I bought a car from Umberslade Motors in Feb. The car I bought seems good, and they did agree to a decent part exchange offer on my old car. However I have had an ongoing issue which is still not yet resolved, and they seem to have stopped responding to any of my emails. A selling point of the car was that it came with two keys, which was useful as we would be sharing the car between two of us. When I went to drive away we found one key was not actually for this car and didn't fit. The guy who was there said if we contacted the owner he would aim to sort it out. I did some research and found that a new key would cost me around £130, so I emailed the owner to ask if he would be willing to cover this cost, as we had bought the car on the agreement that it was with two keys. I had no reply so had to chase him up again, and he offered £50 towards it. I wasn't 100% happy with this as it still left me £80 out of pocket but because it had taken so long for a response I figured I would draw a line under it and move on so accepted this offer. More than two months later and despite me chasing it up multiple times, we've still not received a penny back and now he seems to be ignoring my emails. I feel a fair resolution would be for Umberslade Motors to agree to cover the full cost of a new key, not least due to the inconvenience I've had in chasing them up so much and them not following up on their promises.

We are thrilled that you are happy the vehicle however it is an unfortunate situation with the key. The car was not sold with 2 keys as you state, at your test drive you were given only one key and were told that only one key was available. Given that the vehicle has run without issue and you had a good part exchange value or your vehicle we are saddened to only see a 2* review. We were happy to contribute, and are under the impression that our side of the costs have been paid. I advertised my car on a dealer website Dino made an offer that I accepted he organised to collect car on a specified day I took the day off work and waited and waited no one turned up no communication from Dino then he text and said it would be Monday which I said that I would be putting the car back on the website as I felt very uneasy car back on website 2 other offers made so I am thinking of accepting etc get a knock on the door Monday morning a driver has turned up to collect car ! No money or bank details asked for took two hours to get in touch with Dino who then says he doesn't want the car ! Absolute shambles wouldn't buy a toy car of this man ! No organisation or communication at all ! So now this man has to pay for a drivers waste of journey and unfortunately he shall be receiving a bill for my wasted day off work due to his lack of communication! Good luck to anyone buying or selling from this garage !

Your run of the mill car dealership, choose your car, sign the papers and off you go. There isn't and sit down and a cup of coffee but the turnaround was quick and the car hasn't given me any reason to go back and to me that's what's important.

I got my car from Umberslade Motors Limited in Solihull back in December. Everything went well and the car is great to sum it up Its alright. The dealer had no issues to resolve so I cant comment on that question. I am more than happy to recommend them from the way I was treated during my purchase.
