Purchased 11 year old Porsche 911 from Sovereign Trading after being assured it was in immaculate condition. Sadly had been in serious accident with substantial damage to both front and back of car. Both bumpers been replaced and bonnet. But poor job with shut lines out of true and colour mismatch (only visible in daylight!). Panel missing behind bonnet. No service book. Managed to get my money back less £1,000 deduction for privilege of having my p/x car returned! Was told I was lucky as most car dealers wouldn't have done this despite Consumer Protection Act. I understand that Sovereign then spent over £1,000 rectifying above faults on Porsche.
Danny Busby from Sovereign Trading Ltd in response to Poor Porsche
We had taken this 911 in p/x from a business man in London against our Ferrari 612 , he said it belong to his brother before him , it looked & drove as well as any other 911 of this age & mileage , deal was done . We had sold it to a customer then over night he took it to a MOT center for them to have a look , they had told him it had paintwork & bumper was out of line , well im yet to see a 911 that hasn't had paintwork of this age ! We arranged with customer to meet at our Porsche garage for a proper inspection , They had it up on ramp for the customer to see that it had had a bumper repair & the plastic inserts were missing , IT HAD NOT BEEN INVOLVED IN A HEAVY COLLISION & NO CHASSIS DAMAGE now that a Porsche approved garaged had got to see it & not a back street MOT station who had brain washed an elderly man in is 70;s , So we then offered a full proper repair with new plastics but the customer declined & wanted his old car back , We had sold his car to another garage , we had to buy the car back from them which cost a further £1k , which was fair enough , we done everything we could , So the end of the story was good , very surprised to here the customer left this review ! What more could we of offered ? Exactly , nothing more , Thank you , Danny.
Very happy , complete confidence buying from Sovereign Trading.
If you are looking for flash showrooms, pushy sales approach, nicely turned out assistants, skinny lattes and croissants, then Sovereign Trading is not for you! However if you are seeking a good quality motor from an honest dealer, then you are in the right space. Hopefully the following will confirm for you . Living in Ireland I had been researching a 2009/10 motor in the UK for some time. I had earmarked one example at Sovereign Trading. Armed with a few examples I travelled to the UK with the intention of purchasing one of them. Having travelled down to Pevensey by train from London I was collect by Danny and his son. To be honest I was taken aback by the ‘showroom’ (which is essentially a farmyard!) and the lack of normal car showroom paraphernalia but the car seemed decent as did Danny ,although he wouldn’t go out of his way to try and charm you! I looked at a couple of other cars in more salubrious surroundings, in the following days but despite my reservations decided to go with the Sovereign car. Having carried out the normal checks I travelled down and was again collected at the station. In chatting thru the 3 month gtee Danny was offering , I indicated to Danny that I would be dependent on his word, as realistically it would be difficult for me to enforce the guarantee once I crossed the Irish sea! Money paid and car in ownership I headed for London, stopping c 15 mins into the journey for diesel and nibbles. When I got back into car, much to my horror, the drivers seat belt would not release, so that I could engage it. Filled with anxiety and annoyance at not noticing, I called Danny, half expecting to be ignored or given the brush off. I needn’t have worried. Danny established where I was and was with me < 20 mins and proceeded to try and resolve the issue. Un fortunately after c 30 mins trying he could only effect a temporary fix to get me on my way, as I was heading home first thing Sunday morning. While Danny was at pains to tell me to get it fixed at home and let him know the cost, I was saying to myself ‘Good luck with that son’ as I reckoned once I was out of the UK, Danny’s interest would wane pretty quickly! How wrong I was! Unfortunately the diagnosis for the seat belt belt was terminal but Danny was good to his word and engaged fully with me. There was lots of toing and froing including Danny purchasing a new part from UK main dealer and shipping to Ireland but it was wrong part and had to be returned. In the end matter was sorted with Danny making a sizeable financial contribution to the purchase and fitting of new belt. I am sure you will agree that this is a testament to Danny and his character, as realistically he did not have to stay involved and could have just stopped taking my calls! I cant thank him enough for his honesty, decency and patience during the process. If I are anyone I know is thinking of purchasing in UK, Danny would be my first port of call. Thank you Danny and Sovereign. Continued: PS I have the car since Oct 1st, driving beautifully and indeed commented on by the NCT (MOT) engineer as being a super car! These guys are not normally prone to such comments. PPS Danny did not ask me to submit this!

Completely trustworthy, purchase a Beetle from them without seeing the car, on their recommendation and had it delivered some 275miles. Danny and Nigel will be very helpful and keep you right.
I recently went to Sovereign to purchase a car I'd seen advertised. Initially I was worried because it was appointment only & the cars were stored in a unit somewhere, not a showroom. I first spoke to Danny on the phone & ended up meeting & dealing with Nigel instead & I thought he was a lovely guy. Any concerns I had disappeared as soon as I saw the car, in perfect condition tucked in the corner. Nigel was instantly chatty, not pushy, very honest, genuine & trustworthy. I've marked low on knowledge purely as the car hadn't been in long & I knew more about it than he, & he freely admitted that, but not to say he doesn't know his stuff. Nigel went out of his way to make sure I could take it that day, taking it for an MOT straight away & taxing it at the same time, happily taking my car in part exchange too. I am very happy with my new car & the service I got - a million times better than having to deal with pushy main dealers! I wouldn't hesitate to go back.
