Great service and bought a second car from them for my daughter .
As this car was automatic which is what we wanted we travelled from Birmingham to pick this car up, unfortunately it was raining. It looked ok as much as we could see and as it was only one year old we thought there cannot be much wrong with it and it was under the manufacturers guarantee. How wrong we were! When we arrived home and the car had dried off there were scratches all over it including a botched up repair to the bumper which was a different colour to the body work a dent and over spray to the near side rear inside door,, broken window switches and a broken tyre sensor which kept appearing as a malfunction on the screen which we were told the car had been standing for a while and it would settle which it didn't. Admittedly they paid for this at a cost of 49.99. As for the bodywork, we had two quotes that we emailed to them and the only acknowledgment we received was that they were not responsible for the body work. According to the Consumers act of 2015 this is not the case, they are. Also the service sheet was not signed or stamped with any address. We will be pursuing this with the company through the courts if they do not reimburse us for the cost of the body work which amounts to 660.00. Clearly they sell cars out as they come in and don't check or carry out any repairs that need doing. If you buy from this dealer be very careful.

It is with great regret to read your review of our business, we have been established for 14 years, selling one owner full service history small automatic cars. We sell approximately 400 cars per year and have a huge loyal customer base with great referrals from previous customers. We sell used cars that carry a degree of wear and tear and refurb all cars are to a retail standard. We support our cars with AA breakdown recovery and give national warranty's, for customers peace of mind. Your review is damming and paints a very negative experience, for which we are sorry, but as we have said consistently, we sell used cars not new. A huge percentage of used car sales are refurbished by all garages, not just us and most customers except this, we have resolved all issues you have raised, offered to arrange a signature on the service sheet, which is minor as you know the car was serviced prior to delivery as agreed. We have done nothing wrong in this sale and I hope the car gives you excellent service going forward. Please contact ourselves if you have any issues, as we are a pro active dealership. And will always assist and support customers. But I can not sell used cars as new and customers with that expectation, should look elsewhere. Your issues about the paintwork are for light minor marks and a apparently a not new colour match on a bumper corner. You revived a full video for the car prior to arranging to view and spent around an hour at our premises before taking delivery, yes I agree it had rained that day, but I no point was your inspection of the car hampered in any way.
The car we bought from The Small Car Company was advertised as having a full service history, the documents supplied were for another car. We are informed that we have to ring someone at Huddersfield Mitsubishi to get confirmation from someone there. There is no service book no evidence of any service. The dealer thinks that this is ok. ???? No service book = no service history. Buyers beware check all the details. This dealer has not been helpfull at all. I presume there is another unhappy customer out there somewhere as these papers (just a motobility paper) is for a vauxhall coupe.

we have identified this customers issue and are resolving it, the car does have full history and is to the correct car, but clarity is required, sorry for not making this clear...we have spoken to the dealers who have confirmed the history and can confirm we serviced the car prior to delivery. the main dealers have confirmed no warranty issues going forward.i understand this will not resolve the customers concerns, but it does address his review and statments within it.we have ordered a new service book and asked the main dealers to stamp in appropriate place, we did supply a full print out history and can confirm we serviced the car before delivery.
The Small Auto Company's service was perfect, had no troubles with them what so ever. The car was also in great condition and had no faults, the car however just wasn't for me which is why I recently sold it! The dealership though was excellent and I would recommend!
