Great car company I saw the car I bought online was worried it would be sold by the time view it gave them a call and they reserved the car for minimal amount with money back if didn’t like kept me up to date all through purchase stat as car had to be prepared excellent customer service would recommend
Where do I start. Firstly, taking into account Covid19 and the distance I live from Quirks I relied on Chris to be up front and honest with me. The car I bought a C -Class Coupe 220 CDI AMG Sports Plus came without the AMG mats, in fact it had no mats at all. When I questioned Chris about this he said he never sells a car with mats. Cars do not come with mats. A new one me as I have never bought a new or second hand car without them. I never heard a more persistent man bulshit so much with so many excuses about the mats or anything for that matter. I got so fed up with him promising to come back to me that I gave up, always me contacting him. Secondly despite me giving him over a week to prep the car and get the documents in order when I turned up they were not, no V5 which means no tax. Don't worry says Chris I'm ex police you have a weeks grace, your V5 will be here tomorrow, I will send it on to you. Guess what never arrived and yes you guessed it I had to chase him every day till I got fed up. I googled the law on tax and low and behold I should not have left the garage without tax as I would be liable to a fine (or worse) if stopped. Consequently some four days after I bought the car I was driving illegally so I immediately contacted Chris very unhappy that he put me in that position. To cut a long story short he had to tax the car online for me as I did not have the correct information to do so. (Note to self, never trust a car salesman always check your facts). Thirdly, the car came with refurbished Alloys and brand new tyres (cheap ones but new). Since I drove the car home back in May 2020 the car has had a vibration on the front generally at speed. As I only drive locally at the moment and rarely use the motorway it wasn't so much of an issue for me until yesterday when the tyre pressure warning light came on. I took it to a tyre expert who advised that whoever had fitted the tyres had done it incorrectly. They rims on the front are 8" and 8.5" on the rear. However, the fitter had put an 8" and 8.5" rim on the front and the same on the back. The balance was out and there was excessive weights on the rims. Also the rims hadn't been cleaned properly which led to the rubber building up and eventually air leaking. Not very professional and also it doesn't instill confidence in the other checks they were supposed to have done. My philosophy on tyres is quite simple buy the best that you can afford as contact between the tyre and the road is critical for safety. So off came the premium budget tyres and on went the Michelin Cross Climates. What a difference, no vibration, no sliding and superb grip. In conclusion my experience with Quirks wasn't a good one and I wouldn't recommend them. I bought this car back in May 2020 and it's now October 2020. I couldn't be bothered to write a review or contact Quirks at the time as I was sick of Chris's constant bullshit and unwillingness to help so I left it but today was the last straw. He does not listen and just wares you down. I would have thought that safety would have been of paramount importance when selling cars but what do I know.
Please be very careful dealing with Quirks Car Company. They lied in the advert stating it had leather interior when it was actually rubber seat cover that could have come out of a lucky bag. Pictures taken of the cars are taken at angles to hide damage. I travelled over 2.5 hours to see a Transporter that I asked repeatedly about. I was told it's very tidy. On arrival I waited half an hour because it was being Valeted, when it finally arrived it wasnt even clean. It had dust all over the dash and marks everywhere on the bodywork I thought nevermind it's going to get dirty on the drive back. Then after looking around the van noticed scuffs and LACQUER PEELING off the bumper, holes in the dashboard. I was at the time very fed up and I asked for a £250 discount which I am know glad they refuse as I write this I realise I got off lightly. I did how manage to argue a refund of the deposit and £50 for the fuel. P.s reviews on Auto trader and other selling sites are only left by customers who are invited and have bought off the seller. So if like me you had your time wasted tou dont get to leave a review I just wonder what would have been like once they had my money
We visited quirks car company and what a great garage to deal with, friendly staff and good customer service throughout. We dealt with chris on site, he took my partners car as part ex and offered a very fair price for it. Highly recommended and would definitely buy another car from them.

I visited quirks originally to look at a Audi rs6 however a Nissan GT-R caught my eye while I was there.I dealt with a young man called Lewis who was excellent he’s knowledge and attitude was so refreshing to find as to be honest in the past I’ve found car dealers to all be the same full of rubbish and pushy. He gave me a fair price for my trade in and I’m over the moon with my new car.I will defiantly be using qcc again as they have done everything they said they would do and more.I have already recommended them to one of my pals who is going to be contacting them about an m5 they have there.so thanks for all your help chaps. Ross is the guy to speak to had a couple of minor issues on a bentlet gt speed I bought straight on the phone to me no quibble and sorted the issue out would recommend thanks
Jimmy and the team at Quirks made the process of buying a car very easy and stress free. Jimmy made sure things not quite right with the car on initial viewing were put right when I collect it. When I had an engine problem with the car, Jimmy arranged for it be be collected, rectified and returned to me quickly. I would recommend Quirks if you want to buy a car with no hassle.
I went to this quirks car company dealership in wichford Essex the man Chris was helpful and sweet talking at first he promised to put 2 new wheels on the car as they had problems from inside and there was a knocking noise from the car which he also promised to fix but than after the deposit Is payed he was rude and un helpful when I got home I realise the wheels they changed wasn't new they was refurbished with 2 nails in them he was rude on the phone to me and nothing has been done what he said he would do the worst rudest company I have ever been to I bought a black BMW 2011 car.

I am very sorry to see this bad review, we take pride in being a fair company who do straight forward business. When the vehicle was put through our workshops the car was thoroughly inspected by our highly experienced workshop technician and no evidence of play or wear was found. The tyres were changed and when the vehicle went through our workshops there were no nails present in the tyres. Having spoken to you previously, it was agreed that the vehicle would be bought back to our workshop so you could explain the noise to our technicians and any issues, if found, would be rectified. Unfortunately you have not yet brought the vehicle back to us and therefore we have not had the opportunity to further address your concerns. Please could you contact us to agree a date for you to return the vehicle for inspection. Thanks.
