Since 2012 I have been their customer , my X6 40d was serviced by stratstone BMW Hull for 2 years . Then I went on to buy two cars , one factory order X6 M50d, and the next one pre-reg 430 xdrive The sales team were fantastic . I got an excellent deal on a 520d for a friend of mine who came all the way from London to sign the deal and pick up the car . On my recommendation, Another friend of mine ended up buying a 218d right away after the first visit to the dealership . The sales and the service team did their very best . I've had test drives on several cars and I had no problems in arranging them . I have got nothing but good things to say about this dealership.
Recently bought a second hand BMW and noticed a fault, so booked my car into Stratstone Hull BMW to diagnose the fault. Whilst on the telephone, I was informed that there were also 2 manufacturer recalls for my vehicle however the parts would not be available for a further two weeks. I informed the young man that I would have the diagnostics done on this a booking and pending how things went, I would then look at rebook in my BMW for the recall repairs. So having taken my car in yesterday at 9:15, I was disappointed to learn from a phone call at 3pm that all the BMW recall had been done, however they had only just started on my diagnostics, which was the ONLY reason that I had booked my car in. Their team couldn't understand the reason why I was angry that after my car had been with them for over 6 hours, the work that I had taken MY car in for had not been done. They informed me that they were doing me a favour, so when I said, so are you doing the diagnostics for free, their answer was 'No' so I said if your getting paid by the garage that I bought my car from, how can you be doing me a favour. I told them that I was not happy as I had experienced something similar a decade ago when I use to take my BMW to Stratstone Hull, which is why I had not used them for 10 years. On eventually been informed of the fault, I told them that I DID NOT WANT THEM TO CARRY OUT THE WORK ON MY VEHICLE, which they agreed to. So image my suprise when I received an email from the garage where I bought my car, they forwarded on Stratton Hulls email to me, and Stratstone Hull had basically tried to go over my head and asked the garage if they could go ahead and carry out the work on my car, yes my car, despite me telling them that I did not want them to carry out the repair work...who do they think they are
When you pre order a car in time for the new registration you would expect to collect it ? Right ! Wrong. Having dealt with Mathew at Stratstone BMW Hull from the beginning to chose an appropriate vehicle I have to say the experience was excellent & felt reassured & confident in their ability to full fill the brief I was advised I would receive regular progress reports up until delivery on 2nd March which was acceptable . I received a personal video of my choice of vehicle & was impressed by the customer care However how wrong you can be I had no contact from then on so I rang yesterday to ask when my appointment was to collect the car to be told conflicting information by very rude staff who were not willing to listen to me or reassure me other than who told me I would get the car on 2nd & no it would not be in until the 8th sent several emails with no response until end of business asking what my problem was & so you want to cancel the agreement which I think he wanted me to so I would go away ! Well sorry I'm not just going to go away ! So WHAT are you going to do about it Stratstone???????????????????had someone contacted me to explain the above I may have understood but omg the attitude of the handover staff was unbelievable no I would not recommend BMW stratstone Hull upset & stressed out !
Stratstone BMW Hull are really pathetic! No communication at all within the team. Don’t seem to be interested in doing business. I didn’t ahead with purchase purely because of poor customer service. Don’t do business with them.

Left my car with Stratstone BMW Hull for a recall cable change. 10 hours later it still wasn't ready. I was told my car had been valeted by the service manager, when I collected the car it hadn't but if I would wait 20 minutes they would see what they could do. Every time I use Stratstone in Hull it is the same. No one seems to give a damn and I leave gnashing my teeth. Poor service....
Bit of a late review but better late than never unlike the aftercare here. I bought a BMW 320d from Stratstone BMW Hull 2 years ago and when I went to look at it there were a few issues I noticed and I was told that these would get sorted before I picked the car up. When I picked the car up it was dark so could check properly till the next day when I noticed the issues hadn't been sorted. After several phone calls and emails I have up and accepted these issues weren't going to get sorted. Needless to say won't buy from these again.
Stratstone BMW in Hull took my 2 series as part exchange against another BMW( both financed through BMW finance) but didn’t settle the amount outstanding on the finance at the time the sale was agreed. I’m left being chased for arrears and a black mark against my credit score.
Would not even give Statstone BMW in Hull 1 star if this was an option!! I went in to buy a 2nd hand 5 series - salesman said he could do better deal on new car - the exact same model I was looking at so I agreed and ordered a brand new car. I sold my car so was left without a car for 4 weeks - needless to say when my new car arrived it was the wrong model - not as high spec as the one I was originally promised. To top it all salesman said I was aware not same model - if this was the case being without a car for 4 weeks and I was desperate for my car why would I put myself in the position of still not having a car!!! After several meetings wasting my time took them a week to give me my £1000 deposit back. No apology given whatsoever. Would not recommend this dealer to anyone even my worst enemy!!
Having been let down with another dealer on attempts to purchase a new BMW M140i I enquired with Matthew from Stratstone BMW Hull and was delighted to hear they had one. I’ve bought several new cars over the years and I have to say, wow, these guys are impressive. Matthew the new car sales chap is a gem, he does what he says he is going to do and timely too. So focused and works hard to make things happen. So impressed, these guys have restored my faith in dealers. Just brilliant, if you are looking for a BMW or Mini then the travelling to get it is so worth it. I am travelling 268 miles round trip. That’s how impressed I am with them. Thank you Matthew.
Got a call to ask me if I wanted a test drive at Stratstone BMW in Hull. I live 35miles away. Arrived to be told a salesman had taken car home! The salesman promised to deliver the car for me to keep for a day. Waited two days for a call. When I called nobody was available, but they promised to call me back and over 4 hours later no response. I sent an email to the manager, who has not replied yet. This dealer clearly doesn't care about customer service. I couldn't give it less than one star on rating, but zero is more appropriate. I will take my business elsewhere.
