Had booked a test drive with The Car Hut. Travelled there only to be told the car had been sold 2 hours earlier. The dealer could have made a phone call to save me the trouble of making a pointless trip. He had a bad attitude when I said he could have let me know. I wouldn't recommend using them.

My Peugeot 807 which I purchased from The Car Hut has been trouble free and just as described. I viewed a few cars before I visited The Car Hut and decided on their car as it was exactly as described in the advert, unlike other cars I’ve seen at other garages. The staff were very friendly and I was very happy with the over all service. I would happily return there if/when I’ll be purchasing another used vehicle.

I purchased a Mercedes from the Car Hut back in August 2018 and the vehicle has been fantastic in that time. I was initially greeted by the sales person who left me to inspect the car on my own and then allowed me two test drives - the second time being a motorway test drive. The sales person agreed to put a 12 months MOT on it and also gave me a what I was looking for my part exchange. The car was also cleaned for me once the MOT had been done and for a small fee was delivered to me with a half tank of fuel in it and my part exchange was driven back. The car has been as described from the beginning and overall I couldnt fault the it. I would recommend the Car Hut. Kind regards

I BOUGHT MERCEDES VIANO LAST APRIL FROM THE CAR HUT LTD THE GUY TOLD ME THAT ITS ALL FINE WITH IT ITS ONLY COSMETICS FEW ISSUES.I DROVE 5H TO SEE THAT CAR AND JUST AFTER I LEFT IVE NOTICED THAT ITS GO STRANGE ON THE ROUNDABOUT.NEXT DAY CAR DIDNT START WHEN CALL TO THE DEALER HE SAID ITS PROBABLY I LEFT ELECTRIC SEETS ON WHICH I DIDNT.CAR WAS TAKEN TO GARAGE AND MY STARTER WASNT WORKING, RIGHT REAR COIL WAS BROKEN THATS WHY I FELT STRANGE ON TURNS(GLAD I DIDNT HAVE ACCIDENT AS COMING BACK WITH MY LITTLE SON AND HUSBAND)THEY ALSO FIND THAT HORN IS NOT WORKING AS MODULE IS BROKEN AC THIS SAME HAND BRAKE AS WELL AND LOTS OF RUST UNDER .THAT CAR SHOULDN'T PASS AT ALL MOT AND ON THE PAPERS FROM DEALER MOT LOOKS ABSOLUTELY FINE PASS WITHOUT ISSUE AND THERE WAS NO ADVISORY.IN THE MEAN TIME I SPOKE WITH GUY WHO SOLD ME THAT CAR AND HE SAID I SHOULD SEND HIM BILL AND ALL MONEY WILL BE REFUNDED.NEXT DAY HE WAS VERY ABUSIVE SAID THAT HE WANT PAY FOR ANY OF IT NOT MENTION THAT HE RISK OUR LIVE AND I SHOULD HAVE BEEN PAID ALL IN FULL FOR ALL REPAIRS OR ALL MONEY BACK IF CAR RETURNED TO DEALER BECAUSE 90 DAYS PERIOD.THIS PEOPLE ARE LIARS DONT CARE FOR YOUR SAFETY.MOT WHICH HE GAVE ME WAS FAKE AND CAR NEVER SHOULD HAVE PASS IT AND YES I CAN SAID THAT AS I PROOF IT IN DVSA AND INSPECTOR HAS DECLARE THAT THERE IS NO WAY THAT IT HAS PASS MOT.ALL THOSE REVIEWS WITH GOOD RATES ITS BECAUSE SOMEONE WAS LUCKY OR THEY WRITE THEM BY THEMSELVES AS ANYONE CAN LEAVE REVIEWS ON THAT SIDE.DONT EVEN BOTHER TO GO THERE IF YOU CARE FOR YOUR AND YOUR FAMILY SAFETY!!!!!!!!!!!!!IF ANYONE INTERESTED AND INSIST TO GET THAT CAR PLEASE TAKE IT FIRST FOR QIUCK MOT ITS BETTER TO SPEND £40 THAN RISK YOUR LIVE

