I bought a car from Stratford City Car Sales last October but unfortunately I did not follow up immediately with a service/check until two weeks ago. I was shocked to discover that the car is a writeoff. Additionally, I also found out that Stratford City Car Sales are now operating out of Ilford under another name. Needless to say I will be taking further action - the statute of limitations for a civil action is 6 years!!

just won a CCJ against Strtford City Cars sales .. they sold me a car that they promised had the additional work needed completed ........ this was false.therefore ileagl under the 1979 Sales of Goods Act.... they have fought proceedings all the way through ...just to delay. i will post another review once i have a conclusion ............i would then advise all people in a similar position to take the same action.

Cars from this dealer are all accident repaired and not finished in a non professional manner. Please inspect the car carefully, I experienced two cars at one time which I had to spend lot of money to make them road worthy.

too shocked to even write down the sequence of events!! The car they sold me had an fuel leak (all over my drive) I brought it to a friend who is a mechanic and he advised immediately to take it bake as there was a multitude of problems. I was not too worried as there was a 14 day cooling off period. When I called them and asked to take the car back they wanted 500 pounds for admin!! I went to the CA and they gave me advice and explained that selling a car with a fuel leak is actually illegal let alone a rip off. When I sited legal action they agreed to fix the fuel leak. They collected my car a week ago and I have heard nothing. WE have just found out that the company has folded. Really not sure what the we should do. Any advice?? As another customer mentioned wish we had read the reviews!
Anyone looking to buy from Farhad....beware. Polite and accommodating at first until you find out that he lied and sold you a faulty car...then you'll get the silent treatment . Pay a bit more and buy elsewhere you will spare yourself the biggest most expensive headache in your life...sadly not even joking.

We gave this dealer £300 deposit for a car. Did a vehicle check and realised the car we wanted to buy was a catd write-off. I rang him to say that he never declared this on the phone to my husband or put on the advert. Fred the name given was most abusive on the phone and proceeded to tell me "CAN YOU NOT READ ENGLISH, you are ignorant". When I rang him again to say I have emailed him the link with advert and can he indicate where it said catd Fred answer was "can you read English now?" He then passed me to speak to a customer and later hang up. Fred did reply my email, and yes in a very tiny font, there was catd indicated. In his email his wording was "when you find where it indicates catd, email back and say sorry". I cannot understand how this Fred can do business. Be warned customers!!VERBALLY ABUSIVE IF YOU QUESTION ANYTHING". STay away
Completely ripped us off, I wish I'd read the reviews beforehand. Did not declare the car a write-off in the advert, on the phone, or in the emails. They took £300 (non-refundable) holding fee, then when we discovered the car had been written off, Fred (apparently that's the guy's name) refused to refund the money, and then continued to insult my wife and I over the phone. We have been so frustrated (and we know we'll never see our money again, but so glad we didn't actually buy the car!), I shall be calling Trading Standards first thing on Monday, but please avoid, avoid, avoid ...

Bunch of arrogant pratts, waste of time to even look at this dealer, they should be in rouge traders! STAY AWAY
I rang the company in the morning and had an appointment at 16:00 in order to see a car. True, I did not mentioned yhat I'll travel 112 miles for that car. I rang again when in London, 5 min away to get more details about place. The man, who answered told me that they not hane the car anymore that somebody put deposit for it 2 days ago... Nobody told me that in the morning. Very off-hand told me if I'm interested in any other car - perhaps this was initial plan, to sell me any other car, even not having the car which I asked for. Extremely unproffessional, careless and not caring. Keep far, far AWAY
