My husband bought me Fiat 500, for its age it didn’t seem a bad car. We arranged a date to collect the car however this was put back for a couple of weeks as the car was in the workshop. When we finally collected it, it was looking a bit sorry for itself and hadn’t been cleaned either inside or out, I’d have thought during a pandemic, cleaning the car before handing it over would be of importance and compliant with COVID policy, we noted the air con wasn’t working, neither was the rear screen washer, give them their due, we contacted them and the problems were rectified. I’d been on a couple of short journeys and on my return to the car, it wouldn’t start but after 5 mins or so, I’d turn the key and it would go. It only happened intermittently. Then I broke down and had to be recovered, the mechanic noted the wires, connections to the starter motor needed a good clean and once again the car went off for another fix at their garage. All was well for a couple of days and then the same problem of the car not starting on occasions (after it had been running) resurfaced. The car went back again, it had been there a few weeks and we were told it was because it had a finance black box that needed removing. This didn’t really make much sense as it didn’t explain why sometimes it would start but not others. After four weeks we collected the car to be told they couldn’t find anything wrong with it but it had a new driver insurance black box in it that they had removed so maybe that was the problem. Driving the car home I discovered that once again the air conditioning no longer blows out cool air. My faith has been diminished.
Terrible ongoing experience with these guys... Went and collect the car, which had no v5 or service history (which on the phone was told it had part bmw and part bmw specialist service history). They never mentioned anything about a completely rotten wheel arch. on the way home I noticed a grinding noise coming from the rear brakes, this was the hand brake had rotted away and was causing rubbing. They told me to get a quote, after getting the quote they would give any response as to whether to have it repaired or what... 3 days on I told them I'm going to have it repaired and claim it back, as I needed a car for work. The next morning they tell me they want to take it back for repairs (after being fully aware I have had it repaired). This cost me over £1200. 1 day after getting the car back the fuel pump failed on me, leaving me and my daughter stranded in a car park (they weren't interested in this). I've spent over £100 on taxis to work since and had to take emergency holiday due to all this. They have now promised me a courtesy car and let me down on this too. They've now sent £200 as otherwise I would have been unable to get to work anymore as I've exhausted all my savings and investments (once again losing a lot of money for pulling out early). I bought the car on the 30/3/2020 and still have only had the car for 1 whole day in which it wasn't even running right. Buying this car is the biggest mistake I've ever made and really recommend you don't do the same. They use dirty tactics to make you foot the bill and then you'll struggle to get it back. Whenever ringing the dealers they never can make a decision without getting back to you (which I have ended up chasing up everytime). Ask to speak with the director and they'll claim they don't have contact details for them (rubbish). They clearly haven't inspected this vehicle prior to sale and have no interest in helping resolve any of the issues. I will update this regularly for anyone to see how they treat there customers
Bought my daughter a mini from here. Asked them to re-gas air con before we took car, they didn't but said they had. Had to go back after two weeks as was overheating. They did fix that. When aircon didn't work, took it back and they said they would fix - took it to their garage they use at their direction and waited all day for part, they told me I would have to pay for re-gas. When I said no and threatened to take it further they then said they would not do repair and would put the old part back on. Had no choice but to pay for re-gas. Luckily their card machine did not work and only had about 15 cash on me, so they took this. Absolute bullies. Garage they use are shoddy too - the spark plugs they used when doing MOT were all broken. When I got my mechanic to look he wS horrified! Do not buy a car from these absolute cowboys! Rude, arrogant, charlatans. Buyer beware!
I have have two cars from this dealer .and both time there has been no service history .when the advertising says full service history there is only one key and no car manual folder .in fact it come with one key and that was it don’t no if it has a full service or not.when they have your money that’s it they are not interested
Interested in a Saab they had for sale (2018). I am over 100 miles from them so had an AA inspection done. This revealed some faults that would need sorting before purchase. Asked about having a new MOT and service (both needed) as well as faults sorting and never received a response - probably hoping that someone else will buy it who doesn't notice the faults! Complete waste of my time and money. Wish I had seen these reviews earlier.
Horrendous Company, brought a Jeep from them and the Shock absorbers went only to find out that it’s not covered on the warranty! I don’t know where they get there MOT’s done but it’s not the paper it’s written on. My friend is a Mechanic and he informs me that my car shouldn’t of passed it’s MOT. The staff are very rude and just washed their hands of the matter. DONT GO TO Stanground Auto’s

The MOT station we use are an independent company and the customer had bought the car over 3 months ago, the car could have been repaired at cost for the customer, he got very rude and threatening once we pointed out that the warranty had expired
What seemed like a good purchase with friendly smiles turned out to be a death trap of a car. The tyres were worn we accepted that but to get no apology or refund for tyres unfit for purpose is poor Salesmanship. My Son had a blowout at 60mph on the M25 and was lucky as the tyre shredded to pieces. We were told by an AA representative and Ye Corner Tyres in Watford that both front tyres were unfit for purpose. This was 3 days after purchase and we have had no apology and refusal to pay for the £80 cost of tyres. This could have resulted in a major accident.

The customer had bought a £499 part exchange vehicle and was advised that the front tyres would need changing in the near future, obviously a puncture can occur at any time, the customer was offered a full refund for the vehicle if they wanted to return it to us.
I bought a 58 plate civic off Stanground Autos and they are nice guys. But however, wheel arch trim hanging off which they fixed with wrong screws which were too long and pierced a hole in the water bottle which I had to replace because it absolutely stank to high heaven and despite phone calls which they never got back to me after messages left and text and emails within the 3 months warranty they never replied. Which is absolutely ridiculous and I'm out of pocket as needed a new washer bottle and new bolts which were rusted on.
I recently bought a car from Stanground Autos who did mention it had little defects hence why it was so cheap. What they never said was there was also major defects ,we took car back for a full refund which they tried saying they knew nothing about but did, got money back but with a sarcasum remark ,we felt humiliated they were very rude and of towards us .
Poor after service at Stanground Autos, no warranty at all even after a couple of days. Car sold with 3 months warrenty. Beware!
