i purchases a car which blew up after 7 weeks due to a major oil leak, i was then supplied with a second hand engine and within 7 days off the new engine being supplied and fitted i took it for a service where i was told who ever fitted this engine would have known if it was run that the timing chain is near enough snapped and it isn't fit for purpose. i was made out to be a liar and i was subsequently told they wouldn't be doing anything and further blocked me off of social media which was where we originally where communicating i have now spoken to trading standards and am processing a claim. i will never recommend anyone to purchase any vehicle from them.

More like best service we got the car back replaced engine out a running car which was try and tested before removal engine was fine also she tried to accuse the garage dinting wing which was already like once picked up also accuse the garage of smashing her window we have a lot of proof this is lies ie warranties 2000 guy we got engine from also guy who fitted engine

very bad experience!! bought a car that is not safe! 1 week ago. used there so called fantastic warranty company that fobbed me off. rang the garage back with my serious problems with clutch and braking system just to be told a load of rubbish. trading standards and money back for us. I advise people to check car properly before purchase as this is where I failed.

Bought a car from this place and I wish I never drove home the oil light and engine management light came on took it to a garage and they told me the head gasket has gone took it back to shotton car ex they took it in said they fixed it but when I got it back and driving home the same thing happened took it to a well known garage and the main dealer both said head gasket and have gave me a report I phoned shotton car ex and they are refusing to fix it and refusing to give money back The only thing I can do now is take them to court to get my money back. THIS IS A SHOCKING CAR COMPANY DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY GO SOMEWHERE YOU WILL GET A GOOD CAR THAT WILL LAST SHOTTONS CARS LOOK NICE AND CLEAN BUT I THINK THEY ARE NOT HOW THEY APPEAR JUDGING ON MY PURCHASE.

Stay away from this company. Not honest at all or decent in their trading. Point blank refused a refund for a car they knew was dodgy.
