Bought a Honda from select cars Southwest , it was a main dealer part Exchange have been very happy with the car had it for over 6 months now recommended to family and friends.

The cars are just bought from auctions or trade ins from main dealers, they pretend to service them ,put on the charm. Totally bullshit, if there is a problem with your car will say they will sort it , you will go multiple times back and forth to them to try to get them to sort the problem out , after a while you give up and pay at a proper garage for problems to be remedied at your expense. You might as well by privately of Joe blogs or off a honest dealer. I would not be at all surprised if good reviews are made up ones from staff and friends. Only saying this to warn other innocent potential buyers before they get had like us.Trade and standards need to investigate

AVOID !! totally misleading sales team , told the car was a perfect example so I traveled 70 miles to find a list as long as your arm of problems. Why couldn’t they be honest in there description they know your turning up. Checked the previous MOT’S and all the problems were still present but there mot passed still with all the previous problems they weren’t even flagged up. And the rest of the cars are super high mileage with a super high price. Do yourself a favour and look elsewhere.

I bought a car from these guys and at first I was impressed with how easy it was and how helpful they were regards delivering it. Granted it was a cheap car and I didn't test drive it but I was in need of a vehicle quickly. They had assured me it was a reliable car so I took their word for it. On driving it for the very first time there was a bad noise coming back from the gearbox so I took it to my local garage and had a report on it to say it was to do with the drive chain and excessive noise and was advised not to drive it.i rang them and they said it was fine when they delivered it but I only had it for an hour when I drove it so I took it back. After some discussion they did agree to refund my money but I was still out of pocket for tge fuel I put in it and the report I had done on it. I know if you buy a used car then you take your chances but I do think the garages shoukd ensure that they are roadworthy especially as I was going to be taking my grandchildren in it. Also I looked on their Web site and the same car is now back on for sale for the exact same price 3 hrs after I returned it . Buyer beware.

Thought I had done a deal on buying a car from Select Cars South West, only to be told on day of collection that part-ex on my vehicle had been reduced. The owner did not apologise for not contacting me, “as his father had been dealing with the sale!!” The owner of the business was rude and arrogant. I will certainly not be dealing with SCSW again!! Wasted my time and theirs. Mind you having read some reviews on here, I may have had a lucky escape!!
