Drove down from durham to pick a car up that was in excellent condition...ERM IT WASN'T....wasn't allowed a test drive drove the car 7 miles down the road stopped at a garage and that's where I stayed for the next 5 hours because the key had been GLUED and the spare key was broken .POOLSTOCK CARS didn't even come to us to see if we were ok (2 DISABLED PEOPLE) then told me I couldn't have my money back unless the car was on their forecourt. ERM HELLO THE KEYS ARE BROKEN DO YOU WANT 2 DISABLED PEOPLE TO PUS H THE CAR ...also asked if there were any lights on the dash board the answer was no ...you guessed it YES THEY LIED ....PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY IT'S RUN BY COWBOYS AND YOU'LL BUY A SHED AND THEY HAVE ABSOLUTELY NO REMORSE

I purchased a citreon c4 last week from poolstock car sales. It developed a mjor problem with the engine.stewy was very helpful and he agreed to have the car looked at at M6 autos in wigan.they said it was fixed . The car developed the same problem the next day. I took it to an independent. Garage in liverpool. Who diagnosed the problem at further expense to me. I took the car back and got a refund On the vehicle. Stewy was very helpful , but i think they need to be honest about the cars they are selling. It cost me extra money time . Be honest in future poolestock you will get more customers.

Absolutely shocking car. Rubbish and rude service. They had it for weeks on end on multiple occasions supposedly sent it to experts "brake fault" on the screen and stuttering turns out the electric handbrake had locked the back wheel on (which is what I said it was from day 1) said they could extend the warranty to help but the warranty is useless it won't cover it and doesn't seem to cover anything tbh from the laundry list of issues we've had. Most garages when I ask if they work for them (after the warranty company recommends them!) they say no because they don't end up paying them. The garage weren't interested now we've finally got to the bottom of the fault so they've had me and my pregnant wife driving around in what the mechanic has described as a dangerous car. This fault has been there since the day I collected the car. It had an MOT that day so would love to know who tested it must have been Stevie Wonder... AVOID AVOID AVOID.

I bought a Citroen Xsara Picasso from here for £1500. Looked and sounded good, but one of the wing mirrors needed fixing. They told me they would put new MOT on it and would re-bond the mirror. I picked the car up and when I got it home I noticed that there was a really untidy black painted weld on the sill and the wing mirror had a screw in it to secure! I paid £200 to have the weld sorted out, because it was such a bad job. I have now put the car in for a service and it's going to cost me another £900 for additional work. I've had the car a month! I haven't even got the log book yet and it's cost me almost as much as I paid for the car in repairs. Do not buy from here unless you know something about cars and have gone over every inch of it.

Took the girlfriends son to see a car 1 week ago which he ultimately put a £200 deposit on. We advised that he is in the military and is awaiting some inheritance money to be transferred to him. We agreed with the sales rep that they would hold the car for 3 weeks but if that time period lapsed or he changed his mind, he would lose his deposit. Paperwork (contract) was signed. Fast forward 1 week and the girlfriend receives a call from the ‘owner’ whilst she is at work advising that they want to break the contract as they are a small business and have had 3 cash buyers come to look at the car and they now want to sell the car rather than wait 3 weeks. As you can understand the girlfriend was a little upset at this news and the ‘owner’ was let’s say a ‘little rude at delivering the news‘ to her. So understandably he got a mouthful back! I’ve just been to the dealership and spoke to a sales rep to explain what has happened - and guess what - he was none the wiser! All while the ‘owner’ skulked about In the background totally ignoring and not even acknowledging the fact that I’m on his forecourt having my say at his staff! What an utterly pathetic waste of oxygen this ‘business owner’ is!

I paid £1,900 for a Citroen c3 sold as only 1owner from the start had a problem with gears so stiff I pulled my shoulder out using them took the car back problem sorted or so I thought ,after about a week driving to work NHS wich is only a mile from my home the car just stopped which isn't good when you're a female alone at 2am,this happened quite a lot took car to a trusted mechanic paid £200 to fix ,didn't feel safe after that so decided to get rid of the car ,as I still hadn't received my log book I phoned poolstock who said they would buy the car back so I agreed they offered me £750 i accepted just to get rid of the pile of junk ,but now they have the car back on their website for sale again at just under £2,000 so basically they have ripped me off by about a thousand pounds a hard working 64 year old with little money to spare .so please if you value your honest earnings avoid this place.

Worst experience I've ever had in buying a car!! Bought a Vauxhall astra from here for just under £2000. Within 6 weeks the clutch packed in. Rang them up and was told the warranty doesn't cover the clutch, the guy I spoke to also had a really bad attitude, cost me £700 to have a new one fitted. A few weeks after this the traction control light kept coming on and the car was losing power. This still is not fixed. Sometimes it goes off again and the car is fine, so still haven't had this repaired. Anyway managed to get a year out of this car (miracle) and just put it through an MOT. Had 4 major fails and multiple advisories. One of them was emissions. They are so high the car was almost a write off! I've now got till next week to get these emissions down or the car is a write off. If I can get the emissions down it will cost me around £400 plus to get it through the MOT which would fail badly again if by some miracle I managed to get another year out of it.. I dont know much about cars and have been ripped off before, and will probably be ripped off again. But this is by far the worst experience I've had. If you show interest there very freindly eith you. But if you dont, or want time to think about it, they get an attitude with you. And remember the 3 month warranty they give wont cover clutch! These good reviews on here are fake, probably written by the owners themselves. Dont make the same mistake I made Go elsewhere for your car!!!

Bought an Astra from them in October 2019 and after a day of ownership the oil light came on. The car was taken to a mechanic to has serviced my cars for many years and was told that the bearing shells had started to disintegrate despite the car only having 66000 miles with a FULL service history. The only cost effective way was to replace the engine because of how the Astra engine is constructed! So I bought the car and had to replace the engine! salesman wasn't interested and not very helpful in the situation. I would not use again! Plus they never sent off my log book as promised and I had to reapply for the log book when it hadn't arrived by January!! nice until they get your money and then they are far from interested!!!!!

Bought a car in September and am delighted with the purchase. I did not quibble with the asking price but opted to request a new MOT certificate on the car instead. Big mistake ! I drove the car home and had it checked over at my usual garage who pointed out several reasons why it should not have been issued with a valid MOT certificate. Whilst I do not blame Poolstock Car Sales for that I have brought the matter to their attention in the sincere hope that they will be more selective in their choice of VOSA registered MOT centres in the future.
