I’ve been changing my car regularly for over 30 years and can honestly say this is the worst buying experience I’ve ever had - they lied about service history ,and gave me a complete run around, they then went on to advertise the car I px, with wrong facts about mileage and equipment etc - avoid at all costs - never again- believe me I never normally complain about anything
Bought my car sometime around the end of March. Found the car I wanted through my Credit Union and got it financed. Called Phantom Motor Company prior to see if the car was still available, test drived it, and got it the very moment it was available without hesitation. The experience was actually pleasant and they made me feel at home. I haven't had any issues with this business and I would recommend.
Went to go seek a car I saw online and was helped by Mike. Let me tell you best service I've had in a while. He was very helpful and very kind. Took the time to answer any questions I had. I bought a BMW Alpina in August of 2018 and i’m so disappointed it’s taken until now to get my head around MD Mr Cole’s after sales problem resolving! First of all, the car’s service history was digital and when I did get a little bit of info from them later, it said that a wheel nut was missing during a Halfords check and yes it was still missing when I took the cover off, Phantom had the wheels off for refurbishment and then put the wheels back on, minus wheel stud again. There was also a large cut in the one tyre, filled in with tyre black. This car is a 170MPH machine, I had to buy a pair of new rear tyres as it was damn right dangerous. Due to the improper wheel refurbishment, this has caused flaking of the lacquer on refurbishment, because that hadn’t taken correctly. This issue has also resulted in all 4 tyres constantly loosing pressure, with the air leaking on the bead. The original advert stated that the car had been serviced, and within the first week of purchase, the service light lit up, so I had to pay to get it serviced. There were also two Alpina centre pieces that possess locking devices that have been damaged due to Phantom/Halfords being incapable of removing the centre pieces correctly. It seems apparent that they had tried to force the centre pieces off the wheel, causing damage to the centre pieces themselves, and replacing them will result in a further personal cost of at least £100 each. To ensure that the car was done right, I contacted Mr Cole with all my concerns and he said that he would sort it when got back from his Holiday, but didn’t, ignoring all of my emails and phone calls but always said in his later response, “I did call them but they didn’t answer.” We do have an answer phone! So up to this current date, I’ve completed all jobs myself, except for the needed wheel refurbishment. The car cost me over £29,000 on the day, and I had to spend over £600 on the jobs. The wheels will cost me £50 each to get redone, the lacquer is flaking off all the wheels now, what a shame it has spoilt my dream car experience! So Mr Cole if you, IF YOU do the right thing, I will update the people reading this!

My first time buying a new car had no idea what I was doing not even from Wigan my mom found this dealer online. I went after work Mike was coming out (leaving for the day) but he helped me and didn't leave until I got into my new car! Do not buy from phantom motor company. On the front of if they seem like a really nice and decent company but when something is wrong they don’t care about the customer once you have left
