After so much adverse publicity Pontins in Banbury have received, I thought I would write something positive. I saw the car I wanted on their website via Auto Trader and phoned them up explaining my situation, that I could get to Banbury by train and if they could pick me up from the station, which was agreed. I saw the car and was told I could not test drive it that day, but they could bring it to me in Eynsham to test drive when it was ready. So I left them a deposit and a few days later it was brought over for me to drive. The car drove very well so decided to have it. Everything was finalised a few days later and I arranged to pick the car up, once again I was picked and taken to them. After having the car for a few days it developed a fault and has gone back to them to rectify, they have lent me a car whilst the fault is being fixed. The car in question is a Jaguar S Type SE 2.7 Diesel. I cannot thank Steve and team enough for all they have done for me. Well done Pontins and thank-you.

I would not recommend to anyone do not touch with a barge pole rude nasty lies lies you do not get what you pay for you get worse, they call it money grabbing ???????/ Nice til they get your money after care none you are told to p?? o?? or i'm not dealing with that at least Robin hood took from the rich and gave to the poor this man takes from the poor and lines has own pockets promising mot service nice working order NOT? PLEASE IF YOU GOING TO BUY A CAR? YOU HAVE TO BE AWARE IT IS NOT WHAT THEY SAY. GOOD LUCK IF YOU BUY FROM HIM, YOU WILL NEED IT.

I bought a used car from Pontings which they bought at auction and luckily it has turned out to be a good, reliable car. Having test driven it and left a deposit, they promised that it would be fully cleaned and serviced but when I went to collect it the salesman I had dealt with wasn't there so they basically gave me the keys and left me to it. I realised when I got home and had a closer look that they hadn't laid a finger on it - it was exactly as it was when I had driven it which was the condition they bought it at auction. I had a local, trustworthy garage inspect it to see if it had been serviced and there was no evidence at all that it had been. They also said that they wouldn't have passed one of the tyres for MOT but this had passed at wherever they had had it MOT'd. I took it back and they did an oil change (or said so at least - I have no way of knowing). In short, this is a car dealership that cannot be trusted and I would avoid them at all costs.

After buying 3 cars of them and I have just got my 4th, I must tell everyone I'm never again going back to Pontings Banbury. 1. When went to a drive test the car had a flat tire bought the car came with that same tire flat. 2. They didn't want to sell the car with 1 year MOT (pathetic). 3. The car was sold to me with no tax..even know it was told that the car would come taxed (sales man never said to me but when i pick up the car was told by the person there the car is 100% taxed just to find out it wasn't) when rang them was told no one ever told me the car was taxed...4' car was not clean inside or outside...just about the tyre again, I was told the tyres don't come with warranty.

Fantastic garage in the whole. Had a couple of issues with the car which they tried to ignore but was under warranty. Could be a little more customer focus after the sale but generally a pleasure to do business with.