Hi, we are sorry about your experience with The Car Hut and also sorry that you feel you had to leave a review around 1 year after you purchased the vehicle from us. According to Vosa you have clocked over 10,000 miles in the vehicle so we are very surprised you feel the vehicle was unsatisfactory. The vehicle was Mot’d at an MOT station completely independent to us who if we may add are a highly reputable garage in the area so we were quite confident the vehicle was fine once it left our showroom. We recall you and your partner inspected the vehicle for well over 1 hour thoroughly and you also test drove it and could not fault it. With regards to the battery our sales person specifically recalls warning you and your partner about the battery and not to leave the wheel chair access power button on so as not to drain the battery. You were still happy to purchase the vehicle even though you were pre-warned about the battery. Might we just add that if the starter was faulty as you how did you manage to start it when you were here? We are always ready to resolve issues asap and within the scope of the law however unfortunately we cannot rectify every fault a vehicle incurs particularly after the warranty period has lapsed and especially 1 year later. I was looking for a car for a couple if weeks then I popped into car hut as i live local. The employee was polite and helped decide a car to buy on the budget I had. He sold me an Astra which had low miles and quite clean. The service was good as they gave me a few good options before deciding.

The Mercedes I purchased in July of last year from The Car Hut has been as described. I made a 45 miles journey to view the car and took mine to part exchange which I got a good price for. The price was very good and I got a good deal considering mine had a few niggles which I made the seller aware about. The service was very good from the point I telephoned them to the time I drove away in the new car. Thank you for a pleasant experience.

The Polo I purchased has been problem free in the time I’ve had it. It’s my daily driver and I have covered fair mileage in the vehicle so far I’ve not had to spend any money on it. The price was very good compared to others on the market. The customer service was very good at the car hut and the salesman was pleasant and very helpful. I highly recommend the car hut and would buy a car from here again. Thank you Car Hut.

I bought a car from The Car Hut took it to my garage and 6 things were wrong with it. So took it back to car hut that had the car a week. I pricked it up took it back to my garage and nothing was done on the car but while I was driving the car back to car hut all the lights came on the dash board and power steering went hand brake wouldn't stay on so straight away he offered to give me my money back no wonder with a car that was falling apart only had the car over a week. If I was you I'd keep away!!!!!!!!!!

However people who have had a bad experience are too quick to leave reviews and although this is their legal right I don’t believe that it reflects the true nature of our business. The number of reviews on here make up a tiny percentage of people who have actually purchased a car from here of which a massive majority are happy and satisfied with their purchase. Thank you

It’s been a couple of months since I bought my Vauxhall Astra from The Car Hut in Hyde and although the car is 9 years old it was in very good condition and as described on EBay. There was no added pressure and the salesperson was highly patient on the test drive while I got used to the drivability. A couple of months later, the car is still in good condition and hasn’t let me down. The staff are very friendly and attentive to my needs - There was a small rip in one of the car mats and without hesitation they replaced all the mats with brand new ones even though only one was ripped. They also picked me up from their local train station, the train was delayed and the driver happily waited for me at the station. I don’t usually write reviews but due to service provided and price I paid for the car I feel that it’s only right to leave one. I highly recommend The Car Hut if your looking for a good used car at at a good price. Thanks

Purchased a Ford Mondeo estate from the Car Hut in December. It had been reduced from forecourt price of £2200 to £1975. I saw the car on AT and went to have a look after phoning ahead. On inspection, I knew I would be taking on a bit of a project as the car had clearly come from auction (lot number still on back of rear view) but wanted the car as it's a rare hi-spec/auto/estate version. During test drive, car drove pretty well. Car had no service history since 2016 and 5 months MOT remaining. Dealer was selling 'as is' meaning a trade sale. Still not a problem for me. I felt the car was overpriced, so I made a perfectly respectable offer but he wouldn't budge below £1950. I turned up on spec over a week later to collect the car and found both front tyres flat and the battery totally dead. I can't really forgive that level of neglect, even if they didn't have the vehicle mechanically inspected they would have known that the tyres kept going flat and the battery wouldn't hold charge. Any respectable dealer should have sorted that as soon as I paid my deposit. Aside from that, I've had to fix leaking rear shocks, buckled rear n/s tyre, reseal all other tyres, give it a really good service and fit a new battery, as the one in the car was beyond help. I will, over time, restore all the other neglect it received at the hands of its last owner, but the above is what I've had to do to get the car in running order. In summary, the money they wanted was right for that car with recent service history, 12 months MOT and in decent running order, but this car didn't tick any of those boxes.
