My wife bought a car from Huntingdon Autos car centre. It was delivered to our place. And as we did not have a lot of practice - we bought first practice lessons. We started using the car after the lessons and after a short period, it cut itself on the road. We raised the issue with them; they brought it to their mechanics. They said that they didn't see any faults in car computer. After 2 weeks, we got it back. Unfortunately, the same thing happened. Then the car spent 7 weeks in repair! They claimed to have forwarded it to the Citroen dealer and kind of blamed the dealer for not contacting them - the reason why it took so long 7 weeks. Unfortunately, the car returned, and we did some rounds in our area to check it was working. And it did. But when I went the next time - 3rd time, the same issue appeared. We sent a complaint letter to them, and they did not answer matter-of-factly. They just replied with somebody's phone number without context! Suddenly, when we try to call them - we can't reach them. However, beforehand, they almost always picked up the phone. So I believe that they are ignoring us. BTW, we rode only 95 miles with that car from the bought date to 2nd repair.

Bought a VW Eos for my daughter for £3495 with a 3 month AA Warranty. It broke down 4 days later on the M25. My daughter was terrified. Thankfully we had RAC cover and they said the clutch had gone. I emailed and phoned Huntingdon Autos and initially they agreed to repair the car. However they said they wanted me to get the car back to them as they didn’t have a tow truck. The cost for that was £210 and I said they needed to cover that cost not me. When they refused to pay that we mutually agreed to get the clutch fixed locally to me and they would cover the cost. I did that and the bill was £500. They then said they were only prepared to cover £200 of the bill. I refused that as they needed to cover the full cost of the repair. Since then they have ignored all my emails, letters and phone calls. I have reported them to Trading Standards as under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 they are legally obliged to ‘repair, replace or refund’ the car within 30 days of purchase. Do NOT buy from these people as they are unscrupulous crooks and simply disappear when anything goes wrong.

I'm not sure if this set up still belongs to the people who use to call them self's Sawtry Way Cars, this is the same sight and the same porter cabin, with a desc on the left with a large built man behind the desc, to the right is a door that leads to the staff canteen where I can only describe as 6 Indian or Pacistani - Asian car cleaners etc hang out. When my friend went there about 5 years ago they sold her a black vauxhall corsa (automatic) they said it was ex mobility low milage about 38,000 miles, she paid £3,800. Subsequently door locking became temperamental ( common fault ) they had the car back and obviously just wriggled the connector block as it played up again several weeks later. Then the engine started boiling up, the car was taken to a main dealer who pointed out the head gasket had gone, and they were very dubious about the millage, as the service book hadn't been filled out by a Vauxhall Main Dealership, but back street type garages. After doing a full check on the car at a vauxhall Dealership it was found that the Milage was some 75,000 miles out. And as an automatic doesn't normally blow head gaskets like a young teenager in a Manual Gear Box car ? Everything started to raise concerns, when they went back they got shrift treatment as women , infact 2 black ( old shape ) BMW'S full of Aisians ? From this site followed them most of the way home to frighten them off. I believe the Asians came from the OXmoor Estate at Huntingdon. The car was repaired and sold on at a Financial loss. The only other thing I can say is there was a car repair workshop further down the road in a farm building on the right, the sawtry way site was spit into several dealers, I have noticed this site registerd as " Marque 1 car sales" , " "Huntingdon Autos" and " JRH IMPORTS LTD". Just like before lots of small LTD companies posably owned by the same people but trading separately. Its Conserning that thease businesses are registerd to a mobile porta cabin ? And the telephone number, or a mobile phone number so you cannot trace thease people, as LTD companies im somewhat surprised JRH proport to be AA endorsed or vehicles checked by AA ? Infact on companies House they are a small exempt business due to low turn over ? Or they don't declare it all to the Tax Man ? 6 officers in recent years for JRH IMPORTS Ltd and 5 Resignations ? Why would a small Ltd business registerd at " Potters Bar in Hertfordshire EN61HS, sell cars at Sawtry Way . Huntingdon.? Its all too fishy and complicated! Just check the MOT'S if they were done at Warboys Clock Garage id keep looking for a car elsewhere. I mean no offence to anyone but my friends experience of the Con Men Rogue Car Sales People who were here several years ago definitely need Avoiding if its still them trading under new names. Just be very careful buying cars from this Sawtry Way site

Dont buy a car from these thieves! They sold us a complete shit heap that was unsafe to drive! We bought a car in good faith from Huntingdon Autos we thought that buying from a dealer would be safer than private sales then to be sold a car for £4k then when taking delivery off the transporter to start with a dashboard lighting up like a christmas tree with faults! 1st being no coolant and the cap has been superglued in place, then and having to spend £3500 on work making it safe to drive! They was no help when we called to complain and they denied to everything we found wrong with our so called new car. We will never buy a car from this company again and we will continue to tell everyone we speak to about buying a car the bad experience we had with Huntingdon Autos.

"I was lied to."

Salesmen at Huntingdon Autos were friendly and helpful I thought (my first experience of buying a car through a dealer) but having agreed to look at my car for a possible trade in they then proceeded to lie to me. They stated they wouldn’t be able to sell my car as the mileage was too high (at 211, 000 it was high but I had told them that previously) and that they would offer me £100 as they would have to scrap it. I was surprised to hear this as the car was mechanically sound and well maintained. However as we had driven some distanc to view a car which I wished to purchase, we accepted their offer with sadness and their (false) apologies! Checked their website two days later and surprise surprise the ‘only good for scrap’ car was up for sale for £995. The car I bought I am happy with although it is missing some parts to use the tyre weld, and they didn’t have the locking wheel nut so had to take it to their ‘tame’ garage to drill out the lock nuts! Have only had it a couple of days so hopefully no hidden problems will arise. Liars and cheats, I will never buy another car from these fraudsters again and I will ensure I advise everyone I know to avoid them. Very disappointed.

DO NOT BUY FROM HUNTINGDON AUTOS!! After forking out after having a baby on our family car for it to constantly break down and them not being reliable or helpful when it came to fixing the problem. It’s fine if you get a good working car but they sold it to us knowing it was duff! Loosing out on £5,000 and having to find another family car which is an expense after having a baby that we didn’t need! They will dodge your calls if you have a problem and make excuses or tell you they “fixed it” when they actually will do a bodge job to last until your warranty is over. Really don’t want this to happen to anyone else as it’s caused a lot of stress and strain on my family!!!!!! I don’t usually bother with writing reviews But as I said I really just really don’t want this to happen to anyone else.

I found the sales team at Huntingdon Autos very helpful with the process of purchasing my first car. All details were explained fully and a unforeseen mechanical problem (not covered in the warranty) within the first month was repaired quickly and without fuss.
