Hi bought a RS3 from Phantom Motor Company just over 3 weeks ago, its the best car I've owned to date, this garage are really helpful, they arranged my finance, dealt with my Part exchange and transferred my private reg, My Dad has bought his last 3 cars from them, while we were in the showroom there was a family buying a Ferrari at 250k, now you don't see that every day!! keep up the great service and i will be back for a 458 when I've saved enough. Jaguar XF good looking car - drove 260 miles to see it, just been MOT'd and had 4 used tyres fitted and rear brake caliper "Repaired" Car drove home okay if a little shaky on the wheel balancing and uneven braking after a couple of hours driving,. took car to have wheels balanced, told tyres dangerous and they would not balance due to tread split and worn through on inner edges, frightening to look at (kept the photos) 4 x new tyres £600+ Brakes binding so car in to my local service garage for service and inspection. brake calipers all painted black ?? including the seized one that had a piston replaced but the parking brake section was the problem, so not "fixed" another £90+. so for a car that had been MOT'd AND REPAIRED = pretty dubious workshop practice ? And as in common with most reviews for Phantom, when I email for their response to sending me away in a car with dangerous tyres and badly repaired brakes - YEP YOU GUESSED IT = No response ! 4 x weeks and 260 miles away - I have paid the bills and accept its not worth my time to pursue it, but feel I must warn other potential buyers, that perhaps it may be better to look elsewhere if you want a genuine service Or if you really want the car - use the AA/RAC inspection service,, as they will help with the future problems when they arise, its not overly expensive and I wished I had done it. I notice Phantom respond to the very few favourable reviews on this site but very rarely to the unfavourable,which seem to form the majority also notice that Very few of the good reviews are "Verified" ????

Ok folk's i had recently given phantom motor company an excellent review which completely contradicted other reviews i had read on here, however i have had to now review my review as when i bought this range rover sport i was told it came with 3 months warranty and 4 four weeks ago it developed a few faults, i contacted phantom motor company and they told me they would be in touch i waited a week having had no response from them i contacted them again only to be advised they had already paid an invoice on this vehicle,which was 3 weeks after i bought it. just so you are all aware i invoiced them for flexible brake pipes which were seriously corroded and should never had passed the mot that it passed the day i bought it from them. i did not invoice for labor cost as i carried out the repair myself which i think was more than reasonable considering the fact the hoses were at bursting point, before finding this out i had driven the car with my twin babies on board. your fluckin lucky guys the pipes didn't burst !!!!! handbrake that was repaired for mot doesn't work !! handbrake light stays on after key removed and handbrake doesn't hold !! wheel bearing front left is totally gone and bottom arms bushes have excessive movement in them rear brake lines have cable ties holding them and engine smokes like fluck when i accelerate service record mileage doesn't tally up with dvla mileage records. guys you had your chance to put this right for no more than cost of parts which is very fair in my eyes but it has now been 4 weeks since i first contacted you regarding these issues still no resolution. my next step is to report the mot station that you used to vosa and contact finance company regarding the repairs needing done to my car which IS still under warranty sorry guys once again you had your chance !!

That's their preferred after sales service - just ignore you. I contacted by an email address that they used to arrange my viewing etc but some how nobody seems to have received it or replied. Would I use again - NO. and the wine was dressed up basic house :(

I wish I had found some of the bad reviews before I tried to buy a car from Phantom. The ones I saw were all good so thought I was dealing with a reputable car dealership. I saw a late model Jaguar on there site and it suited my requirements. As I was purchasing online I had to rely on communication from them and a RAC report. The RAC report identified multiple problems and not to buy unless they were remedied. I had paid 500 GBP to hold prior to inspection. Rang and talked to Gary he said no trouble will put it through workshop to get it up to standard. I emailed Cole and asked to be kept informed of what was being done and to email copy of service history that car was advertised with. No response. Emailed Gary as well but nothing I had to ring them and then only found out from Gary that it would be ready and ring next week. I again asked for service report he promised to email within the hour, nothing. When I rang a week later he said it was ready to go, I again asked him to email what work they had done and the service history he said he would. Nothing. I rang back a week later and cancelled the purchse as only info l had was what was advertised and the RAC report. Asked for the 500 back but they want to keep it to pay for the cost of repairs that they may or may not have done. Over the period of six weeks or more that this took the car was still fully advertised on Ebay and Pistonheads. BE WARNED
Brought car recently very helpful untill theyve got your money. As soon as something goes wrong then they dont want to know. Very changeable sales person once sale is done.

Bought range rover for my daughter came with a few teething troubles. Bit like a new car. They came out immediately took it back fixed it. Gave my lass a bottle of champagne..she gave them a big hug and now I'm going to buy one from them myself. I can honestly say prior I had never met any of them before..ive been driving 50 odd years..dam good set of lads terry dodd ....hollys dad

Not sure if they are unprofessional, incompetent, or just greedy. I drove from Manchester to Wigan to see a Polo they advertised last Thursday. They (Wayne) agreed some work needing doing – damaged windscreen and dent to wing. They suggested I claim for windscreen damage repair on MY insurance as this would be cheaper (which I wouldn’t do - maybe fraudulent) We agreed they would do the work and then I would come over again to check happy with the repairs, then I would buy. They didn’t ask for deposit – but said they would call me car back when car back from repairers. I called them Friday, and they said car still away for repair, and would call me when back with them. Heard nothing, so called them on Tuesday to be told car was sold to someone else they day before! Wayne apologised, but said it’s sold and gone, he was not in on Monday and “no-one looked in his book”. I am not sure if they ever did the work, or just managed to sell it to someone who took it as it stood. So would I recommend, NO.
Ok where do I start? First of all I would like my review to be anonymous ... But they require a email so I'm just going to send a friends!!!! I went to look at a car at phantom motors with my husband and daughter the whole attitude was... Slightly dodgy.. Nothing like going to a Range Rover dealership or a Mercedes dealership neither a Audi dealership,after seeing a car that I really loved and could afford I made a purchase I did feel honestly like they were a bunch of dodgy dealers with attitude tbh but we went and paid in full even though they said we were slightly short of the amount (even though I paid with cash that I had counted 10 times earlier that morning!!!) When they arrived with all my documents they asked if they wanted me to let them mot the vehicle so I agreed however there we a issue with a cover underneath but according to the sales rep this was normal ?! I should of queried it really! When leaving after purchasing there was a light on my dashboard so I asked them to have a look,the gent said it might be to do with there fuel?? I drove my new purchase away to find a week later the light had not gone out (it was an emissions light, when driving back to Wigan to sort the problem out I overheard the "boss" say on his phone "don't just fix the dash board light"!!!!! I just listened and drove off hoping all would be well... What can I say not so long later but out of warranty I need a new gearbox estimated at £1.500 my family are gutted and feel that yes it could just be a coincidence but also feel that these guys are dodgy and should not be trusted!!! Please do your home work we didn't!!!!
Avoid!! After numerous calls with different questions about the car all seemed well I decided to travel 120 miles to view it. Car drove as it should then key wouldn't come out of dash sales said there's a nack to it. Then we issues with the gearbox but was told it would be sorted when I was to pick up the car. So on the understanding that the jobs would be done before pick up I decided to go through with the deal during this they told me there was a mistake on the price and was going to cost me £2000 more!! Wen I refused to pay the new price They fobbed me off and told me they'd call in around 2 hrs with a solution. I had no answer so decided to call them they where very rude on the phone and said I could have it for £290 below new price. They are all fine and polite when they think they'll get a sale from you but soon change. I got off lightly looking at other reviews. Do your home work look at the reviews like I should have.
