nice and pleasant to talk to. I felt important to them as a customer from.start to finish and a definite 5 star service.

Dealer registered vehicle in wrong name despite being specifically advised of correct details This was relaid toPeter Vardy Without response DVLA now require confirmation letter of their error Requested return phone call re this matter Still waiting
KEEP CLEAR Phone calls and emails ignored very poor after sales service. Car registered in wrong name
Where do I begin? I collected my new car on 11th of July, I had set up a finance agreement through a third party and thought everything was in place. David Fyffe, the salesman from the Dundee branch called me the night before to “get some details for the handover” which I later discovered was an E-sign for a finance agreement which he had set up and had completely ignored the fact I had already arranged this by myself (sneaky and fraudulent right?) Collected the car, discovered what had happened, I called their branch almost every day for over a week and got absolutely no where. I eventually contacted customer services through email who had a manager contact me, It took a month to rectify this issue and only after I made several complaints to the finance company about the unscrupulous tactics of the salesman that the situation was resolved. If I hadn’t contacted the finance company I would still be calling and emailing peter vardy today! The Car is currently in the hillington branch to have the wheels refurbed as stevie wonder painted them and the salesman curbed one at the handover, Its also having 2 small dents and some scuffs repaired. They’ve had the car for 2 weeks, I’ve been contacted twice now to collect the car, the first time was last friday 11/09, wheels were badly refurbished and nothing else was repaired, the second time was yesterday 18/09, the dents were fixed, the scuffs weren’t and again the guy who paints the wheels let his guide dog do the job, plus a nice big chip on the drivers door! Both times I went to collect the car I was told on the phone it had been thoroughly inspected and was perfect. Theres a lot more to what had happened over the past few months with this company but these are just the main points, avoid at all costs, save yourself the hassle and spend your money elsewhere.
